I spent 4 nights on Santorini on our honeymoon, thirty nine years ago! I am so glad you got to see it! There were no pools back then so we went down what felt like one thousand steps to get to a red sand beach to swim. I will never forget it. I only wish I had the beautiful handmade things you have when I was there! As far as the bathing suit, when you go to a place where other women are wearing similar attire and you realize that you are at least as lovely as they, you will find it easy. I'm sure your husband would be delighted to see you in it. You are perfect. Be open to the moment! Katy

I was wondering if it’s your lower half your feeling self conscious about (which is my personal challenge, I could be completely wrong so just ignore my suggestion if I am) I would wear them with some boardshort. Not sure if this is a thing in the UK but definitely a thing in Australia.
You made some lovely garments. For your unworn swim suit, I'd suggest you put one color thread in the bobbin and the other color thread on top and carefully topstitch around the entire suit. Also, possibly make a pair of shorts to build your confidence...

When they say you need to pick out the right fabric for the pattern, you really did pick out the right fabric for all your patterns. My favorite was the last dress that you wore to the wedding, that one is gorgeous, and you nailed it - both fit, fabric and the appeal is beautiful. Pressing delicate fabrics- I took a tip from My Bucolic Life is to use Teflon sheets (from kitchen products e.g clingfilm area of supermarket ) when applying interfacing and anything that might melt. Very cheap and it works. Beautiful makes as always.

The saltwater slip is my favourite pattern too. I made my first one from a kit from 1st for fabrics and I now have four and another one planned. It’s perfect for summer and an easy sew for a fairly new sewist. 😊 I suppose I should really try some other simple dresses, but when something works it’s tempting to just make more of the same 🤣

You look great in all of your makes but if I had to pick I think my favourite was the jersey knit Saguaro set - you just really really suit the colours and the style and I think you looked both comfortable and relaxed in it - and so happy in the photos you shared. I don’t know about swimwear, but I have used wonder clips on on their projects where I could not iron to smash the seams down before top stitching. So many lovely makes! Your Calvin Wrap dress is gorgeous.
Your Saltwater slip is gorgeous but my favourite has to be your Calvin wrap dress, you looked absolutely stunning in it. Also love your Foxy Boxers. Glad it’s not just me who puts extras in and then doesn’t wear them! 🤣🤣
When I made swimwear I don’t think I pressed anything but I topstitched all the seams to keep them flat. You could try using a pressing cloth, not sure if that would stop the melting issue, but then once it got wet I guess you’d lose the crisp press, so topstitching does help a lot
My favourite outfit was your Calvin wrap dress for the wedding. The material was gorgeous. Well done for making so much. I’m just about to make a dress for my holiday in Tenerife. I tend to take enough outfits to wear twice on holiday. The more comfortable the better. 😊
Love your Foxy Boxy shorts. With regards to the waist band, is it one thick piece of elastic sewn through several times to give the look of rows or do you stitch several channels and feed thinner elastic through each channel? I love the finished look of the waist band but wondered if you sew through a thick elastic, does it stop it being stretchy? I hope that makes sense. I’m off to Santorini in a few weeks time!
My recent holiday wardrobe was me made too, it's so nice when people compliment you and you can say "thanks I made it"! I gave up with swimwear, no matter what needle/thread combo I used, my machine skipped stitches when I was doing the zigzag top stitching 🥴 Loved your Saltwater dresses, I'm wary of them because I need to wear a bra or my boobs would be hanging below the hemline, but I have just downloaded the Foxy Boxies as my daughter will LOVE them!

I made the Talia One Piece twice and I pressed the pieces on the lowest setting of my iron. I also used a bit of steam and that worked quite well! Otherwise my pieces would have been very wobbly 🤪 hope that helps! ☺️

I ironed my swimwear i made I have a nylon setting and I used that! 👌 I did test it on a bit of fabric first tho just incase 😂😂 Xx
