    Tthe Aponogetons are my favorite plants. I had 3 Madagascar in my 20 gallon and they grew like monsters. Now I have 1 Madagasscar and 3 Ulvaceus in my 60 gallon, plus many more plants. The tank looks gorgeous.

      There's actually an "APONOGETON ONDULATUS" and is the same as olvaceus but in "mini".

    How do you trim the 2nd plant? Can you relocate it in a tank if it's already rooted itself?? I adopted the bulb from a resident that moved and left them behind and didn't know what it was

      They're aponegeton Ulvaceous.
      I'm growing 5 in a 29 gallon tank.
      Wish me luck.

    This would be perfect for my 180 tall (3’ tall) tank! I’m wonder if, when it goes dormant, you could leave it in the tank and it would still come back? Or do you have to take it out?

    • @jeffalbillar7625
      @jeffalbillar7625 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can leave it in.
      You'll just have a bare spot for a short time.

    I have the lighter green one. Can you propagate them and how do you do it?

  • @DustySteel

    Well dang, I bought a pack of bulbs and put them all in my 29 gallon aquarium. I keep it only filled about halfway because I have a Betta in the tank. Dude at Petco said these plants don’t get very big. Now I’m thinking that 5 is way too many for my tank.

      I also have 5 growing in a 29 gallon.
      How are you doing with them?
      Any info would be appreciated

      @@jeffalbillar7625 if they don’t sprout within a couple of days then return them. I did this twice because only one or two per package were sprouting. Once they start growing they grow very quickly and produce flowers on very long stems. Those flowers will also grow seeds that drop down and grow more sprouts.

    Does this plant need root tabs or liquid feet’s if put into a gravel substrate ?

    • @Luke-dh1ye
      @Luke-dh1ye 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Depends. If you want it to grow fast, sure, some people with a heavily stocked tank dont use ferts. Def not needed

    Bulb plants go through a resting stage. I presume you let it rest in place? It wouldn't get removed in nature is my thought....
    Also how long does it rest for?

    • @MTTVfilms
      @MTTVfilms 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not for certain but I think the resting face has to do with seasons, so it would be during many months and prob dry ?
