The discussion on the product end-of-life is absolute gold! It highlights one of the most overlooked concepts in product decision-making: opportunity cost.
The focus on PM to foster a culture of product so that ultimately the best decision gets made is one aspect that is often overlooked. Loved the simplification of concepts around strategy!
Goldmine, if you're looking to learn product better, go no where else! Love how Satyajeet puts product strategy - "defining what the game is and how we are going to play it well" 🙌
A very insightful hot-take on what constitutes a bad strategy- " too many bad words; not specific to context/situation; principles written only to justify the strategy"
Timely discussion as we head into a new quarter - super helpful discussion for any level PM to chart course for and with the business to support strong outcomes. Liking the "spicy take" on PM as a strategic actor vs pure execution
There are so many great pointers on Product Strategy. I am pivoting to PM from SDE, and these points are absolute gold! I have an interview with Google, and I hope some of these will help me get that dream PM job!
@growproduct, am kinda stuck on the experiment architecture mentioned by @Satyajeet Salgar, I mean while experimentation is designed based on assumptions to be validated depending on the point you're at different stages of development, for lean organizations, how can they have this set up, - what is the makeup or structure of an experiment architecture like?
Question: Always wanted ask a leader like Satyajeet: Is it too late for someone start a career in Product Management? I understand this is not directly related to the video content.
@growproduct well it looks like the job market is saturated with experienced PMs and it has always been hard for someone switching from a Program Management or SWEing to Product Management.
