It sounds like this team was created because the cross functional product teams have become more like feature factories and so don’t have the bandwidth for true customer discovery exercises. Normally, each product team should have their vision clearly defined.
The question I would ask is: why do existing Product Managers and teams not feel empowered to do this type of work themselves?

Thanks for sharing these insightful tool kits, diagrams and most important of all, the possible mindsets needed when doing a product visioning. I plan to apply for a position that is relevant with product development so I decided to watch your video first before I write my resume. Wish me luck and thank you again!

Thanks for a fantastic master class!!
Got loads of insight on how does TH-cam approaches the middle ground between disruptive and incremental innovation and also how you vertebrate the process. A jewel of knowledge

The 3 types of innovation are similar to McKinsey’s 3 horizon model for innovation. This model is an industry standard. So important to reference that for further reading.

The 3 horizons model is a growth strategy framework by McKinsey that you can use to think about the future of your company. It can help you manage growth in a coordinated way. People often get it confused with an innovation strategy framework, but that's incorrect.

Great talk! We have 2 full day workshops to do visioning. Mostly failed. Now I see why :D
At best it was time to get everyone in the team together.
