You know that Tatooine exists actually? It’s a city in Tunisia, and there the scenes in Star Wars of Planet Tatooine were filmed. That’s the origin of the name of the planet.
Steve's Kitchen I’m going to try it myself The only bad part of this is the 2 week wait (I didn’t really use the link you provided I found one online where you could get like 2 bags for $6)
By the way there a hell of a lot of other recipes and I combined them all into my own with this one Cut up a head of red cabbage (or just use 8 cups shredded red cabbage either way) Cook cabbage shreds in enough water to cover for 20 minutes or so under medium high Strain it catching cabbage water in a bowl Add 1 tsp baking soda Now do exactly what you did in this video Get the ternatea, soak it in 200 mL water Yadi yadi yada Now measure 1 cup of the blue cabbage water and combine it with the ternatea water Now pour in 250 mL skim milk blend the following . 1 ripe banana (sliced up) . 2 tbsp fat free yoghurt . 1 tsp honey . 1/2 tsp vanilla . 1 tbsp sugar . 1 packet Sucralose . 1/2 tsp blue fruit punch mix (I know it sounds stupid but it works kinda) Now blend the 2 mixtures together Pour into 1000 mL pitcher and fill the rest of the volume with preferred milk If not satisfied with the color add a small amount of blue food coloring
In my peranakan culture, we make delicious cakes with this flower buds. It can be bought rather inexpensively. The blue dye from the flower buds makes them taste and looks beautiful too ;-) interesting take on milk !
You know the reports of Aunt Beru and Uncle Owens killed by Storm Troopers feels more suspiciously like Steve leaving the fire on the stove and he cradled his Bantha Milk in the corner and later firing a few blaster shots to make look like the Troopers did it.
By the way did you know that there’s an official recipe that’s readily available because of some Disney app? And I’m going to word it exactly like they did (honestly make this then make some of yours then combine them it’s more than worth it but I know full damn well that you won’t) - 250mL skim milk (you can use whatever milk your child prefers) - 1 ripe banana (mashed) - 2 tbsp fat free yoghurt - 1 tsp honey to sweeten For the yoghurt I recommend blueberry (I know it’s only blue by name not by nature but it kinda works flavor wise I mean I hate blueberries, I hate yoghurt unless it’s frozen, but blend them both together and it still sucks but put blueberry yoghurt in this recipe and you’ve got something special I’m not trying to sway you anymore I’m just throwing the ball it’s up to you if you wanna catch it
Interesting I must say. Maybe done with half and half. Not sure how to spell the blooms name. I think my mom used to plant them. She never used the in cooking. What flavor do they impart? Thanks and take care from Oklahoma, Mike and Vee
Oh it was both , the intro of course was what made my eyes open wide and the smile on my face but also the little clips of the movie when you were poring the milk, and yes I been with your channel for a while , I’m not sure if you remember when I did the Cuban bread and I told about it that it was a big success, but above all that I really do enjoy all your videos :-)
Not bad but here’s my way to do it . Heat 1 cup vitamin D milk on the stove while stirring with a cinnamon stick . Add blue food coloring while continuing to stir . Put that in the fridge . Combine the flooring in a blender - 250 mL skim milk - 1 ripe banana - 2 tbsp fat free blueberry yoghurt - 1 tsp honey - 1/2 tsp vanilla - 1 tbsp sugar . 1 packet Sucralose . 1 packet blue raspberry Kool-aid - 1 singles packet berry punch flavor powder - 1 singles packet blue fruit punch mix . Put that in the fridge . Cut up 1/2 a head of red cabbage . Cook in enough water to cover on medium high . Bring to a light boil and simmer for 10 minutes on low . Strain it catching cabbage water in a bowl . Measure 1 cup . Add 1 tsp baking soda . Grab 5-6 dried butterfly pea shrubs and plop them into any vessel . Add 200 mL boiled water . Stir and leave to steep for 45 minutes . Combine our blue waters in a 1000 mL pitcher . Fill the remaining volume with vitamin D milk . Refrigerate for an hour . After 1 hour has passed get rid of the shrubs that have been left in there all that time . Combine our blue milks together . Refrigerate until you’re ready to drink it
It would go Darker with just a few more Petals but the Real Bantha Milk is not very dark Ruby :) and if you heat the milk you stand a chance of souring it :)
Okay I know I’ve posted some on here but this is a different one here’s my interpretation and this time I didn’t just combine several different recipes measurements and all I used them as a basis and even added some of my own spin I’ve been to Tatooine as well but I’m sorry to say yours doesn’t cut the ice either Here’s how to really replicate bantha milk . Combine the following in a ziplock bag (equal quantities) - berry punch flavor powder - blue raspberry flavor powder - blue Hawaiian Punch flavor powder . Set that aside for a while . Grab a butterfly pea teabag and make 600mL of blue tea out of it using the coffee maker . Put the teabag in the tea and leave it there for 45 minutes . Cut up 1/2 a head of red cabbage and cook in enough water to cover on medium high . Bring to a light boil and simmer for 10 minutes on low . Strain it catching cabbage water in a bowl add a tsp of baking soda . Combine the following in a 1000mL pitcher - 100mL of our blue tea - 100mL of our blue cabbage water - enough vitamin D milk to fill the remaining volume (either that or whole milk) . Put that in the fridge and set timer to 1 hour . Combine the following in a blender - 250mL vitamin D milk - 1/2 pint of heavy cream - 1 ripe banana (mashed) - 2 tbsp fat free blueberry yoghurt - 1 tsp honey - 8 tsp vanilla extract - 1 tbsp sugar - 1 packet Sucralose - 2 tbsp brown sugar - 2 tsp powdered sugar - original coffee creamer - hazelnut coffee creamer - French vanilla coffee creamer - 1 tsp cinnamon - 1 tsp of our blue flavor powder mixture - 1 shot glass of Mountain Dew voltage . Put that in the fridge until previously set timer goes off . Combine our blue colored milks
LOL, you are too kind Leslie. I need to convert you to the Dark Side, Star wars reference Leslie, it may go over your head XX Have a great weekend. Steve
Incase your wondering why I added sugar and other sweeteners to the recipes I gave you that’s because bantha milk is supposed to be not only rich but also sweet Han Solo describes it as overly sweet you seem to have only taken the richness factor into account
Not at all, Lactose is a Sugar and that is why good quality whole milk is naturally sweet, you are thinking Sugar rather than natural sweetness, the problem is if you like a lot of sugar you can't taste the subtle sweetness of Lactose which occurs in Milk. If you add a foreign sweetener, you'll miss the glory.
Steve's Kitchen Oh well then I’m still going to stick with the 1 cup of brown sugar in my recipe I’ve been adding outside sweeteners all my life and my taste buds won’t let me stop now
I have my own recipe very rich and very sweet just like bantha milk and I have my own ideas on why it’s blue Cut up a head of red cabbage Boil it in enough water to cover for 20 minutes or so Drain water out and catch in a bowl Dump back into pot and allow to simmer Once liquid is reduced pour it back into bowl Add a tsp of baking soda Now you have an all natural food dye imitating the chemical reaction that I believe occurs when banthas eat red cabbage mix the following in a blender . 250 mL preferred milk . 2 tbsp fat free yoghurt . 1 ripe banana . Honey . 1/2 tsp vanilla . 1 tbsp sugar . 1 packet Sucralose/Splenda Now add 1/8 cup of our homemade food dye Pour into glass and enjoy
By the way there’s this channel called mind over much that basically does the same thing your doing but she uses a different plant The red cabbage . Cut up 1/2 a head of red cabbage . Cook in enough water to cover on medium high . Bring to a light boil and simmer for 10 minutes on low . Add 1 tsp baking soda . Add 1 cup of it to your recipe (This isn’t how she did it this is how I did it but it fits with your recipe surprisingly perfectly)
Ok Thanks but have you tasted Boiled Cabbage Juice?? mine is more natural and tastes good too.. Where do Bantha graze on Boiled Cabbage Juice and Baking Soda? I'll address you other comment here or pose a question? What do Bantha east then? And do not many Plants grow throughout Desserts?

I’ve been to Tatooine as well and banthas also love to eat red cabbage and the flavor of it kinda makes its way into the milk I’ve listed how to use that in another comment Just make you version then add some of that to it it’ll be much more accurate to bantha milk I tell you

great storytelling, and i love to see that chefs jacket, it looks so lovely. now, just let me point out the technical term for ternatea. "BLUE CLITORIA". now, i wonder why they renamed it? "blue clit milk" sounds exotic to me....

Naboo also exists, in north Italy
So, its on Earth?

It’s overrun with isis now
If you make a white Russian with Bantha Milk would it be a Blue Russian
LOL.. BOT it would indeed Merry Christmas Buddy..
Or Russian Blue, "Meow".
Thank you for featuring me in your video man! Means so much to me. It's been hard since I got cut out from the Last Jedi...

Obi-Wan Kenobi
Great video Steve! I think I'll get some ternatea flowers instead of using blue food coloring.
Im pretty sure bantha milk is suposed to be sweet so instead of just putting food colouring you could also add a bit of sugar or sweetener...
Pretty cool looking drink.
Thanks Buddy..
Steve's Kitchen
I’m going to try it myself
The only bad part of this is the 2 week wait (I didn’t really use the link you provided I found one online where you could get like 2 bags for $6)
I know right! I am delicious.
By the way there a hell of a lot of other recipes and I combined them all into my own with this one
Cut up a head of red cabbage (or just use 8 cups shredded red cabbage either way)
Cook cabbage shreds in enough water to cover for 20 minutes or so under medium high
Strain it catching cabbage water in a bowl
Add 1 tsp baking soda
Now do exactly what you did in this video
Get the ternatea, soak it in 200 mL water Yadi yadi yada
Now measure 1 cup of the blue cabbage water and combine it with the ternatea water
Now pour in 250 mL skim milk
blend the following
. 1 ripe banana (sliced up)
. 2 tbsp fat free yoghurt
. 1 tsp honey
. 1/2 tsp vanilla
. 1 tbsp sugar
. 1 packet Sucralose
. 1/2 tsp blue fruit punch mix (I know it sounds stupid but it works kinda)
Now blend the 2 mixtures together
Pour into 1000 mL pitcher and fill the rest of the volume with preferred milk
If not satisfied with the color add a small amount of blue food coloring
Does it taste just like normal milk?
Pretty much
In my peranakan culture, we make delicious cakes with this flower buds. It can be bought rather inexpensively. The blue dye from the flower buds makes them taste and looks beautiful too ;-) interesting take on milk !
It's a very Versatile flower indeed Christina :) And Chemically interesting to play with in food.. 💜💙

By the way did you know that there’s an official recipe that’s readily available because of some Disney app?

Boil it in enough water to cover for 20 minutes or so
Drain water out and catch in a bowl

. 1 ripe banana

. Add 1 cup of it to your recipe

. Measure 1 cup of the cabbage water then add the baking soda and pour that whole thing into the bantha milk
Steve's Kitchen
Please the answers to those are so simple
Yes it’s not possible that they would have cabbage in the desert but they wouldn’t flower like the ternatea either and this is a galaxy far far away they could have a way that’s foreign to us
Plus isn’t it e tire possible that their moisture vaporators grow both of the things that we use and cabbage water in milk doesn’t taste as bad as it sounds
And no they don’t eat the baking soda the cabbage water turns blue when coming into contact with baking soda you see the baking soda in the cabbage imitates the chemical reaction that I theorize occurred in the banthas stomach
Now to post this and see what else you asked
Oh I guess I covered everything
Come on did you really expect me to suggest something like that without thinking it through?
And no they wouldn’t consume the cabbage juice they would consume some red cabbage and there’s this process called digestion that puts what they’ve consumed into liquid form I simply imitated that by making a cabbage water
And of course the chemical reaction
And could you please give it a try before you judge
I add less water, milk and water tastes awfull together
now it just need to be green then this man will rule the galaxy
