Shkodra is such an old and lovely city. It has two rivers, the biggest lake in the Balkans and next to adriatic sea. Once it was the main city of Illyria. It resisted two sieges of the roman empire.
Steve, your videos are amazing! Enjoy your stay in Albania and thanks for sharing these beautiful places with us. Kevin’s English is excellent. Albanian guy?
oh wow, I stay in that hotel tradita summer 2023. is a very lovely hotel, ready for next day hiking to Valbona & Theth, then back. While in Shkodra dont forget to visit Rozafa Castle. Enjoy the stay.
Hi all. As Albanian immigrant which I’m living past 25 years in uk I’m so great-full to watch such a nice reviews from USA and Canada citizens which did visit my lovely country. God bless Steve and his wife and we cannot thank enough for that. Such positive and good attitude towards Albanian which we need to improve more than that. Honestly I don’t know how Albania is in map as the did ripped on parts from Turkey, Greece, Serbia and some EU countries which they did allowed genocide and mass killings millions of Albanian pas 200 years until 1999 ( thanks NATO and USA) I want to apologise from my bottom of my heart for mixing some politics here but I’m so frustrated with the cruelty against Albania ❤
That corn bread and cheese is one of the most basic treats we Albanians love to eat. We accompany that with cucumber or scallion. For some reason now restaurants use white corn bread there whereas yellow corn bread is better at least for my taste.
Steve, l just found your channel and am loving your videos! They are interesting, informative, warm and entertaining. Rick Steves’s got nothing on you 😂. Keep them coming. Thanks!
Wow that all looked amazing, great filming Michelle! I watched that while eating a bowl of weetabix, so I didn’t get the exact taste 😂 but I did savour the atmosphere 😊 thank you.
Wow, what an amazing table of yummy deliciousness I would love to try all of that and presentation was excellent atmosphere and ambience excellent what a delightful place to go. Is that the South of Albania? it's a beautiful place to visit.
You should go to the plane, helicopter and tank museum outside of Tirana it has some very nice planes like the MiG 15, 17, 19 and for tanks the type 59 or 69 I forgot. A russian tank destroyer and some IFV's
around Lille (in Wambrechies to be precise) they make an alcohol out of juniper. I don't think it's exactly like Gin. you should start a comparison. I use Juniper bays in my jars when preserving food
wow the Place off Saint Mother Teressa look so great, but u must try the Place called👉 Mrizi i Zanave👈 is like a Dream came true best Restaurant ever, the Land off Eagle have so many things to see and try, i hope u go to that Place i told u ok, enjoy
@@saimircipi6964 A sad misconceptions of British food. It comes from the modesty of Britishism, the food of that country is in fact some of the best in the world. Not so dissimilar to the food here. Don't believe the nonsense you hear or indeed blindly share. Thank you. I'm Australian another country blessed with a history of great British food.. cheers.
@@Steve-Owens To be fair, you are British-Australian. It's a bit unusual to speak of the UK as if you are NOT British when you ARE British, both culturally and legally. You wouldn't have developed a British accent unless you had lived in the UK during at least part of your later childhood. I know this to be a fact because my accent comes from a region of the UK where I was NOT born, and yet I strongly associate myself with that region, even though I was not born there. For example, we have both lived in Germany, but that does not make us German, at all. Please stop pretending. You are British, but also legally an Australian.

That's the one of my favorite countries, amazing food, beautiful country, friendly people, and very safe, I will go back Great video by the way
