This video rocks in so many ways because not only are you instructing us of your techniques but you’re also instilling confidence to those who aren’t comfortable with using a polisher. That is FRIGGIN AWESOME! And you need to make a shirt that says “FRIGGIN AWESOME!”
Joe Joe another point I liked that he made was on the horizontal planes its alright to pursue deeper scratches versus horizontal planes like doors and such probably won’t have to waste too much time chasing. Just my two cents. What about you? Was there any take aways you got from this video?
Matt , I believe you inspire those who maybe a little unsure and lack some confidence to do as you do . Thanks for keeping it simple and informative.👍🇺🇸🇦🇺
Hey Matt, may I offer a suggestion in pad blowing? What I found works is that I half fill a bucket with water. The empty half I spray pure ONR on the sides. When I blow the pads I put them in close to the water. What falls in the water just sinks to the bottom and what flies about, sticks to the side. Having ONR is then a blast to just rinse at the end. That way you save hundreds of miles walking outside and the dust is in the bucket.
Matt that car will be perfect for CLS and EXO on that beautiful blue ride. 20 year old Honda's like all cars back then had more paint, clear and harder clear then new Honda's today. No Jankiness there.
If memory serves me correct from my EBP EM1 days all of the plastic components are black. And the metal pieces typically from factory have a grey primer. Hence the shade variation over time. It can be resolved if the right primer is used on plastic parts
Have you tried adding a bit of detail spray to help prime your pads? That's what I do here. Really helps. Then you can use the brush to get the bulk out and get to work.
Quick thought. I love your videos. Love how you say what your thinking. Helps me understand. Sorta reminds me of Bob Ross. If you could say “let’s get rid of these happy little scratches” would be awesome.
To those of you who are car enthusiasts or want to become a pro detailer, Matt said anyone can do paint correction. He should have said, anyone can learn to do it. The difference between a pro and anyone else is we can do achieve better results in less time and are profitable. You can certainly buy a machine and take all day to paint correct and you will be better and more efficient as you practice.
I would estimate if you had the funds to buy a bunch of pads and products as well as few machines, you could be extreme adept and efficient in a rather short period of time depending on the coordination. I'd estimate 6 weeks or so depending on how good you are at trying different things.
Hey Matt, as I’ve always understood don’t know this for a fact but it’s always kind of made sense to me I was told that the fading is due to an additive that they add to the paint for for flexible parts like bumpers and what not, you used to see that fading a lot more and even more dramatic back in the day not so much anymore which makes sense to me as obviously pain and additives have gotten so much better Paint looks great and even better it’s all original I think worth the five grand Hope everything turns out like you plan so far so good. not a big fan of the proposed red carpet maybe some red accents in a black and gray interior would look pretty sweet, never been a big fan of a red interior I’m sure whatever you decide is gonna look pretty darn good stay safe👍
Very nice video! Took me back to when I owned my 2000 civic EX. I learned to detail on that car. I used to hand polish it with zaino. Let's get that 15% cord sale going!
hey matt how about getting couple of painters drop clothes around the car when polishing and keep the blower next to you so you don't have to walk outside on every passes does that make sense to you civic looks awesome by the way
What is the small polish machine your using the brand? And the larger one. Really interested in buying them. They seem like very high quality I like them. Also subbed really enjoying your videos.
Are there a few different grades within the Jescar compound line up? Not really familiar with Jescar, so just wondering exactly which one you were using here. Thx Matt.
Uh oh, dont get all Casey Neistat on us with the hipster music at the end... In all though, this car is gonna be beautiful! I cant wait to see the paint when its done. BTW, that air compressor sounds soo good.
Obsessed Garage 👌🏼 OK good! You got me droolin over that beauty every new video I watch. Just bought about 57 entries for it, hoping for a bit of good luck!
So I've sent an email concerning some orders I made and still haven't received an answer. Is there a quicker way to get a response? Keep up the great work Matty Boy!
Matt, I have two relatively flat cars (charger and challenger) and want to order a rupes polisher from you, which one would you recommend starting with if I only can buy 1 for maybe a year? Also, I prefer electric.
Repaint and wet sand colour and clear after every layer. That orange peel is just how the paint is laid on from the factory. Without repainting, the best you can do is polish and coat it to perfection like Matt does.
Matt 2019: I don’t put stuff on sale. Matt 2020: Lets put these on sale, and get rid of them. We have too many. 🤣🤣🤣 Love ya, Matt. I’m gonna get one, just to get them off the shelf.
Ha, ha... I don't want to devalue it, but I have too darn many. We had an entire 10x20 storage unit full of them. I had to order that many to get them made in black.
Do we have any info on that door-trunk latch lock? I dont even know how is called that thing. After a quick look on the og site I didn't see anything similar. Thanks
You said not to get bent out of shape last vid. Oh by the end of the vid I was so bent out of shape you don't want to know where my foot, elbow, knee, and hands were, no human should ever be forced to know that. LOL Just kidding can't wait to watch the rest of the build. How do I qualify for the give away?
Hey when's the power cord sale lol
I am absolutely loving this series. Si is coming along so nicely.
This video rocks in so many ways because not only are you instructing us of your techniques but you’re also instilling confidence to those who aren’t comfortable with using a polisher. That is FRIGGIN AWESOME! And you need to make a shirt that says “FRIGGIN AWESOME!”
Joe Joe draw a line Velcro pad to make sure that the pad is actually rotating the way it should, good way to have an observable marker.
Joe Joe another point I liked that he made was on the horizontal planes its alright to pursue deeper scratches versus horizontal planes like doors and such probably won’t have to waste too much time chasing. Just my two cents.
What about you? Was there any take aways you got from this video?
Who else is pumped to see the final results after correction?!
Boom!
This car is amazing I had a friend who had this same car same color years back when kept up to spec this car just looks amazing
“Always close the lid on your polish bottle” - Forgets to do it on this giant sonax bottle 😂😎 love you Matt haha

Good idea

That is a beautiful shade of blue . Looking forward to seeing the rest of the car finished.
I would love to try out the Rupes pneumatic tools. That 3" polisher looks like a dream to use.
It is great to see you having so much fun polishing!
Thank you for doing this. I miss my Milano red em1
At no point ever was Matt this excited and happy with the Corvette.
Was planning on picking up a few of the power cords, waiting for the sale now

That trunk came out amazing!
The 25' cord is perfect for using inside the garage but I'll get a 50' for sure when the sale hits!
After this polish, Electron Blue will become Thunder Cracker ⚡
I'm all in for the Red/Blue Optimus Prime theme. 🇺🇲
I gave Powercords as Xmas gifts to my guy friends. They love them.
Loving the excitement in this series!!
Definitely in for a Pro Lock sale! Let’s do it!
Si looks great brother ! Keep up the great content

I have to look at margins, but it might be a little better than that.
@@ObsessedGarage I will stay tuned. I'm in for two once you put them up. I love that they are black, and lock the plug in place.
I'll take a couple on sale
Been watching for a bit, finally made my first order today🤘🏻 Thanks for all the info!
hey matt how about getting couple of painters drop clothes around the car when polishing and keep the blower next to you so you don't have to walk outside on every passes
does that make sense to you civic looks awesome by the way
This channel is so inspiring.
Hey Matt.. Huge Fan!!!.. looking to see if the sale is still on for the power cord???
I want one, those are awesome. Liking the blue one.
What is the small polish machine your using the brand? And the larger one. Really interested in buying them. They seem like very high quality I like them. Also subbed really enjoying your videos.
that came out so CLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAN. holy shit
Amazing😍😍. Big hug from Portugal 👍
I got the Flex PXE 80 10.8-EC and it sure beats the Rupes nano :P
That came out awesome!
Awesome video! Cant wait for the next one!
This is why I didn’t want to start the series now I’m all caught up lol
i seriously love matt
The holes on that trunk don't appear to be OE. Maybe the wing was installed by the dealer or one of the owners?
Ive seen that color deference too on my wife’s white 2019 Camry, the plastic painted body components are just slightly off white.
Luke Grandgenett it is a bit odd, wonder if that’s caused because of how it dries on the different materials?
Hey Matt try some 3D One it’s great for applications like the Honda you can cut and polish with it!
Nah, doesn't finish very well.
matty i feel like im in a master class.
I don't know if there is one yet...... but you need a "SOOOOOO GOOD" shirt
watching him achieve the quality he is satisfying as it is 😅
Hey guys! Could you please get your last week's podcast online? Many thanks!
The jescar does dust up pretty good I have noticed
It has very little dust.
Hey Matt. Can you tell me anything about detailing black cars?
Do you have any videos of you detailing a black vehicle specifically?
It's the same. The advantage is that it is a little easier to see the defects.
Power cord sale!!
Old school make America great sale.
power cord i need one.
I like that power cord. I like cash and carry sales and can be there in 15 minutes.
Hey I heard there was a power cord sale around here somewhere
Can you make a video or series on what we need for blowgun?
The question is mainly due to Milwaukee m18 air compressor new release.
Love the series... now when’s that sale on the power cords! 😆
Are there a few different grades within the Jescar compound line up? Not really familiar with Jescar, so just wondering exactly which one you were using here. Thx Matt.
Looking for some pro lock cords.... you ever gonna run a sale? I'm a buyer!
Yep, I'll get with everyone at HQ tomorrow to turn it on.
Looks great
What kind polishing cart is that is there video where you introduce it? looks awesome!
It's a Sonic.
I mean on a flat surface it would take you a good while to blow through. Corners and edges are the real concern.
Why am i not getting these notifications!?
You didn't ring the bell?
I see you have the D.I Rinse in the corner. How do you like it versus the CR Spotless?
Great video!
dying for one of those power cords when are they going on sale.
Surprised you didn't take the Honda badge off the back to polish then put a Type R one on. 😁
This is why people hate on Hondas, for being something they're not lol
@@gustavocastillo9954 he had already mentioned doing it in a previous video hence why I suggested it. I don't need to pretend, look at my picture.
I wonder about your thoughts on an ITR...
Off topic question but if you were given a choice between your E92 and 911 C2S, which one would you pick?
C2S
how do you know when to use Jescar on a foam pad vs Sonax on foam?
Hey! When’s the Power cord SALE!!!!!!!!
Uh oh, dont get all Casey Neistat on us with the hipster music at the end...
In all though, this car is gonna be beautiful! I cant wait to see the paint when its done.
BTW, that air compressor sounds soo good.
It's kind of a joke for the M5 giveaway.
Obsessed Garage 👌🏼 OK good! You got me droolin over that beauty every new video I watch. Just bought about 57 entries for it, hoping for a bit of good luck!
Hey, when's that sale coming?
Hey when's the power cord sale
So I've sent an email concerning some orders I made and still haven't received an answer. Is there a quicker way to get a response? Keep up the great work Matty Boy!
We are getting thousands of emails as people seem to be sitting at home. Working through one at a time about 14 hours a day.
What is the brand of the wax your using?
Matt, I have two relatively flat cars (charger and challenger) and want to order a rupes polisher from you, which one would you recommend starting with if I only can buy 1 for maybe a year? Also, I prefer electric.
LHR 15 is what you'll want
When’s that sale!
Is there anyway to get rid of that “orange peel” in the paint. Most cars have it. Just wasn’t sure if you could get perfect “glass” paint.
Repaint and wet sand colour and clear after every layer. That orange peel is just how the paint is laid on from the factory. Without repainting, the best you can do is polish and coat it to perfection like Matt does.
I sign up for the cord sale... just say when...
Meguiars 205 would be majic on that Honda...
I don't like 205 or 210.
@@ObsessedGarage Ok! Will pick up some Jescar and try that out. I hear great things about it.
Great job 👍
Now that was awesome
When is the sale coming ...?
I'll set it up tomorrow.
Matt 2019: I don’t put stuff on sale.
Matt 2020: Lets put these on sale, and get rid of them. We have too many. 🤣🤣🤣 Love ya, Matt. I’m gonna get one, just to get them off the shelf.

Do we have any info on that door-trunk latch lock? I dont even know how is called that thing.
After a quick look on the og site I didn't see anything similar. Thanks
It's a Kamikaze door gate stopper.
When's the cord sale and when are the Dialed in shirts in XL going to become available again?
Later this week.
You said not to get bent out of shape last vid. Do you still need an engine, I’ve got a Usdm b18c5 with transmission
Matty! What's up with the power cord sale, bro?!
It's up now.
Obsessed Garage - Thanks, guys!!!!!! Will stop yelling now. “No more yelling on the bus!” LOL! “Ruin your precious field trip...”
When are the results for the M5 giveaway?
May 16th
Hey when’s that power cords sale..
