Nice drone video. I took a drive to Ponderosa, 7200 feet, June 3rd, 2023. There were some patches of snow and a lot of damage to the roads from the massive amount of snow this year.
Hello! Just wanted to say I appreciate you showing these areas. I went out last weekend and went "kind of" your route up to Landers Campground. I would have never known about that place had I not watched your video. To be honest it was also my first time going into the Jawbone Canyon area. I've lived 23 miles from this place for the last 25 years and NEVER took that route for anything.
That’s awesome! I’m glad you experienced a new area. Landers is beautiful. Were there any other campers there? I’ve also driven by Jawbone for over 2 decades and never thought much of it. It’s a whole new world back there.
@@havekidswillexplore there were a couple other vehicles back where I think you were. I ended up closer to the “toilets” and sign. Did you see the water trough near there? I hear you about a new world back there. I still can’t believe I’ve never explored that area.
We were also in the front section near the signs and vault toilets. I didn’t notice the water trough.

I mentioned this in a comment on another video but I went ahead and picked up one of those Ignik Fire Can things - thanks for sharing that. If you don’t mind me asking where are you all out of? Seems like you have a great team of folks for your adventures! You are definitely giving me some idea of where to head out too! And ideas of more stuff to procure! That tailgate bag is pretty nice!
You’ll enjoy the FireCan. I’m hoping to try mine with some lava rocks soon. I believe they’ll hold heat better than ceramic logs. We’re based out of Los Angeles. How about you?
@@havekidswillexplore - I was able to test it out last night BUT the winds were so bad that unless it was full blast the flame would blow out. I ordered the lava rocks with it and they seemed to work pretty good. I’m out in the Antelope Valley on the other side of Edwards AFB.

I did that one about 3 weeks. Snow was coming down good. I think we turned around where the jeep was getting stuck.... We hit a low 16 degrees 😶and my Diesel heater didn't work
Ouch, that sounded like a rough night without the heater. I suppose we could’ve hiked the last mile, but we were thinking of food by then. Haha
Was that second camp scene still at landers campground ?
Yup, all the camp scenes are of Landers.
