Because Disney is 100% incompetent. It’s sad but it’s true. Some of us have come to accept that fact and others are still clinging to the hope Disney will get their act together and fire Kathleen Kennedy. But they won’t. The shows are a good start. They’re better than that crappy sequel movies but barely. Honestly revenge of the sith is 1000 times better than all the sequel movies combined. The only good movie they’ve done since Disney is rogue one and they censored the best scene and cut half of it out…Disney is creatively bankrupt both in Star Wars and marvel content. It’s sad.
Because it wouldn't be something new, original and inventive that gives the movie its own identity (but neither was TFA) that has the purpose to appeal to whole new generation of fans. While TFA was just a remake of ANH (visually great, conceptually meh), TLA has its own identity. Its not very good but its still a relatively original story concept. The other one is a giant mess though. None of the previous trilogies were adaptations of anything before either. But disney did fail when trying to make something very original and obviously not having an actual outline or structure.

he's hamstrung. Thrawn is a villain and by definition has to be defeated. What they need to do is put him up against other bad guys so they can take the gloves off narratively. It would be perfect if they followed up Ahsoka with a Thrawn series, which showed him consolidating power by uniting the fractured imperial warlords, and being an absolute genius about it. Then he could wipe the floor with the former imperials and nobody would feel bad about it.
If they were to recast Luke, Leia and Han for Heir to the Empire with younger versions of the characters, my top picks would be Timothee Chalamet for Luke, Florence Pugh as Leia and Austin Butler as Han. They all did an amazing job with Dune Part Two and I’d be interested to see them working with Dave Filoni

There are some (a short amount of flashbacks) that shows Ahsoka sometimes helped train Shmi Solo (Han and Leia's daughter)with Luke. And Cal kestis and Ezra are also mentioned By Luke in my version.
Hearing this makes me sad - cause it really does sound like Filoni's not planning on remaking the sequels (not even parts of them). Cause honestly, if he's not planning on retconning the sequels to a significant dgree to make them in line with Lucas' sequel story treatments, then I'm no longer interested in Filoni's sequel stories.
