...i think i have a man crush on Bryce its the dad bod vibe. Chelz, you cant be scared of roos on a lap of Oz trip...that pool dive was a six and that's being generous
Just a tip for you guys. Get rid of the three way fridge and install a 240volt compressor fridge. Cost around 30% of a 12/240 volt fridge. Run it off the inverter full time. I have a 225 litre fridge and it uses on average 4.5 amps per hour including inverter draw. Over night uses 57amps all up. Install another lithium and new fridge about half cost of 12/240 fridge. Ps uses 57 amps at 12 volts over night. Cheers
I went to Jaycar and bought a computer fan and installed it behind the upper vent with a switch inside to exhaust the heat. Plus we bought a little shade awning that shades the fridge if the sun hits it. Made a huge difference.
Great video as always. I don't envy you in that heat, but the weather (apart from the storms) looks great all the same. Stay cool, stay safe and avoid the cyclone coming.🥵
Another great video guys. I had a Scrub Python from up there years ago. He was captive bred from a wild caught female (prior to protection) and live for just over 30 years. For such a big snake, almost 6 metres, he was very docile. I used him for educational displays and kids just loved him.
Mate We just completed a 4 week trip through western Queensland to Karumba and then on to the east coast around the Daintree to Townsville all the time we had issues with the 3 way fridge. Average temperature 36 degrees. We have bit the bullet and changed the 3 way out for a 12 volt compressor fridge I had to add another lithium battery so we can spend more time off grid Cost us around $1500 all up doing the installation myself new fridge is 165 litres the old one was 168 litres Testing it now and all seems good so we will now head off on a lap with peace of mind knowing that the fridge will hold temperature. Happy travels we always look forward to your videos keep up the good work
Thats awesome to hear, always nice to hear good reviews on things, we would love to but not right now, maybe if we upgraded our van we would go that route for sure, I love the idea of a compressor fridge 👍🏽 nice work doing it yourself 👌🏽
Install 2x computer fans high up on the rear of your fridge so that hot air can be sucked out by the fans. Obviously the fans need to be behind an external vent. That solves the problem.
Keep up the good work, our fridge is a Tropical rated 3 way, it has a T prefix on the label inside the fridge, we fitted 2 computer fans bottom sucking fresh air in, top blowing hot air in, definitely helps on super hot humid days, I only have 2 120 AGM so normally run on gas when free camping, 240 when at CVP, I use 12 volt only when travelling using the car alternator via very heavy cables via Anderson plugs plus I bumped up the factory Jayco wring to the back of the fridge, in addition I use a Engel wireless thermometer to see how the fridge is going, plus i always keep the fridge full to the brim with long life milk as a cold mass, take excess milk out when need space for food Regards Tony
