- Life update: We moved! We said goodbye to beautiful Darwin and headed to the very remote Nhulunbuy in East Arnhem Land. This was a very last minute and unexpected life change, however we do love to live a spontaneous life!
We made the move in early September this year. We drove ourselves, our trusty colorado, our boat, a boat load of belongings and two house plants 1042 kilometres over two days. We took on Central Arnhem Road - an adventure in itself.
We are super excited to be living in this special region and cannot wait to share our adventures with you. We've already experienced some pretty special times, that we'll definitely look back in 50 years with a smile.
Thanks for tuning in and supporting us! ✌

Welcome to paradise! And yes, that dust gets into everything!
hello from Mazarron Spain, brings back happy memories for me, I worked on the original construction site ( D;J;M ) For Nabalco, 1970, it was a little bit different back then, but what an experience, best of luck with your venture,
Hello from Canada. What an adventrue. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for watching and leaving a comment! 😊 glad you enjoyed
Welcome to town. Great place to live with Amazing People and Culture.
Thanks for the welcome!
We just finished 7 months in Gove, you are gona love it! Make sure you get out to the Brumbys before the dry season wind kicks in. 👍🍻😀
Definitely hope to get out there! We’re loving it and can’t wait to explore more this dry season 😍
Nice vid. Things have definitely changed since I was there between 83-87. Back then the drive in/out was 3-4 days and only by high clearance 4WD for 3 months of the year. Your only other options were fly or the barge to Darwin (freight only).
Back then the TV content was 3 days behind too - tapes sent from Darwin.
It was a freaking awesome place then, hope it still is. Expensive though.
Wow! Times have definitely changed for sure! What an experience to be able to look back on. 😊 Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Muchly appreciated!
Awesome Vid Guys and lovely place out there, I towed my 5m up from Noosa QLD to Nhulunbuy in April this year the road was Ok but last 200ks was wet as they had 360mm of rain two days before i got there. I stayed with my mate Nathan hes lived there for years, so it was a great couple weeks he took and showed some cracking spots and we caught some lovely fish.
Thanks so much Craig! It’s a pretty special place. And the locals here make it even better. It’s definitely somewhere we’d return to many times over if we only visited once for a holiday! Appreciate your support 😊
We lived in Darwin for over 12 years and never made it out there.... putting it on the list!
This is what we like to hear! Definitely a must 😊 be sure to book your camping etc months in advance as it does book out quite early! We also would recommend visiting late August / September to avoid the peak period. Thanks for your support!
Great video guys, massive drive. Stay safe out there. Probably much safer than Darwin nowadays anyways
Thanks for your comment! Certainly is a massive drive, but a good adventure 😊
