Not only is she a violinist, but in this piece as the lead violinist she acts as the conductor. She is so talented. If ever I had the opportunity to behold her with my eyes in person, I would shed a tear, but not as many tears as I have already shed listening to the pieces she has played. Edit for typos
I love watching Alana play. She will sometimes look at other musicians and smile at certain parts of the piece. She does this when she plays for Voices of Music, Vivaldi's Four Seasons, as well. 🥰
Alana is a revelation to me. She is a joy to watch as well as to listen to her. Her technique is impeccable and the enjoyment she derives is uplifting. More than almost anyone else she reminds me of Jascha Heifetz' technique and tone oh so many decades ago when I was a boy.
Alana is so beautiful in everything she does. Especially playing! I love how the violin is an extension of her body. She feels the music playing through her. Love it!!!

That led my to a very fascinating wikipedia rabbit hole, thank you. I wouldn't bet against her being the reincarnation! Gave me shivers when you suggested that.

Poichè quegli 'ospedali' accoglievano giovinette orfane, bastarde o povere, queste venivano conosciute all'ESTERNO non con un cognome (che solitamente non avevano) ma con il nome proprio seguito da quello dell'ospedale in cui vivevano: quindi 'Anna Maria della Pietà', oppure la 'Zabetta degli Incurabili' o la 'Margherita dei Mendicanti'. I enjoyed the wonderful concerto of Vivaldi almost daily since Covid times through Baroque music live streams. In my opinion, the first movement is the most rhythmic music I had listened to in the several forms of western classical music which I happened to listen to from 1979 onwards .The tempo of the music is such that I used to dream of going up in a swing in tandem with the tempo of the magnificent music. The rhythmic music of Vivaldi the Great and the unprecedented tempo! Your rendition was excellent- in tandem with the expectations of the maestro( I presume). Gracias.

What I admire about Alana , along with her virtuosity , is the emanation of someone who is joyfully enjoying her playing & is completely immersed in the music she proffers. Qualities which are easily discerned in this performance.And I love the beautiful expressions on her face as she plays! 😊👍
It's a personal preference but there's a lot to appreciate in the way Heifetz presented himself on stage - no smiles, no histrionics,... just the playing of all the notes in tune and at the right time.
