ya'know it feels like just yesterday I rushed back home from school only to play for hours and hours of Radiata Stories on my Playstation 2.. now I'm 27, WTF..
i seriously want them to remastered this. i will pay big money honestly. is hard to find games that is fun like this and has interesting story and funny dialogues. is a rare gem this game honestly. no games so far that make me have a similar fun exploring experience like radiata stories. There's this new game coming out which is called Tales of Arise. I hope it's good. So now i'm just waiting for Tales of Arise to come out. it follow the same jrpg gameplay where if you bumped your character against an enemy, it will triggered a fight battle. so it has a similar setting like radiata story, but not sure if when you roaming in the city, you can kick and interact with objects and have funny conversation like what Jack do in radiata. but i'm looking forward to Tales of Arise and hope it be a good game.
The story makes SO much more sense with these additions. It always did feel like some stuff was cut, especially on the human side. Like, it was always implied that there was a cure for Algandars since in the ending cutscene you see the human characters wo caught it during the story walking around the town, but it was never explained. Everything flows much more naturally. I hope, someday, someone can mod the game and restore all the cut content.
So true. It was also implied Jack actually met and possible fought Zane before the battle at the lupus gate, but he never did. Also when metting Gawain it had been implied they talked way more than they did. P ossible there was a actual fight at Fort Helencia and not only Jack meeting Ridley and Gawin there.
10:01 now this adds context to the fact that you can actually see Flau sneaking through the sewer systems and get into Radiata Castle in the base game. It all makes sense now why the sewers seemed connected.
Awesome vid. It's been more than 15 years ever since I played this game, but it comes to my mind every now and then, I thought I was the only one who still had some memories of this game in 2022 lol. It stayed on my mind because while they gave my 22-year old self a strong impression, but I also remember finding the endings lackluster. They always gave me the impression that they're the "bad" and "mediocre" endings, and that there should have been a third path that would provide the best ending. The tone of these alternate cutscenes alone could really make them part of a definitive third path, especially with that fight with both the gold and silver dragons (gin to kin lmao)
So I did a full LP of this game and could only have dreamed to know all of this, even better, have it in game, when I did so. This is just so much great stuff to an already great game. I wonder why it was cut, as it all seems so viable. It's a more mature addition, so that could be it, but also wonder if it was due to time/budget. Either way, thank you SO MUCH for sharing this with us! It's just such a wonderful game that I am beyond chuffed to see more of it! Thank you so much!

Wow this is amazing. One of my favorite games as a kid and I was surprised as I grew up and realized how hardly anybody played the game around me and I even replayed the game as an adult and loved it just as much. Glad to see people enjoying the game and hopefully bring back another addition.

Its 2022 and I just found this from trying to remember how the prophecy went. I remember Hastins (book/movie rental store) had a huge poster outside the store promoting this game. Rented it like crazy till I was able to buy my own copy. I'm gonna have to dig this out and do a replay.
This was the issue that I had with the epic of Jack manga Where you had characters who actually knew a lot more than what the game allowed you to know and it totally blowed my mind when I found out that there was so much more cut out of the story thank you for this video
oh wow- i was just looking for radiata youtube videos cause ive been replaying it im doing the human side first and recruiting everyone in two playthroughs- and i stumble on this treasure trove of info- this is soo cool
I just finished the game first with the human path and then the nonhuman path. I noticed a lot of inconsistency in the game for example characters like Lucian who was actually pushing the coexting with fairy creatures before the Splite, you can see him support Reddly's father, and after the Splite he changed. I also noticed that there were characters that gave the vibe of important characters and we will see them more, take for example Genius. Genius searching for a way to coexist with fairy creatures, thus, consider him important in a true correct ending, if there is a third ending. From what I conclude from the video, tons of content didn't come in the final project. when finished the game, I felt a lot of things messing up. After what I said above, I still love the game and I believe that Radiata Stories is a very good game and the cut content I believe would make the game a great game. I hope they will remaster/ remake the game(with the same art style) and bring what is removed back to the game. If the game will release in PS5, I would buy PS5 not for FF16 or God of War but for Radiata Stories. I am not interested in ports though. Thanks to Reddit user u/jamesgerrick and You for Video

Man this has so much potential for a remake... And while they're at it.. can they please make it so non guild leader types like Miranda are able to progress more and become better fighters and wear better clothing. Of course I'd appreciate if there was a decent amount of work and grind to get an NPCs to guild leader status. Just imagine if they implemented move scrolls that taught these NPCs moves of other characters... you can truly make a master monk or an Arcane warrior that isn't stuck using useless moves. Ooh the replayability would be insane
These extra scenes bring more detail to the story. Like there needs to be a remake of this game with these extra scenes. I still have my copy of Radiata Stories on the PS2 today.
In the manga, the disease can be prevented by owning the weapon Arbitrator, the weapon which the past elf king gave to his wife (the elf king that marries a human woman and eventually brings the disease to the elfs).
My personal picks for top 3 under rated/appreciated PS2 JRPGS that need to be remade: Radiata Stories, Suikoden III, Star Ocean III: Till The Ends Of Time. In that exact order. Honorable Mentions: Valkyrie Profile 2, Xenosaga 1&2.

one mis-opportunity for this game is they should have dive into elwen more, I feel like she has a very interesting back story with her. She seems to know a lot of the non human stuff, and why is she always hiding her face, and does her name ELF wen indicate she might be half human half elf or related to the algandar castle?
You can see her face when viewing her profile in the friend's list and her bio also states that her name used to be El, but that she became Elwen after her master's (Alfred) death. I was always under the impression that she was from one of the world's previous cycles and that it might have something to do with why the dragons are personally acquainted with her. It seems like both Alfred and El/Elwen played major roles in the world's history, but sadly the game never delves into it at all.
@@BlazingAbyss for some reason I always thought that she is related to that human woman mentioned as being the Algandars castle king's wife which was the first incident of the disease on record, probably a descendant or she could even be that woman herself. Her old name "El" as mentioned on her in-game profile might even imply partial elven heritage. It's also interesting how the only time you go there is to fight a being from another dimension. I believe the devs might have wanted that aspect to also have some connection to the cosmic imbalance the dragons keep complaining about, but didn't really go anywhere with it in the final release.
aside from the algandars medicine and the quasar combat, the other scene can be inserted somehow without ruining the whole story, too bad they decide to cut so much

The biggest reason I see why tri ace hasn't done anything with most of there games is because they can't afford to do anything with them, at this point they can only make mobile games or short small games that heavily relay on there brand of jrpg. Don't take my word for it look at the last few games they have released.

I think Parsec transforming on the bridge near the city is a much better reveal than what we got in the base game.

I rarely comment on videos, but my god, what a flood of nostagia. This and Dark Cloud 2 were my absolute top games of all time growing up. Wow.

Bro Jack and Ridley wikl fit perfectly in Genshin impact... I really want to still be able to have them in today's game
