I got a nice healer for you, a Medic's Fat Man... anyway, power armor has a different list of possible legendary items than regular armor does, Acrobat is not one of them, but it has other effects exclusive to power armor like regenerate action points faster while taking rad damage (you can get a T-51 chestpiece with this effect by doing the Cambridge Polymer Labs quest), or simply quadrupled armor health.
The duelist's effect is also a really cool build. It says "10% chance to disarm melee attacker on hit" but it actually works for ranged enemies too. I have it equipped to my underarmor, gloves, chest, arms, and helmet; giving me a 60% chance to disarm the enemy when they hit me. So every time I go into battle, everyone drops their weapon almost immediately
One playthrough I realized I had an insane amount of legendary stuff so I started playing with full to near full armor sets of various effects. I found the powered armor the funnest. I could run into or out of any battle with ease. And taught my kids to play like that since they were little and vats was basically mandatory for them. We all had tons of fun with it.
That moment when you have a full set (5 pieces) of sentinel's effect equipped, have the blitz (and rooted) perk(s) maxed, have a slow melee weapon with the instigating effect AND when you use yao guai roast and fury...

I really liked mixing the Sprinters and Power effects to make a super fast AP refresh, high endurance and speed character. Lots of fun mixing and matching!
While not a big fan of farming I did decide to try this build to see how it would work. I found using radiation to keep my health low was a better option than trying to keep the character damaged to stay under 25%. This had the advantage of allowing the use of stims without loosing the unyielding effect. A modified version of this build to better do this may be much more effective.
I never use chameleon, even though I play stealth builds mostly. I like using iron sights/scopes and the chameleon effect also makes the sights invisible.
Chameleon and not Sprinters? Also question Unyielding, but only because I play on Survival and not as a stealth sniper or blitz melee. Chameleon, though, is just buggy annoyance with constant sound trigger, unreadable pip-boy, and makes 1st person sights unusable. Oh, and it does nothing to mitigate movement sound detection.
Usually pip boy is unreadable on first seconds when chameleon activates+ the lights in the area affects that too. When you upgrade your stealth perk, you really dont need sound mitigation from armor pieces. The sound i agree, after couple hundred hours played, gets annoying :D
Sprinters is super helpful for most situations. Got cornered by a radscorpion? Deathclaw on your ass? Need to cross that gap between buildings to avoid having to do a bunch of work climbing up through the door? Feel like role playing as Sonic? My favorite thing to do with it is play a high agility melee build. Dash in, strike, dash out. The best part is, you get to either listen to the Sonic “Gotta Go Fast” theme while doing it, or constantly think “I’m fast as fuck, boi” whenever you do something cool.
The Unyielding effect has never worked well for me. You say it doesn't boost your endurance, but it always has in my game. However, doing so immediately increased the amount of hp I had left taking me above the 25% threshold, which cancels the effect and causes me to drop back down, then refreshes it again and so forth, caught in and endless cycle.

keep your radiation levels very high so as the endurance boost wont matter. if you use a gunner farm with multiple unyielding arnour pieces and idiot savant rank 3. you will get massive xp gains.
With the Chameleon Legendary effect, you also never become visible during a melee attack in VATS. This, like you mentioned, can work very well with Blitz. I'm currently trying to find Legendary enemies in hopes of getting another piece of Chameleon armor.
You CAN place Sentinel on a Helmet. Not ALL types (Military Yes, Synth No, Raider Yes, Vault No.... cannot remember exactly for rest, haven’t played for a couple of months 🤫), but it can be done. 🤗
Arie Charles my first play through I didn’t know a thing. Sold every legendary weapon and armor piece I got that I didn’t have equipped except for uniques.
I actually use the unyielding legendary effect on my vats build because it gives you the max perception and agility boost possible for armor pieces and it also boosts luck so combined with a number of other things it far out does the vats enhanced affect in terms of not only shots, but you also get balls flapping high amounts of vats accuracy and it allows you to get the highest possible perception in the game
The trick to getting the highest possible perception in the game is first have 10 perception the use the your special book, the perception bobble head, and the vans perk to boost it to 14 then you want to get the perk that boosts you perception at night then use the appropriate consumables and equip this armor and you have over 40 perception on you hands combine that with the right perks and you can pretty much hit anything that isn't behind a solid wall with 100% accuracy in the head as long as you can activate vats on it
4 lucky pieces + Battered Fedora (which can be armored with ballistic weave) + Party Girl (+3 luck when drunk) + luck bobblehead + You're SPECIAL to Luck = 24 Luck which is 2 shots to fill the critical meter.
I love the Sprinter's effect when you equip all armors. You ZOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!! I would love to add some 76 effects to 4 like regenerating, vanguard's and maybe weightless. Stacking regenerating on a survival build is just cheating!!
It has taken me all these years to realise that two pieces of Acrobat's effect makes you completely eliminates fall damage. I thought it would just halve it each time so you'd still have a little bit left.
So i was playing around with the legendaries and i came across a glitch that i have no idea how to trigger, basically the legendary effect where “melee attackers have a 10% chance of dropping their weapon when attacking you” glitched and that 10% became eligible for all attackers ranged and melee i got the five piece set and now i have 50% change any attacker drops there weapons when attacking me then i pick up their weapon and watch them punch me aimlessly (it’s also funny seeing someone drop their gun from that affect) to me the role play rationalization would be they can’t handle a gun and recoil gets the better of them
The Sentinel Legendary should give you a few unique dialogue options. Like, say after ten seconds, or so, of taking next to no damage from enemy fire you could choose to yell out “Oh man, that hurts, please stop” or “once you’re done shooting I’m going to shove the barrel of your own gun down your throat” to cause enemies that are shooting at you to flee in terror.
That would be kind of weird for that to be the ing armor to do that. Also you would have to enter dialogue “mode” to do that, which in compost would be weird… you’d have to be FORCED into it, which would take away a lot of your buttons on console.
As someone who exclusively plays this game with mods such as the modern firearms rework ( just dont like the fact that it's set in an alternate future yet the ballistic weapons have regressed) this is pretty useful now that I'm playing the game vanilla to get the achievements/ trophies
Unyielding has 1 use, Nerd Rage. It buffs everything at low health effectively turning you super human. Otherwise it another low health based gimmick which you wouldn't want to use because it requires you to have low health.
Nah, as long as your character doesn't get shot at you can get 900 rads, the inquisitor of Atom perk for double damage and unyielding pieces to melt enemies. My stealth critical character does exactly this and I don't even have Nerd Rage because I use Idiot Savant
screw the powered effect for traveling use the sprinters effect and never have to sprint because you run as fast as you sprint this effect is also great for characters that want to abuse the strong back perk since you can move at sprint speed without sprinting
Can confirm legendary helmets are incredibly rare to drop. I think the highest drop chances tend to be VATS effects, Lucky and Sharp. I have several hundred hours in Fallout 4 and I've only found a few legendary helmets from drops.

Def not a mouse Stop asking - if you're going to burn them down for that then there are a lot of other game studios you might want to get through first.
(1-4) Stat boosting. Fortifying for melee and unarmed builds, Cunning for sniping builds, Lucky for pistol builds, and Sharp for heavy guns and commando builds. All of these are common drops, most have more than one fixed piece to buy, and if you've played the game you will find they are the one's you are probably using most often in your builds. (5) Sent. Particularly useful for sniping and melee blitz builds that don't move. (6) Unyielding (and the other low HP armors you will fill in with while building up your unyielding set). Requires a particular build, but it is a fun build. (7) Sprinters. You can even get this on a hat in Far Harbor as well as some fixed pieces to buy. Several of these make your character SUPER fast. This makes survival mode much less tedious.
my personal favorite is movement speed increase - gets rediculous when you stack it (run down the road as fast as a vertibird, making motorcycle noises as you go) Also keep a set of "sharp" armor for settlement management (and quest turn ins if you care about XP)
yeah I'm surprised he chose the fall damage one more useful than the run speed one, I guess that's because I play on survival with no fast travel so that one saves me a lot of time

Some of us like to download mods that make the game harder, on top of playing it on Insane difficulty, and using the super damaging "Modern Firearms" mod, so the damage reduction armor mods are actually not OP for me. Thanks for the suggestion! Back to the grind it is...
so you install a mod that makes you take more damage so you can farm that armor that makes you take less damage just to end up taking a normal amount of damage?
Once you get to 30 luck you can crit with 2 shots, and at 63 luck and beyond you can get a crit every single shot. Personally, at high levels I love just belting of critical hits every single shot in vats because you can do that.
This is what I love about Fallout 4! I would like to add though, that using the PER+AGI legendary can make you quite powerful, even early on, by going full VATS, with no luck investment. The idea is you will have maximum chance to hit from large distances and lots of AP to support that. Also add 1 or 2 AP refresh rate legendary and you will use VATS 95% of the time. Use a good Gauss Rifle with it, and enjoy the show!
I know this is an old video, but something everyone (and myself for awhile..) overlooks is the benefit of using more than one armor set! Utilize the mannequins to have many different armor sets you can use for different things! For example: if you’re about to tackle the automatron DLC? Ditch your regular armor and equip a set of armor that decreases damage from robots! Or if you’re about to do a radiant quest to clear out super mutants from a location? Equip the proper armor! So all those legendary pieces you keep shoving into your player home can actually serve a purpose! Gear up properly for each quest! It’s actually a lot of fun, especially late game when you have the perks for basically any weapon type. You can mix it up based on what you’re going to do! Going to your “headquarters” and gearing up for each individual mission is extremely immersive and so much fun! Gear up your companion too for each fight. I promise you’ll enjoy it. And it also makes the playthrough last a lot longer because you need to put more thought into each quest. Instead of just speedrunning through it because you’ve done it so many times.
And doing this also makes you get excited again everytime you find a decent legendary item, but are usually like “well I’ve already got everything I need, so idc anymore”. And even if the legendary effects you need are only on weak armor? Use it anyway! Give yourself a challenge! It’s thematic for the situation! You don’t need the best items 24/7, the game isn’t that hard! Each mission will feel different 😊
I made a build thst kind of looks like that clock work Nazi guy from Hell Boy. To bad I can't dual wield knives. Courser outfit, brotherhood officers hat and a gas mask. Weapon pickmans knife.
Sentinels armor is my go to every playthrough.. on my latest I got 4 out of 5 pieces and a chameleon piece in my first 20 hrs.. my luck is also really high.. having all dlc on PlayStation 4.. as I use the contraptions glitch to double max my stats at the start
I used to use it extensively back in the day, but since I have been playing more games that use a mobile style combat. So going back to F4, I just can't play the Robocop style ranged combat method anymore standing still exposed while gunning down enemies.
I'd never use the sentinel's effect for the simple reason that it encourages you to play like trash. If you just want to revel in tanky Godliness (which I usually do), the "fortifying" effect presents a much more versatile option.
I’d love to see a fudgemuppet melee cavalier build, aggressive slasher invincible whilst sprinting to and from opponents, only to become vulnerable whilst slashing stuff to pieces with like a butcher hook ect, really hope they see this 🙌🏻
i wonder if 100 percent damage reduction kind of works how radiation does when you have hella radiation resistance. like maybe for everything that hits you you only take 1 damage or something
I have 4 acrobat leg pieces sadly they are all right legs so i cant use them yet but on the bright side i have almost all armor material variants so at least theyll match when i get the left leg
My favourite was always Martyr's as it allows you to either heal or just deal more damage for a short time I found it early on in my first play though and kept it the whole time
recently I used the craftable legendary mod and put the Sprinter effect on all 6 pieces of power armor, with overdrive servos on both legs. My armor is even more of a truck than before. I highly recommend it
I ran into the permanent invisibility glitch. Fun for a while, but I couldn't find anything on my Pipboy and aiming without VATS was almost impossible in anything but full light.
I agree with the Sentinel effect but does it stack with lone Wanderer what I'm asking is if you get lone wonder will you be Invincible while standing still or will you get 30% reduced from the damage that you still take
Now I'm gonna try the sentinel/ballistic weave combo with the perk that has a change of killing enemies that shoot you. I forgotten the name of that perk
You could do a senator arm strong build with the sentinel stuff and roleplay that you have nano machines. Make a full on invincible unarmed build and get some regeneration stuff on top of it
When some enemies can't hurt you they run away in terror but as soon as you move hence taking off the sentinel effect they come back but just stop moving and they flee again.
pretty sure sentinel is very picky in how it applies you can't move around at all not evening moving around your character to get a better shot like a spin in place it has to be directly in front of you to apply

I used to use some chameleon pieces, and they were the most annoying thing ever because I use iron sights and it completely fucks any chance to be accurate with them. Also, it doesn't stack like a lot of them on here, but if you have an auto stim piece and a Martyrs piece, that kicks ass for people who don't watch their health enough
Question. If I have a sentinel chest piece and right arm will I ONLY get the damage reduction IF the shot hits me in the right arm or chest? Ah someone is finally doing this...polymer combat armour with the synth field helmet. I'm waiting to get armourer lvl 4 to get polymer heavy combat armour (I have the armour, just can't upgrade yet)...that will look sick
I tried to get a full set of Sentinels armor and even with buying the one Overseer's piece and farming legendary spawns I still couldn't get a full set after three months if farming. The right leg piece eluded me to the point where I gave up
Actually VinylicPumaGaming did actually cover the Sentinel's effect on all 7 pieces of armour and weapons. It has a very interesting effect (and yes you are effectively immortal).
Awesome to know that 7 pieces would lead to full invincibility, but do you know if the sentinel's helmet was just console commanded? Because what I've heard from a few people is that you can't actually find one on a helmet legitimately. I would think it is very cool if you can though!
VPG doesn't actually play F4. He's been called on it time and again. You cannot legitimately get a Sentinel's helmet, because legendary headgear doesn't drop. The only legendary headgear, clothing, and power armor are fixed pieces.
Hey you know what wouldn't number three go really well with a radiation build and either crusader/inquisitor of atom? and you could throw in both Cait and Hancock companion perks along with Deacon and MacCready's for a sniper build? or if you really got the balls you could do the blitz melee style and throw in Strong's companion perk as well since you're going to be at less than 25% health anyways. oh and just a thought you could also throw in either protector/destroyer of acadia perks for when you get hit. hell i know what we could even call it. "The Dance at Death's Border" Build

Never used it because it seemed trash from the description(how often do melee enemies even hit you) but I didn’t know it worked on ranged weapons.

Stacking strength and endurance pieces does three things; more carry weight, more health, and more melee weapon damage. It’s great!

Using console command player.setav rads 800 means that radaway won't bring you above 20% if you're in irradiated areas

That’s exactly why it /shouldn’t/ boost endurance, and according to the wiki, it shouldn’t. Must be a bug?

Some legendary effects also work with companions. Like giving them chameleon armor. They'll go invisible when sneaking.

Like, say after ten seconds, or so, of taking next to no damage from enemy fire you could choose to yell out “Oh man, that hurts, please stop” or “once you’re done shooting I’m going to shove the barrel of your own gun down your throat” to cause enemies that are shooting at you to flee in terror.
That would be kind of weird for that to be the ing armor to do that. Also you would have to enter dialogue “mode” to do that, which in compost would be weird… you’d have to be FORCED into it, which would take away a lot of your buttons on console.
I like using Poisoner's so that I can cover as many resistances as I can.
As someone who exclusively plays this game with mods such as the modern firearms rework ( just dont like the fact that it's set in an alternate future yet the ballistic weapons have regressed) this is pretty useful now that I'm playing the game vanilla to get the achievements/ trophies

there is a tiny mod which allows to get achievments while still playing with mods
Unyielding has 1 use, Nerd Rage. It buffs everything at low health effectively turning you super human. Otherwise it another low health based gimmick which you wouldn't want to use because it requires you to have low health.
Nah, as long as your character doesn't get shot at you can get 900 rads, the inquisitor of Atom perk for double damage and unyielding pieces to melt enemies. My stealth critical character does exactly this and I don't even have Nerd Rage because I use Idiot Savant
screw the powered effect for traveling use the sprinters effect and never have to sprint because you run as fast as you sprint this effect is also great for characters that want to abuse the strong back perk since you can move at sprint speed without sprinting
For any AP effect/critical meter, I always answer with: "or use Kellog's pistol instead."
Martyrs is also very useful; it’s slows down time when health is below 20 percent for a good while. That has saved me on many occasions
Can confirm legendary helmets are incredibly rare to drop. I think the highest drop chances tend to be VATS effects, Lucky and Sharp. I have several hundred hours in Fallout 4 and I've only found a few legendary helmets from drops.
I just found a Destroyer's Combat Helmet.+1 int and charisma is decent. I can wear Eyewear and mouthpieces with it too, so a bandana and glasses
I roll with five sprinter pieces and a powered chest piece so I can run at full sprint speeds for a walking speed. It's so damn convenient

LOVE the personal jetpack mod w/o power armor. Feel like spider man jumping from building to building
jetpack ring mod is great
(1-4) Stat boosting. Fortifying for melee and unarmed builds, Cunning for sniping builds, Lucky for pistol builds, and Sharp for heavy guns and commando builds. All of these are common drops, most have more than one fixed piece to buy, and if you've played the game you will find they are the one's you are probably using most often in your builds.
(5) Sent. Particularly useful for sniping and melee blitz builds that don't move.
(6) Unyielding (and the other low HP armors you will fill in with while building up your unyielding set). Requires a particular build, but it is a fun build.
(7) Sprinters. You can even get this on a hat in Far Harbor as well as some fixed pieces to buy. Several of these make your character SUPER fast. This makes survival mode much less tedious.
my personal favorite is movement speed increase - gets rediculous when you stack it (run down the road as fast as a vertibird, making motorcycle noises as you go)
Also keep a set of "sharp" armor for settlement management (and quest turn ins if you care about XP)

yeah I'm surprised he chose the fall damage one more useful than the run speed one, I guess that's because I play on survival with no fast travel so that one saves me a lot of time

Charisma is a nice bonus, but I usually just want it for the XP boost. Also, hacking terminals becomes almost automatic when your intelligence is 11+.

Some of us like to download mods that make the game harder, on top of playing it on Insane difficulty, and using the super damaging "Modern Firearms" mod, so the damage reduction armor mods are actually not OP for me. Thanks for the suggestion! Back to the grind it is...
so you install a mod that makes you take more damage so you can farm that armor that makes you take less damage just to end up taking a normal amount of damage?

My personal favorite legendary armor effect is the one that slows time when at 20% health I forget it's proper name though.
Martyr's. I like it because sometimes I don't pay enough attention to my health in battle and it avoids surprises, like death.
It's good at lower levels when everything kills or cripples you fast. Unfortunately it doesn't stack.

Once you get to 30 luck you can crit with 2 shots, and at 63 luck and beyond you can get a crit every single shot. Personally, at high levels I love just belting of critical hits every single shot in vats because you can do that.

This is what I love about Fallout 4! I would like to add though, that using the PER+AGI legendary can make you quite powerful, even early on, by going full VATS, with no luck investment. The idea is you will have maximum chance to hit from large distances and lots of AP to support that. Also add 1 or 2 AP refresh rate legendary and you will use VATS 95% of the time. Use a good Gauss Rifle with it, and enjoy the show!
PER+AGI is my fave legendary effect, because I'm boring and like beeg numbers ^__^

I know this is an old video, but something everyone (and myself for awhile..) overlooks is the benefit of using more than one armor set! Utilize the mannequins to have many different armor sets you can use for different things! For example: if you’re about to tackle the automatron DLC? Ditch your regular armor and equip a set of armor that decreases damage from robots! Or if you’re about to do a radiant quest to clear out super mutants from a location? Equip the proper armor! So all those legendary pieces you keep shoving into your player home can actually serve a purpose! Gear up properly for each quest! It’s actually a lot of fun, especially late game when you have the perks for basically any weapon type. You can mix it up based on what you’re going to do! Going to your “headquarters” and gearing up for each individual mission is extremely immersive and so much fun! Gear up your companion too for each fight. I promise you’ll enjoy it. And it also makes the playthrough last a lot longer because you need to put more thought into each quest. Instead of just speedrunning through it because you’ve done it so many times.
And doing this also makes you get excited again everytime you find a decent legendary item, but are usually like “well I’ve already got everything I need, so idc anymore”. And even if the legendary effects you need are only on weak armor? Use it anyway! Give yourself a challenge! It’s thematic for the situation! You don’t need the best items 24/7, the game isn’t that hard! Each mission will feel different 😊
Chameleon is good but have fun trying to aim with reflex sight
I cna manage pretty well with stealth boy so I'm fine with that. The only problem I have with chameleon is the pip boy ui, very stressful to meddle.
I prefer the stat boosting legendaries - once you get access to ballistic weave, damage mostly stops being an issue.

Sentinels armor is my go to every playthrough.. on my latest I got 4 out of 5 pieces and a chameleon piece in my first 20 hrs.. my luck is also really high.. having all dlc on PlayStation 4.. as I use the contraptions glitch to double max my stats at the start
It's really almost cheating... But with 20 base ENDURANCE.. plus 60% less incoming damage.. I never die
I used to use it extensively back in the day, but since I have been playing more games that use a mobile style combat. So going back to F4, I just can't play the Robocop style ranged combat method anymore standing still exposed while gunning down enemies.

I'd never use the sentinel's effect for the simple reason that it encourages you to play like trash. If you just want to revel in tanky Godliness (which I usually do), the "fortifying" effect presents a much more versatile option.

Legendary Helmets don't drop off of Legendary enemies, the only appear in fixed locations. Namely being bought from certain vendors.

Unyielding pieces plus the dead eye legendary effect for weapons can get you out of tough situations fast.
I’d love to see a fudgemuppet melee cavalier build, aggressive slasher invincible whilst sprinting to and from opponents, only to become vulnerable whilst slashing stuff to pieces with like a butcher hook ect, really hope they see this 🙌🏻
i wonder if 100 percent damage reduction kind of works how radiation does when you have hella radiation resistance. like maybe for everything that hits you you only take 1 damage or something
I have 4 acrobat leg pieces sadly they are all right legs so i cant use them yet but on the bright side i have almost all armor material variants so at least theyll match when i get the left leg
My favourite was always Martyr's as it allows you to either heal or just deal more damage for a short time I found it early on in my first play though and kept it the whole time
recently I used the craftable legendary mod and put the Sprinter effect on all 6 pieces of power armor, with overdrive servos on both legs. My armor is even more of a truck than before. I highly recommend it

My biggest issue with chameleon is it can glitch, and you'll stay invisible. It can also make the screen on your pip boy not show up.
I ran into the permanent invisibility glitch. Fun for a while, but I couldn't find anything on my Pipboy and aiming without VATS was almost impossible in anything but full light.
I agree with the Sentinel effect but does it stack with lone Wanderer what I'm asking is if you get lone wonder will you be Invincible while standing still or will you get 30% reduced from the damage that you still take

You could do a senator arm strong build with the sentinel stuff and roleplay that you have nano machines. Make a full on invincible unarmed build and get some regeneration stuff on top of it

When some enemies can't hurt you they run away in terror but as soon as you move hence taking off the sentinel effect they come back but just stop moving and they flee again.
pretty sure sentinel is very picky in how it applies you can't move around at all not evening moving around your character to get a better shot like a spin in place it has to be directly in front of you to apply

Also i got a question for you guys at FudgeMuppet. Would a sniper rifle with the instigating effect stack with the crusader/inquisitor perk? like would the damage be quadrupled?
I used to use some chameleon pieces, and they were the most annoying thing ever because I use iron sights and it completely fucks any chance to be accurate with them. Also, it doesn't stack like a lot of them on here, but if you have an auto stim piece and a Martyrs piece, that kicks ass for people who don't watch their health enough
Question. If I have a sentinel chest piece and right arm will I ONLY get the damage reduction IF the shot hits me in the right arm or chest? Or does that damage reduction work if I get hit in the legs or head or left arm, too?

I tried to get a full set of Sentinels armor and even with buying the one Overseer's piece and farming legendary spawns I still couldn't get a full set after three months if farming. The right leg piece eluded me to the point where I gave up

Actually VinylicPumaGaming did actually cover the Sentinel's effect on all 7 pieces of armour and weapons. It has a very interesting effect (and yes you are effectively immortal).
Awesome to know that 7 pieces would lead to full invincibility, but do you know if the sentinel's helmet was just console commanded? Because what I've heard from a few people is that you can't actually find one on a helmet legitimately. I would think it is very cool if you can though!

You cannot legitimately get a Sentinel's helmet, because legendary headgear doesn't drop.
The only legendary headgear, clothing, and power armor are fixed pieces.
Hey you know what wouldn't number three go really well with a radiation build and either crusader/inquisitor of atom? and you could throw in both Cait and Hancock companion perks along with Deacon and MacCready's for a sniper build? or if you really got the balls you could do the blitz melee style and throw in Strong's companion perk as well since you're going to be at less than 25% health anyways. oh and just a thought you could also throw in either protector/destroyer of acadia perks for when you get hit. hell i know what we could even call it.
