Absolutely! I finally tried the Gardein Ultimate Chicken Patty earlier this week and it is incredible! I like the tenders too but the patty is better.

My preference, and I have tried several over the years, is the Aldi brand. As a senior living on a fixed income I can afford to pay for these as an occasional "treat." and I like their taste as well.
I ate Qouon (sp?) today & I was impressed, but it was not spicy!!!
Alpha Food and Gardein Ultimate have been my fave so far, but I haven't tried all the ones in your video yet. Garden Ultimate was scary good. I'm just disappointed that you only get 3 and not 4 for the price. Where I live these are $7 at conventional grocery store and $9 at Whole Foods. Really wish it was 4 patties at that price, but that doesn't stop me from buying them, because they're that good. 😊 Thanks to this video, though, I'm going to try Gardein original and Light Life next for cheaper options!
Speaking of chik’n, Alpha Foods is lowering the prices of their chik’n (maybe only nuggets) because chicken prices are increasing… Just thought it was interesting and wanted to share!
The Gardein Ultimate Chicken Patty is a banger! I stopped by my local target the other day and grabbed a couple bags and made a Popeye-inspired chicken sandwich, and let me just say, my tongue hasn’t left heaven ever since! 😂
That is my favorite one by far.
The only thing I would like to see is Gardein Ultimate to have more than 3 in a package. I’m sure it’s because of how they’re pricing it. Here in Dallas/Ft Worth they go for $7.99 per bag. It’s just me and the hubs so it’s still reasonable for a meal. For a family it may be a little pricey

Yes! I hate the price of them, but they are good. If you shop at Target watch their Circle app coupons, they will sometimes have a decent coupon for the Gardein ultimate stuff.
Yes for the price, and I can only find them in on store in my area. It's very good but over priced for the amount.
Check the weight, though. Gardein gives you 14 oz. in every bag, whether it's patties, tenders, or nuggets. It's a good deal.

Gardein Ultimate has absolutely nailed it. The texture and seasoning are so much better than older Gardein, and for me, this one beats all current contenders to which I've had access, even the new Impossible nuggets.

Gardein Ultimate is the BEST! I love adding the spicy mayo from Popeye's to it. Really hits the spot.
I like them but they are too expensive. My wife and I are pretty much stuck with the Aldi brand as 4 patties go for $3.80-ish where we live. Impossible and beyond products run $8-12 for 2 patties. Mostly live on avocado's though these days, processed stuff is just too expensive.

I’m just blown away how far vegan chicken has come, when I first started eating a vegan diet… Morningstar was the only chicken patty choice and boca just had burgers.. These videos are SO HELPFUL 🥰.. thank you so much

I reluctantly purchased some ultimate chicken, I had tried yuall's suggestions on the old chicken stuff but they were horrible. So I was bracing to be jacked again. That Gardein's Ultimate chicken was off the chain. I ate it with vegan mayo, siracha, and salad on a sandwich. I was scared that my fingers would be bitten while eating that sandwich, it was the bomb! I haven't eaten chicken in 30 years. I feel like this is the answer to chicken in my future. Thank you I trust you now, you gave me two excellent products Gardein's Ultimate burger and chicken.

I am able to get boca and quorn because they have spicy patties cuz I like spice but I definitely will be checking for some of the other ones. Thanks for the honest taste test. Keep them up cuz I love them.

I’m actually a big fan of the morning star spicy chicken patty. Its not spicy, but I think the seasoning and flavor is so fire that it tastes like actual chicken!

we like the yves chicken patty. it's great chopped up on salads and pasta. we do use the gardein also. and wow you both say the word LIKE like a LOT . I've had the gardein in the purple bag and they're stellar and it makes me upset and confused that all the grocery stores carry a bunch of gardein products but not the chicken patties, when they are so top notch. Hopefully they start to carry the ultimate ones. Excited to try them

I was curious and had to look, apparently Boca has been around since 1979 with a vegetarian burger and was one of the originals. Today, it is showing, they really need to step up their game. Tbh, I haven't enjoyed anything of theirs that I've tried - I actually prefer the Aldi over Boca.
I actually haven't tried the Gardein Ultimate bc of it's price to food ratio, lol, they need toss another piece in there and stop playing.😂

Thanks for your honest reviews! The Morningstar spicy chick patties are my go-to. I like the Gardein ultimate but they're more expensive and they take longer to cook. Sometimes the smaller patties work on sandwiches better. I think the only way you can really compare prices is by comparing per-serving costs or per-ounce costs.

The Gardein ultimate chicken patties are probably the best meat substitute on market right now. Toss up between that and impossible
Gardein makes so many amazing products and they are not overrated to me lol I adore the Turkey cutlet with gravy and the fishless fillets and the chicken sliders

The Gardein Ultimate is too real for me. My boyfriend, who was a big meat eater before, loves it.
They are scary like meat. I swear the nuggets taste spot on like Chick Fillet

My Meijer doesn’t carry a lot of those (yet). Gardein & Morningstar do go on sale often though,which is a plus. I love these videos!
I’ve found the more I request a product the more they end up popping up. My Target didn’t sell Just Egg until enough of us kept suggesting and emailing the company. Now if they could just keep it in stock.

I love the Quorn Meatless Patties (Not the spicy one though, don't like too much spicy.) I have switched over to those completely and haven't had a real chicken patty in 6 months now.
The Quorn Homestyle Meatless Chiqin Cutlets are like 3 steps above them though. So good, the coating crisps up into a satisfying crunch like I'm having a KFC Crispy thigh.
3:35 I was about to write I was never into chicken burgers...and then I realised that at McDonalds I actually only ate the chicken sandwich when I was a kid (it happened very rarely, but still) :D You actually made me want to try some of the options I have available (including a few you tested)!

I just tried the Morningstar Buffalo Chicken Patty a couple of weeks ago - omg, so good. I had very low expectations, but these were delicious. I tried them on it's own - just cut up; and, I also tried them on bread with some Just Mayo. I really liked them. If only I could find a good vegan blue cheese.
Just tried the Impossible chicken patties. Very good, but a little too thin and skimpy. I would want two of them if I didn't have any side dishes.

I recently had a vegan chicken sandwich at a place in Tulsa OK and it was the best I'd ever had. My friends and I were wondering if it was house made but now looking at them in your video I'm wondering if it was the Gardein Ultimate just deep fried. I'll have to try those soon.

Whole Foods done messed up their chicken recipe. They used to be so good, but they do have that weird aftertaste. I agree Ultimate chicken is bomb! I ate all three patties in 24 hours 😂😂😂

Walmart has a new Great Value Grilled Chik'un patty I enjoy. I regard ya'll's reviews like law. 😆 I always look at ya'll's revues before I get anything. They have been spot on agreement with my findings

Yaaaay you guys tried the gardien Ultimate .... they also make nuggets and tenders in the the Ultimate... I need to try the alpha ones I have tried all the rest
I love Alpha products. The Alpha patties and Alpha nuggets are really good in the air fryer. My kids love them! Incogmeato tenders are really good as well.

You're the best! Alfa and gardein are the best. I don't know if my tastes have changed or the formula changed but morning star chicken is on the bottom. I remember they used to be good?

Good review. I also take the amount of protein into account. I think the only product of this sort I've used regularly (tho not lately) is the Garden chipotle lime tenders, which I liked a lot. I'm one of those that would be grossed out by something overly realistic, so I would be hesitant to try the new Garden product. I tried their Beefless Tips in the past and literally could not eat them as they seemed like actual meat to me. Have some to a hard core meat eater who loved them.

I happen to enjoy the Boca and you are correct! Boca DOES have a spicy patty! I agree Aldi is just okay, but it does the job. I tend to feel like some of these have a greasy end after cooking though! I try to avoid those at all costs… I have yet to try Gardein or Light Life but I’m going to get on that!! Seeing that Light Life is definitely a fave brand for me. How did you guys make these? What method of cooking did you use should I say? (Perhaps you mentioned it but I somehow missed it LOL?)

I’d like to see breakfast sausage taste test. I did a mini taste test last week and there are some foul ones out there!!! The light life breakfast sausage patties tasted like playground wood chips! Don’t ask 😵💫😵💫 took one bite and tossed the whole pack. scarred for lifeeee!

It’s so hard to eat these vegan substitutes when you can’t have gluten! It would be so easy to make the breading GF. If anyone knows of one I would love to hear about it. Anyway, these reviews are great!

I did not like the Ultimate Gardein one, it had an odd taste I just didn’t care for. I’m curious as to how good the impossible one is so I’ll be trying it next. Ultimate Gardein was a hard no for me though. 😊
I have tried 6 of the 9 and the best IMO is #10, Simple Truth (Kroger) Meatless Crispy Patties/Tenders. They are a bit greasy but they absolutely cure my craving for fried chicken.

I honestly haven't tried most of these, even though I should. We always buy the Boca Spicy Chicken Patties (we don't care for the original ones as much). They're not perfect but they're cheap, tasty, available everywhere. 🤷
I do the same with Morningstar Buffalo patties. The original are OK but the spicy just hit different lol. I'm super picky about veggie patties too lol
BOCA is the OG!!!! I went veggie in 2005 and BOCA was all I had!!! And the occasional morning star farms
Might not stand up to competitors today but I still appreciate them for being around so long!
Boca does have a spicy one which I really enjoy.
But my options are pretty limited.

Kinda annoyed with my grocery stores now that you've mentioned the gardein (regular) and Boca was the same cost at your location.
The gardein is usually around $20 more than the Boca where I'm from.

I was actually disappointed by ultimate gardein chicken patties. I thought they’d have the southern style breading like in the bag picture, but it fell flat and the seasoning is so underwhelming. I almost prefer the original considering the price.
Not much choice over here (UK), We use the Quorn when we have fajitas and I would love to try the Gardein but I don't think we get over here now.

For future taste tests, I recommend tasting the item without bread, and without condiments and providing a ranking. Then taste the item with bread and/or with other condiments. Now, you can provide another ranking. Next, don't forget to cleanse the palate to reset your taste buds before tasting another product. One can do this by taking a sip of water, eating a lemon wedge, or having a piece of fruit. I believe doing this can better analyze the range of flavors of the product. All in all, I love these vegan taste tastes and please do keep them coming!!!! 👍🏾👏🏾🙌🏾🔥😋
Gardein is what a major chain restaurant I know uses.
There's a brand I think you'd like, but it is expensive and it is a pain in the butt to get. They're called Atlas Monroe. If you ever get it I would save it for a holiday, but it is amazing.
