Hey Marty, thanks for this. One of my favorites, too. I have fond memories of my Dad and Uncle playing this over and over on a old jukebox we had in our basement while they shot pool and sipped whiskey. I was about 8 or 9. Love being able to play this now at 50. Thanks again.

I could barely play any thing any more after a sever head injury 29 years bed ridden wanting to end it ... then on march 29 something changed were I could listen to music again.. I can only thank God no Dr helped with this even though they tried, unreal migraine daily for years. Now Singing Playing Guitar again hope to send a vid soon people are in Awe of how my life is changed. Music was a gift from above its saving me stronger every day I owe you Marty your teachings have save me with a renewed hope .... thank you..

Helpful, thanks. . But I think u have an extra c chord "ain't nobody feeling no pain" part . . And missing the beginning g chord at the "let's sell your diamond. . " part. And I think it should be an Am chord instead of C in the part right after first chorus.

Hello Sir, do you think I can teach myself guitar? I cannot afford lessons and I'm 48 years old.
It's very easy to teach yourself, I did and I'm 17. The first month is hell, don't let it discourage yourself. Practice often and youtube guides are your friends. Start of with easy 3 chord songs, and as you practice those, the chords will become muscle memory. Good Luck!

#Bassfinder, I think you can teach yourself how to play chords and strum. But actually "Playing" the guitar is a whole different matter. Start out on your own and when you start to long for the next step, and you will, seek some theory education and then you will fly! keep on keepin on. Pick up that guitar and have something thast inspires you for ever more. Good Luck.
