Sad to say that Heather O'Rourke died in 1988 at the age of 12 from cardiopulmonary arrest and intestinal stenosis.

Words change. I'm sure in 1910 calling someone "gay" wouldn't get you sued.

It would have meant happy back then. Perhaps if you called them homosexuals or nancy boys it might have. You got a point.
Calling homosexuals gay doesn't make sense, most of them are not very happy.
@Art: My husband and I are quite happy. Most of my gay friends are quite happy. Perhaps you shouldn't speak of subjects you have no knowledge of.
