The f104 is a boom and zoom, if you crit, severe, miss or kill a target keep flying, no one can catch you, then when you're far enough away re engage. The thing has a turn radius of a foot ball stadium. Also when someone launches a missile at you angle your plane sideways, disable afterburner and hold "s" on your keyboard. Also go to Options-Main Parameters-Battle Interface and set "Fuel Indication" to "Always". This will display how much fuel you have the entire match .
When a IR missile if following you, turn of the after burner and turn hard. I'd also reccommend you to enable the "always on" for engine temperature and fuel.
@@4pertaso you can always see how much fuel u have remaining and the temp of your engine even when it’s not overheating. Fuel I recommend, always seeing your temps I don’t think is necessary.
Just a tip u might want to turn 'show fuel' on, its quite critical and very useful information especially at higher tiers and when using planes with after burners! Anyways, currently my favorite series to watch on youtube so keep it up!! :)
Dude your grind is going very good and you choose a good tech tree Like i choose the naval and the striker line(the f14b is the only plane that doesnt get aim120and the av8b+ is slow asf)btw i love your videos❤
I recommend you research the F-104C as well, in the next update it will get 4 AIM-9Bs as opposed to the current 2 it gets. There’s a slight performance decrease but it isn’t noticeable. Happy grinding!

Very very fast). You go in try and hit (POSSIBLY kill) and then run. Aim-9b's used for unaware people or to counter missiles on head-on. I think thats all I got. The rest is for the rest of the commenters and DEFYN. Edit of the edit: also run full fuel for the F-104A. Dont expect greatly (or at all noticable) improved maneuverability with less fuel. (Afterburner likes fuel).

Only issue with Defyn is unless the jet is peak performance, he has a tendency to call it garbage. If you go by his recommendations you’ll miss out on a lot of fun and good planes. Listen to his engagement advice, but try out whatever planes you want.
as ive finished the US tree, im grinding sweden rn and its actually ok! since its a smaller tech tree there are less vehicles to research its quite fun, id defo recommend after youve done US
Hey, if u get in a head on burst for about 3 seconds then turn as hard as possible down and left until you do a 180°turn, then continue the loop while spam tapping pitch up to avoid blackouts The tap method also help to not black out anyway, it doesn’t prevent blackouts but it helps to make them not happen as much (P.S this tactic only works on keyboard which I’m assuming is what you play on because it’s pretty much the only way to be competitively good)
most missles at this battle rating are infared, meaning they track using the heat of your engine. if you see one, turn your throttle to zero, and then roll and use whatever you have set your rudder controls to be at the same time, and pray the missile will fly past you

Tips for the F104 DO NOT DOGFIGHT You turn like a brick and take about 25 minutes of fuel so you don't run out mid battle also try to boom and zoom your opponents
Have you joined a squadron yet if u haven’t I recommend joining one cuz in the premium side of the tree there are sometimes ones that are green and you can research them and every few days depending on how much you play it researched it
How is he Fürther than me in the tech tree, I started earlier and have Premium f4s and still just got f104 and he gets more kills than me in the same tier

No point in turning off after burner if you dont have flares, turning hard doesnt break the seeker, rather its just out Ging the missile.
I mean if you're in a plane without flares turning off the afterburner is pointless unless you're slowing down to get more maneuverability lol

Yep, took me around a month and a half to unlock the F15A, I can confirm the grind is painful😭 i am now grinding for the f16.

when ever a missile is fired at you I would recommend turning off your after burner
When a plane is severely damaged you automatically get the kill unless they somehow make it back to base
you should take 100% fuel in the F-104, it also cant turn so do head-ons also i love your vids
F104 is amazing as long as you have the fuel counter always shown and zip in and out of enemy formations
When dealing with missiles stop using afterburners but except that I love what you do and continue with the grind
