There’s a new thing in options called radar altimeter that tells you how far you are from the ground and not just your altitude above sea level. Also the f104 is fast. A lot of the times if you just stay fast with afterburner on the entire match you can often outrun enemy missiles. The f104 doesn’t turn.
pro tip: make sure to pop flares when a missile is locked on you. according to replies you dont have flares so just turn off your engine and fly into the sun and then turn away from the sun because the missile will lock on the sun edit: oh wow never got anyone to reply to me also my most liked comment

yes, Aim-9Ds are basically undodgeable unless you start turning before the missile is launched, and to make it better 80 percent of the planes at that br/downtier wont have flares
after 1500h of playtime its always refreshing to watch someone just enjoying the game, the grind for the F15 is killing me, also if you press U you can change to watch the missiles pov, also for the f104 if you going at max speed you will always outrun the missiles in a straight line
I feel you bro in regards to aiming, I'd always whiff my shots and then there are times where I managed to get 2 to 3 kills and wonder why I can't do it consistently.
Welcome to High Tier. It's hell. Tip: don't turn in a 104. They've been turned from bricks to EVEN BIGGER BRICKS. Seriously. Also, get the F-8U2 as fast as possible. It'll make the grind so much more bearable.
If you want more missiles, research the F-104C! It JUST got 2 more AIM-9Bs on cheek mounts (beside the cockpit), for only a small decrease in performance that isn't noticeable at all.
2 tips: 1- any AIM9B or R3S can be easily dodged with a 12 G sharp turn (or makeshift flares with the rockets) 2- whenever u see an A10 or an SU-25, just run or pray they don't have all aspect IR missiles left. And have fun with ur grind
heres a TIP the aim9B isnt a all aspect missile, therefor you cannot lock onto targets and have your missile track unless youre behind the target. and a tip for killing A10's is to comefrom underneath them they cant pull down very hard and their missiles are all aspect so stay low to the ground and dont take headons against them... LOVE the vids keep up the work! soon enough youll be top tier :D
i would personally recommend grinding to get the f4e, as that plane has pretty good missles, and it gets a wide range of bombs and rockets, as well as having one of the biggest RPS, which is over 12000 with the gun pods
the f104 is a boom and zoom fighter dont try to turn fight ppl you go in get out as fast as you can if you try to turn fight you will die nothing at the br its at can catch it and theres basically no reason to not use after burner unless u are trying to dodge a missle

Saw that you unlocked the f86-f2, im grinding with it now and ill just say, withouth upgraded guns itll be hell. The things jam up in less than five seconds of firing. I pushed through it though and somehow learned to snipe enemies with it. Youll have to get your aim on point if you even want to get a kill with that thing.
cool video jsut to tell u that F-15A has a terible roll rate when it doesnt have boosters so it will be kinda hard to get a kill. well every jet has a bad roll rate without boosters so good luck!
You do realize those missiles you face in the f86 are low g missiles, so basically all you gotta really do is pull a 11g turn which the sabre can do and you'd be fine

Quite a lot of us land without putting our gear out because it’s quicker but riskier to land. So then you can re-arm and repair before you would stop if you had you landing gear out But that is what I think of it since I land without landing gears only

You know you can use rockets as flares? And check the missile stat card it shows where the missile is allowed to shoot like the aim 9b is a rear aspect missile.
3:10 that MiG-19 shouldn't have been too much of a problem. I don't intend to be mean, but you wasted a bit much rounds on it. The AIM-9B Shouldn't be used on targets that are fast and more than 1.5km away. It is possible to hit from 2km but it's tricky and easy to dodge.

tip for the f104, take 30-35min of fuel and just go full afterburner the whole match
and try to stay above mach 1. a slow f104 is a dead f104

I just take 50% fuel, it’s really sacrifices your turn rate but you’re not gonna rtb with just 30% fuel
