First time watching you. Loved your info. Recently tried elf, I'm 76, stopped using makeup 5 years ago when my only child died and was so depressed. Just starting to use little makeup recently, it makes me feel better mentally. Thanks for your TH-cam videos.
I'm so sorry for your loss. I have recently started a new chapter in my life, having lost husband, home and broke my hip, due to a hurricane. I too, have recently started being interested in makeup and wardrobe. We've got to open our eyes and breathe again. Love to you, lady! 🩷
❤️
Oh so sorry for your loss!! Hugs to you..
❤🙏
🤗💫🌷
The creators of this cosmetics brand have proven three things: that products can be both affordable and good. Second, it’s so affordable price wise that most people don’t mind trying it at least once. And third, in this economy where there is no money to waste, there is no shame in buying affordable drugstore makeup. People can do without the fancy packaging. For now, what matters most is affordability, quality and performance. A win win for the consumer and a win win for the companies providing products with affordable price point. What’s not to love?
Preach, sis!!!! ❤❤❤
Perfectly stated 🙌🏼
Agreed,if only the containers were recyclable, the line would be perfect !
It's awesome in this economy!
Aquaphor lip balm under the eyes as a primer works like Seint’s Lip Balm.
I'm 74.....i have worn makeup since 13 yrs old...ive tried many products.....ELF IS GREAT!!
I love ELF! Makeup, skin care.. you can’t go wrong! Every woman deserve good affordable skin care and ELF delivers!
Hello! I have just recently found your channel and as a 72 year young woman who loves makeup, I really enjoy your content. Michelle, you nailed it with elf. I love a lot of their products, but like you, some just don’t work for me. But that said, I am always thrilled when they release new products to try. 100% on the labeling..lol. I your honest reviews are so appreciated, especially with these more affordable brands. I love to play with different products, but after a while, we have a pretty strong stash and spending more money really isn’t necessary. However, since I really enjoy makeup, it’s kind of my “fun money” indulgence. So thanks again for your wonderful content. I look forward to more from you. Be well and have a wonderful week.💄❤
I have never used Elf before. Will try a few products you said you liked. I am 82 but have always used good products. Everyone thinks I'm in my late 60's. I have never gone to bed with makeup on, and always used night time care since I was 21 years old. Thanks for video!
Love your content! I’m a big Elf fan! I’ve used the Thrive Causemetics tubing mascara when it came out years ago! Loved, love it! However, for the price, Elf’s mascara is just as good! I have all Elf’s concealers and I’m not really liking them. Too heavy and cakey! The Camo blushes are gorgeous! Blend so beautifully! Tube lipstick o face are wonderful! Lip liners are good for the price, can’t beat them! I love their Tarte dupes better than the brand, Tarte is very gloppy,if that makes sense, Elf isn’t. Thanks for the tip, about powdering side of your face to stop your hair from sticking! One of my big pet peeves! Natasha Denona concealer is my high end favorite. Catrice is my drug store favorite! Great video! You look Elfin’ gorgeous! Can’t wait for summer video! Thanks I appreciate your hard work!🥰🌹
I started using castor oil on my arms and, even though it’s a little drying, I was so surprised what it did for my sun spots. I was so impressed that I’ve started using it over my upper lip where I have a lot of hyper pigmentation. It’s already working. I just use it over all the skin care on my upper lip area. Just a drop does the trick. I’ve tried everything from peels to retin a to vitamin c. Nothing works as well for me as castor oil on my skin. And I have very discolored , very dry skin. Get the cold pressed kind in a glass bottle. Like black castor oil. Marshall’s usually has it for a real good price.
Oh wow! Thanks for this
Gonna try that trick and see if it works for me!
I agree with this comment. I put a drop of my night cream, a drop of castor oil and a drop of vitamin C (to help thin out the consistency of the castor oil and put it all over my face and neck before bed and I’ve seen a huge difference in my fine lines and wrinkles. I also drink Spoiled Child liquid collagen and it helps plump my skin as well. I’m on my 2nd bottle and I’ve seen a huge difference in my skin, hair and nails.
Caster oil is great for soooo many things. The list is endless
I started using castor oil a couple of months ago and wow it works!
I love ELF, I have tons of their skin care and cosmetics. Many items have replaced high-end or luxury brands in my makeup stash. Okay, so it's a makeup hoard.😅 I bought some shares of elf stock for my retirement portfolio. It's been profitable, and rightfully so.
I'm not a fan of the concealer but most of their products are wonderful. And as a side note... I spent a lot of money on BK Beauty brushes & I love the ELF brushes as much or more & the price point is amazing
Elf is one of my favorite makeup brands. They’re cruelty free and affordable.
I also love that they are fair trade certified, so even though they manufacture some things in PRC, they ensure that human rights are followed. Also that they give back to their communities in various ways like raising funds and awareness.
Precisely❤
Vegan and cruelty free too. They are my favorite brand.
I can’t bring myself to purchase makeup from prc. I wish it didn’t bother me so much.
First time watching you….you are adorable! I have recently found ELF and really like it❤
I am also a makeup artist of over 30 plus years. I love E.L.F.
One of my most favorite makeup looks is a monochromatic look on anyone with auburn or red toned hair. I think it is the most natural, most ethereal beautiful look ever. You nailed it, Sis
The colors are great and I'm with you about the under-eye concealer. I like the Dior, but my favorite is Seint Demi, there is nothing like it. I was watching you while babysitting my 5-year-old Grandson and he wanted me to tell you you're pretty😁❤
Oh! Give him a BIG kiss from me!! I adore kids!!! ❤ they are my favorite people!!!!
And yes, demi is the best🎉
@@maturemakeupmasterclass they are my favorite people too, they tell it like it is!
This is my first time watching you and I love your videos! I'm almost 70 and I want to look as good as I can for as long as I can... but it needs to be on a BUDGET! Thanks for this! I love it!
I love Elf products too! One of my favorites is the holy hydration moisturizer with spf 30. Just love it for everyday under my make up. It is very moisturizing, not greasy, and just keeps my 72 year old skin looking healthy. I tried the glowy spf and it made my skin feel irritated. Love their eye shadows and eye pencils too.
Thanks for sharing! Others love community reviews
I used to use their brow pencil and I liked it but there just isn’t much product in them…so I switched to their brow gel and love it so much more. It lasts a long time and if it starts drying out I just add a couple drops castor oil to it. It also works great as my eyeliner. So I get two products in one that way. Love it ! Thx for this video.
I cannot believe the transformation in your glow with your new hair and season match. You glow without any makeup. I always learn from every video you share, and look forward to hanging out with you every Wednesday and Saturday. 🥰❤️
Thank you so much! Yes, when you are in your correct season, it brightens skin! Everything is harmonious ❤
Put castor oil on the age/sun spots, works wonders.
It's crazy, but I think it IS helping! Also reducing my moles. Which I thought was a hopeless case. I'm shocked.
Thank you for talking about the crumbling of the temples. I noticed that recently and wondered if was my actives. Just in the temples. I never thought it could be the SPF. Any suggestions about how to address that issue?
Find a different spf, it mostly happens with chemical SPF I never noticed it with mineral
This is my first time watching your channel and I loved it! I also enjoy Elf makeup……love their products and love their prices! Thank you so much and I will definitely be watching your videos!!
Im glad you pointed out that about the bronzing drops, I was going to buy it to camouflage my spots. I don't want to accentuate them. Thank you for the warning.
I like using the halo glow contour and highlight wands on my eyelids for an easy natural soft everyday look on my eyes.
You don't seem to have hooded eyes, but if you can give us advice about applying makeup for hooded eyes that would be great! Thank you!
I love watching you do makeup. You’re beautiful inside and out. That color looks very pretty on you. Congratulations on over 100,000 subscribers.
Thank you so much!!
I love makeup too! ELF is probably my favorite drugstore brand. Drugstore prices are creeping upwards with other brands, but ELF keeps the price nice.
Ive noticed the same or they reduce the size but slightly increase price so its barely distinguishable from higher end
@@maturemakeupmasterclassm
I thought I was the only one who has issues with bronzing drops. Thank you for validating me!❤
I love seeing people love ELF as much as me.
I have all 3 of those complexion products (haven't loved Camo because it was too heavy) so it's GENIUS to put them together! Thank you 🙏
Awesome! Let me know how it turns out ❤
Wondered about ELF for years. So grateful you did this video. Thank you ❣️
Huge fan of E.L.F. !!! Been using their skincare and make up for years! Their Holy Hydration line rocks! Very affordable!
So excited for your Elf summer video! Thanks for this video. I appreciate all the information you give.
I appreciate that you appreciate my teaching❤❤❤
I’ve been using the elf putty colour-correcting eye brightener. Really loving it. Kinda reminds me of Demi O1. Very luminous and just enough pigment to brighten the inner corners of my eyes
I missed that product but Ill get it soon!!! ❤
I’m 54 and absolutely LOVE the camo concealer and believe me, I’ve tried a million different ones.
Thank you! We all appreciate your input! What skin type are you?
Does it last all day? When I tried it, it caked and settled in lines and pores. Does it turn orangish in the afternoon?
@@maturemakeupmasterclass I’ve a normal skin type. Can be slightly on the dry side sometimes.
@@margerymullins7806 I use Mac setting spray as last step of makeup application and I’ve never found it to go cakey or orange. I do use concealer sparingly though. I just dot in the inside and outside corners and blend under and into the top eyelid also.
I've also worked in the prestige cosmetics industry since early 2000's and yes the drugstore market has definately stepped up their game in recent years!
I’m a first time watcher. I’m 71 and trying to find cosmetics for mature skin. I like a few ELF products, but I am also not a fan of their concealer. All my fine lines are emphasized by it. I’m following you to learn more about products and applications for mature skin. Thanks!
I love chunky pencils and I like using them under the eye
Me too! So easy ❤
Michelle, Masterclass Mama - congrats on reaching 100,000 subs!! Yay! 🎉❤
Woo hoo!!!🎉🎉🎉 thanks to ALL of us!! ❤
I love Elf, too. Their brushes are actually really nice. Girl, that MOB beauty 1990 is AWESOME!
Yes and yes❤❤
I'm older so I want/need good skincare but I'm also oily so almost everything feels sticky on me--especially spf---girl I hear you about feeling your hair on your face! I don't want ''glowy'' (greasy) but I don't want totally matte either--the struggle is real haha
How can I make my hooded eyes look good? I’m 74 and learning about makeup to look better.
Love Elf. I’ve been using their products for 20 years.
Same! But the quality has come a LONG way!!!!❤
Love the idea of mixing the foundation like you did! I’m trying it today
Let me know how you like it❤
I did!! It looked good (not as good as hers, but good) 😅
Fellow Nashville girl here! What setting spray do you love for our oppressive summers?
❤Thank you,you look very pretty!I'm 74 ,hit or miss with makeup but I love elf. Thanks so much for the makeup lesson.Less is more for me but makeup makes me feel pretty.Usally out in hot sun working in my garden all day.
This was such a GREAT video. Thank you for sharing your e.l.f. favs (and not so favs). I am continually impressed with e.l.f. products!
Do you have a link to the brushes and your mirror you used ?
FYI Michelle, you asked us to let you know when someone is using your brand name, "Ma ture Makeup Masterclass." I just saw a short by RMS using that phrase in my TH-cam feed.
Yes, thank you so much! Ive documented it for my lawyer and have sent RMS a message on each platform. Someone emailed me yesterday! I appreciate all of you SO much!!!
Surely you jest.
Love the look! I have enjoyed a few elf products in the past and am going to have to get some more! The liquid blush, eye crayon, foundation & glowy lotion are on the list! I’m a first time viewer of your channel and I appreciate your approach to beauty with affordable makeup. Yes, it rivals the rich girls look any day! ❤
First time watching. I'm not really sold on the concealer either. Could you do a video just on concealers?
Finally, founding someone who is over 40, who did a look I have been wanting.
She her make up who just enhances her skin looking fresh. Doesn't look over done. Where it seems her natural skin shines through.
Yet not under done, she looks put together.
I am not a great writer so I hope it made sense. It was exactly what I was thinking, I want it. I thought I was asking too much, & maybe to old. Because everytime I would see someone doing their makeup that was over the age of 40, it was beautiful but just too much for me. I was beginning to think, anyone over 40 would has to have that soap opera actress look.
Side note- definitely going to start better care of my skin. ( Where about this evening but she does look much younger than me 😁✌️)
I haven’t heard anyone address bronzer with sunspots and it’s so true !!!thank you for this video. Love all your suggestions and tips.
You are so welcome! Thanks for being here!
Not all bronzing drop or cream have self tan properties. It’s only the self tan part that brings out sun spots. Same with every self tanner for the body.
Love elf! The colors you used are beautiful ❤ your eyes really look green!
Thank you so much!!
First time viewer, and immediately subscribed. You have beautiful energy. 😍
ELF has gotten expensive. They used to always have 40% off coupons. Now they're hard to find.
Your opinion of the misses from Elf are the same as mine!! And your right about the price… affordable to try and if i don’t like it, someone i know might! Great video!
Love that we are on the same page!❤
I’ve just discovered using ELF, and I love it! Thanks for featuring their cosmetics, I can’t wait to go to the store tomorrow to purchase more products. Great video!
I just found your channel and WOW! Thanks for the info on elf. I like what I’ve used but I really need to try more of their products. I’m 64 y/o and just lost 100 lbs., so I’m having so much fun finding myself again!
Great video! The ELF website is so clunky, slow & difficult to use! I thought it might be my browser, so I tried another & same issue! Any tips for the website? I was eventually able to place my order. I bought the gamut! I've always loved the multi-chromatic multi stick!! Thank you for your videos!
What is the best pore reducing product you think is on the market at the moment? Doesn't have to be Elf but I'm 52 and not liking the size of my pores recently.
I love watching you put on makeup. I find it therapeutic. I think you look really pretty. I like the multistick blush. I use one from Ilia which I love.
The Ilia multi sticks are the BEST!!! ❤
And thank you! I am happy to hear that my videos calm you 😂❤down
You look fantastic!! I love quick & easy makeup - and so affordable is an added bonus!! Thank you - I’ve learned so much watching your videos.
Thanks Anette, that means so much ❤
I’ve been using ELF skincare and like the moisturizer and cleanser. I also used the SPF which is a bit glittery for me and it’s only a 30. I did see they had an SPF 35 without the glow which I may pick up when I finish my Cocokind SPF. I’ve never used their makeup though. I may give it a try.
Keep us posted❤
Just to follow up, I picked up a clear SPF from ELF. It says it’s a blurring, clear primer, SPF 35. I’m going to try it over this weekend and maybe mix a bit of my Jones Road WTF to make a tinted SPF. We shall see.
I'm going to be 44 this September & I still enjoy using my Elf hydrating camo concealer. To be 100% honest, I have not tried many things from Elf that I did not enjoy. Granted, they've released so many things, it's hard to keep up lol
Love Diet Dr. PEPPER❤😂
I like my elf waterproof brow pencil also! $4!!! WHAT?
Crazy❤ the price!!
I use the elf camo cc cream but I need both fair and light combined. Here in Australia they are $35 each. Elf is very expensive here
My bad, I forgot to ask, if you would be willing to do a Catrice bougie on a budget tutorial. They have been releasing some cool products lately. I love the blush you suggested in a video. It's so pigmented. Thank you, but I totally understand if you can't. You have a lot going on.😊
Great idea, I havent done catrice in a long time🎉
No bronzer drops or self tanner for me on the face! Talk about accentuating the things we’re trying to rid ourselves of! It’s like instantly going backward. lol, finally someone says it out loud! Was wondering if I was applying the drops wrong. 😂
So well said! Lets all become Geishas❤😂
The older that I have gotten, the less makeup that I am inclined to use. I know that I will never be able to get rid of foundation, but I am liking the pencil eyeshadow. Jones Road has an awesome concealer, pricey, but good, although I wanted to know if you tried the putty color-correcting eye brightener from ELF.
Ooh I have a full bin of elf too. I don’t feel so bad now, lol! I actually prefer elf’s tubing mascara over the Thrive Causemetics one because Thrive is a very wet, messy formula. elf found the sweet spot with their formula.
Elf tubing is SO good! I also love Milani Lash Extensions but elf is half the cost
Robert Welsh did a great TH-cam video on how to use bronzing drops. It’s a great video! Thanks for all you do for us mature ladies ❤
I am not a bronzer person but tried the RMS beauty hydra powder bronzer in fair and like it. It gave me a nice glow with a light sun kiss look. I just place where the sun would hit the face.
Bingo! It’s meant to just give a little warmth to the face and women who are cool, toned, or fare need completely different shades from the typical orange or red bronze
Yes so true since I have been away from sunbathing and now 67 I am fair to light which when I was young I was able to use medium shade. So now I live to experience with a new palette. Love your videos thank you for being with us mature women.
👋😀 New subscriber here. I'm really enjoying your videos. I'll be 60 in June & finally decided, this past year, to start taking better care of my dry, sensitive, mature skin. After watching tons of videos, doing a bunch of research & spending way too many dollars on products that just weren't cuttin' it- I found e.l.f. 🤗 My skin (and my wallet) are very happy! 😅 Lately I've ventured into their makeup line & loving quite a bit of it. 💕 Their prices are affordable, so I'm able to experiment with different looks & fun colors! Your honest reviews & upbeat personality are refreshing. Thank you!! Looking forward to more of your content!
I think I will love demi when I can get it. I bought your Master Class and love it!!! Does that count as a client of yours for a color match for demi? Love all you do for us!!!
I color match anyone for free whether you’re my student or not so when you are ready, just let me know❤
I’m a 53 yr old woman that has hooded, downward eyes. I also struggle with redness, sensitive skin on my cheeks. The texture is rough and embarrassing. Can you help me with some ideas for rosacea or eczema? My skin burns even if I just have water on it.
Thank You
p.s I can’t afford a dermatologist
I love your hair color, looks great! The makeup turned out beautiful!! I'll have to investigate the Elf makeup!! First video of yours I've watched! I'll be back! 😂
Correct about the bronzer and sunspots! Had to stop using as the spots seemed to absorb the sekf tanner! Aweful on legs and face.
Yep! Its a bummer but Im gonna rock pasty year round!😂 and when I need it, Ill use body makeup
The jergens after shower lotion with gradual tanner gives a smidge of color after a week or 2 of use with no cling on spots. It's definitely not going to have same result color wise as a tanner.
For a temporary darker color for legs, sally hansen spray on is my go to. It covers everything like spiderveins and washes off with soap and water. Sweat doesn't seem to bother it.
I add bronzing drops to sunscreen to tint it.
Elf bronzing drops are the first I ever tried so I can't speak for others I'm 45 with dry mature skin fighting fine lines and adding extra hydration are my main concerns. It does say on the website to add the bronzing drops to foundation or moisturizer I add mine either to my primer or foundation and I got mine right when they launched in the pure gold. Now I do recommend not putting them directly on skin because they can look patchy but that's why u need to add them to another product they dry down so quick and it takes a lot more too. Now I don't know if this disrupts my spf from working but my fave way of using the bronzing drops was first with the whoa glow and mix the bronzing drops to it and I wear just that a lot but then I used my jelly pop also then my it cc cream it was beautiful.❤😊 the drops are also good for deepening foundation shade into your summer color ive done tha5 as well bottom line I love bronzer I never used bronzing drops b4 elf now I wear them everyday I have to make myself not use them in fact I was thinking if I use em this much I'm gonna need more. They became a staple I never knew I needed or wanted or loved. I love elf because they are on top of their game there isn't much I don't like but they do miss once in a while everyone loves the putty blush I want to buy more colors but the color I have is patchy no matter how or what I use to apply them unfortunate
Woooow just found you!!! I'm 60's I love Elf, can you tell me which sponge use?? Thank's
I loved this look. Your hair is beautiful. Can you review believe beauty?
I'll check it out!
@MATURE MAKEUP MASTERCLASS 1st time watching, you have a new subscriber. Please tell me if your hair is colored & if so WHAT DO YOU USE?… GORGEOUS COLOR! Thank you ~ Anita3kids
Not a fan of the camo concealer - I keep trying it but, it’s a no for me. Too thick, moves around - not attractive. Now using Lancôme radiant concealer.
LOVE Lancome so much!!!❤
I love elf. I am surprised how no one ever talks about their eye primer. For oily skin, it is critical for me on neutralizing the lid and having the eye shadow stay on. Only $4 it is worth a try!
Tubing mascara is amazing ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
E.L.F. mascara lash and roll is the best I've ever used and I've tried them all! Even the expensive ones over the years!! It never clumps or flakes, it goes on so smoothly.
I love easy, I recently started applying eyeshadow with my fingers. Easy and great results
I love that people can find affordable products in the drugstore. For me I end up wasting too much money trying drugstore. I have better luck with high end. I don’t wear makeup everyday so stuff lasts me a long time. I do love the the elf cleansing balm. The elf hydro grip I hated. Way too sticky for me. The eyebrow pencils are really good.
I must be the only person on the planet who doesn't really care for Elf. Their complexion products are total flops for me. All of them. Especially the "Camo" products. I've found maybe a lipstick and a gloss that are OK.
Ty for this, Doll! I am so tired of spending money I don't even have on lux lines when there is ELF! Everything I've tried is superb! So excited were for this video!
I have been using elf since I was 16! Idc, elf has never failed me
And its getting better each year!
First time watching your channel.....why do content providers make vids on skin care and make up with their hair hanging around their face....nails down a chalk board for me, can't watch.
In my opinion the bondi sands spf 50 is a fav. Also the hemish artless glow base spf 30 or 50. I can’t quite remember but it’s great too. I love elf makeup but that whoa glow makes me break out so I can’t use it
Agree on the Bondi and a great one is Everyday Humans 30 face or 50 body. Sunscreen days ahead!
I'm watching from down under Australia and I just found your channel and I loved it. I've never e r seen anything like your video. Your skin looks like a beautiful glowing skinl. I've never heard of elf makeup. Will have to do sum research. I'm now going back to watch sum more of your videos. Love your work!!!!!
First time watching you. My gripe with elf is they say on their site, "ingredients may change time to time"
Along with thousands of others, I'm allergic to potassium sorbate which is what some use for a preservative.
I can't afford to buy elf that does not allow returns because they put potassium sorbate in it, "this time".
Where did you have your color analysis done? I'm in the Nashville and I really need to have my colors done. You'd think by the age of 61 I'd know, but i don't.
I cant wear elf . my pore open up look like dot all over my face just not for me .only thing love is brow pencil .my face peel with elf makeup .dirt cheap I wish work out .look gym makeup as concealer that no might pick up wrong color .have try Laura Gallen web sight dirt cheap get gym cover my Red on my face .ps love color your hair lot shine
Love your videos. What do you recommend to help prevent mascara smudging to the under eye area? I've used water proof and that doesn't help much.
why don't you dampen the brush? that way the makeup doesn't fill the brush
also, maybe use a concealer over the spots before you use the bronzer?
