I just happen to have a new hair cut and that was the most difficult thing I have ever done. I was so afraid that the barber mentioned it like three times. I got used to my style and I was afraid that the barber could mess it. got a bit of a confession.. .. i actually subscribed to Dollar Beard Club and order their Growth Oil in the hopes that it would help the process. I know now that im out about 10$ now on something thats not gonna work.... but at least now i know so i can cancel the subscription. I may even even look into Beard Barnd products for some oils and waxes idk. anyway, seriously thank you so much for the help. Good stuff! Too many men these days doing all sorts of stuff and spending their hard-earned money on whatever it takes to improve their beards (or grow one from nothing altogether). We need to call out these companies and spread this sort of knowledge. Spot-on with the fake Amazon reviews as well; people that get free products simply don't want to leave bad reviews or else they won't get more free products - even if the person is legitimately reviewing a product, they'll be favorable toward it. That's additional the actual fake, dishonest reviews, which you mentioned.
Well it's a matter of the catch 22. You have a great product that you made sure works and you put it up on Amazon, where 65% of all ecommerce on the internet happens but you don't have reviews so ZERO people buy your stuff. You see, as any half wit with an MBA will explain, there are 3 types of customers. You have your early adopters which are the people who will test things out and try them and give their feedback. An example of those people would be the thousands who waited in line for days when the first Iphone came out. Next you have your bulk consumers. They've heard your story from the early adopters and they want to try it. Finally you have market saturation where the product is known, accepted that there is a use for it and now people look at your product in terms of commodity. Example: Laundry detergent. No one really cares whether they use Downy or Tide as long as it's cheap. The beard market is headed in that direction very soon.
I agree with everything you said besides your take on Minoxidil for your face. There's studies on top of studies that shows it works and the Cons are minimal to nothing.

They had a free comb deal that I tried and figured if I like it I may order some more things even though there was a bombardment of other deals at check out to pay for shipping... after that I've been getting the most annoying emails several times a day. one important thing to realize is every single beard is unique. just cuz someone else's beard does something doesn't mean yours will and vice versa. on that note. give it time. at the age of 17 your face is barely capable of what it will be in a few years. stay patient.

Carlos Segovia people here will tell you its a myth and it only appears to grow in thicker because the end of the shaft is cut off or something to that effect. Bu when I was 17 I had vellus hairs and shaved them continually, but the one area I didn't (soul patch) didn't get thick and all the rest did. so I guess it wont harm you if you did, and it wont harm you if you didn't. but eventually you will see the hairs developing regardless.

Need some advice eric! My beard is 3 weeks old tomorrow, and looking significanlty better than the 3 week mark when i tried to grow it out last year. My cheeks are significantly better than last year, which are my week part. However, my right cheek has a higher density of hair than my left(i think more hairs, rather than longer hairs), also under my right jaw is denser than my left, will this resolved itself in due time? hey eric, i bought a beard oil on amazon...my first beard oil bay lime beard oil from botanical skin works i tried cuz its my first, its cheap and its 4oz compared to other 1oz bottle is it normal tho that when I apply the beard oil, i feel moist and great for about 2 hours and then my beard becomes completly dry i have a curly beard and it doesnt seem to do much beside shine and small softness but i can still feel all my hair being super unruly and hard after like 2-3 hours and i have a 7 weeks beard also when i apply beard oil and i dont clean my safe before sleep, when i wake up my beard is super hard and worst than the day before...are u supposed to clean ur face at night when u applied beard oil earlier in the day? hope u awnser my 2 questions, thank u in advance.
+Simply The Best Hate to say this, but you get what you pay for. Not all products are the same and cheaper quality is cheaper quality. A high quality beard oil, like Beardbrand, is worlds apart from the cheap stuff you get on Amazon. Many people end up spending more money (than actually saving money) when they buy cheap because they end up buying the junk first, then the good stuff afterwards. Save yourself the headache next time and get better products. So I recommend applying beard oil after you wash your face & beard and your pores are still open from the warm water. There is no one set rule, and should fall into your schedule. I shower in the morning and apply the beard oil after my shower.

It's not going to make your beard come in fuller or thicker in areas it doesn't currently grow. If a product is making claims to cure or treat medical issues (ie, thin/patchy beards) it must be FDA approved. That approval process requires clinical tests that prove the viability of the product. If the product is making cosmetic claims (smoother beard, softer beard, radiant beard, appearance of a thicker beard, etc) then it does not need to be FDA approved. I'm not familiar with beard powder, but I'd be skeptical of anything that makes big claims.

I've let my facial hair grow out again, not really had an issue with itchiness, or ingrowing hairs. Got really good skin underneath, that women would envy. Appart from feeling like sandpaper after a full shave.
I don't think highly of them. They were using Jeff's photographs without his permission insinuating that he endorsed their products when he didn't. I think their marketing tactics would fall in the tactics I describe in this video.
Lets face it most of us make our own oils...we all reach that point...but we tend to try the next big thing...so, I tried Dollar Beard Club. Not a homer, they have cheap oils that I had to add my own essentials to to get the fragrant manliness I dig...but not bad creams and balms. The brush and comb are decent. hey eric, i bought a beard oil on amazon...my first beard oil
bay lime beard oil from botanical skin works
i tried cuz its my first, its cheap and its 4oz compared to other 1oz bottle
is it normal tho that when I apply the beard oil, i feel moist and great for about 2 hours and then my beard becomes completly dry
i have a curly beard and it doesnt seem to do much beside shine and small softness but i can still feel all my hair being super unruly and hard after like 2-3 hours
and i have a 7 weeks beard
also when i apply beard oil and i dont clean my safe before sleep, when i wake up my beard is super hard and worst than the day before...are u supposed to clean ur face at night when u applied beard oil earlier in the day?

+Simply The Best Hate to say this, but you get what you pay for. Not all products are the same and cheaper quality is cheaper quality. A high quality beard oil, like Beardbrand, is worlds apart from the cheap stuff you get on Amazon. Many people end up spending more money (than actually saving money) when they buy cheap because they end up buying the junk first, then the good stuff afterwards. Save yourself the headache next time and get better products.
So I recommend applying beard oil after you wash your face & beard and your pores are still open from the warm water. There is no one set rule, and should fall into your schedule. I shower in the morning and apply the beard oil after my shower.

If the product is making cosmetic claims (smoother beard, softer beard, radiant beard, appearance of a thicker beard, etc) then it does not need to be FDA approved.
I'm not familiar with beard powder, but I'd be skeptical of anything that makes big claims.

I've let my facial hair grow out again, not really had an issue with itchiness, or ingrowing hairs. Got really good skin underneath, that women would envy. Appart from feeling like sandpaper after a full shave.

Lets face it most of us make our own oils...we all reach that point...but we tend to try the next big thing...so, I tried Dollar Beard Club. Not a homer, they have cheap oils that I had to add my own essentials to to get the fragrant manliness I dig...but not bad creams and balms. The brush and comb are decent. You can buy, change your order, and quit when you want (I did) They have real time help-desk you can message...company is legit, like it or not...most products are for crap though. Cheap oil is cheap oil. You get what you pay for.
