The way Tarot relies so much on intuition is the exact reason why I'm trying to learn. Coming from evangelical, patriarchal background, I (women in general) was taught to ignore intuition and I came to the point of not being able to trust myself. This is helping me find me.
You should never doubt your intuition... and when you doubt there is one easy way to restore that. Given your religious background in Genisis the High Priest Aaron wore a breastplate with 12 stones or gemstone set into it. He would at times pray to God and place two smooth stones of similar size and feel but different color into the plate close to his heart and as I understand it the one would suggest and affirmative and the other negative. Honestly I cannot tell you where I learned this from but I will search the verse referenceing the breastplate with the 12 gemstones representing the 12 tribes of Israel and place it here if I remember. You can do the same with two stones that feel the same into your pocket. To test your intuition. JAHNAVI Singh it depends on you and if the shops are open in ur neighborhood. Up to you. 💕just call ur local store who sells tarot decks to see when u can purchase. If u buy online just Sage ur tarot cards. Open the case, hold the deck of cards and take ur burning sage and go in a circular motion around the front/back/sides and edges of the tarot deck. I know this is specific but as u start bonding and getting better at tarot reading, how u sage depends on what ur intuitive abilities tell you to do. 🤗🦋 Sage clears/cleanses any old/negative energy from the tarot cards of a previous reading you did or a previous owner who owned them including store bought. After saging, my cards are weightless afterwards. Hoped this helped.

I am SO grateful the universe brought me here because my brain works differently with an ADHD & OCD diagnosis (therapy/meds do only so much) but the juxtaposition of the mailbox and the running guy made it finally “click into place” for me. In the year & a half I’ve been reading tarot, I keep getting great feedback from the readings I’ve done for tons of people/friends/some strangers & it’s an unbelievable feeling to hear that a life decision was made based on my interpretation of their reading & that it helped them in a tangible way. but it’s exhausting for me to actually harness and USE my intuition when my brain is desperate to get in the way. In a people context, however, this is my strength - reading the energy of a place, or a person, picking up on people hiding their feelings etc. is effortless for me. By far best tarot reading tutorial, with clear examples that explain how to intuitively read figures and position of cards. Being practical is always the best for beginners, letting the imagination run to not be stuck with remembering definitions and fixed meanings.

I definitely can see how doing a reading on someone you may know personally may be less accurate, maybe a little guided & redirecting the answer in a bias kind of way. It makes sense it can tend to be forced.

Nothing happens by accident. I stumbled on your video. I love the way you expressed how to tune in to the messages by looking at the pictures. I started doing this years ago. I saw a medium who told me I would be doing what she does. Imagine my surprise 20 plus years later and what she said came true. The cards never lie people do. Many facts were learned over this time. After shuffling decks that whole time I started having higher intuition. I felt and saw where bad things will happen. I got a little scared. I now have been blessed with seeing visions good and bad and using my abilities as a full blown medium to locate missing persons. Just like the medium had told me. It is only a matter of time now when I will not be much of a secret anymore. I plan to put my head down and work even harder. I see you taking this to a whole other level. I remember doing a reading on a friend during school lunch at the age of 13 using playing cards. I realized later that cards are a medium tool but the energy comes from your clients. I have had no training whatsoever 😂 I just had a “pull” towards it. I call it a pull because it calls me to it.

If you get the elements first off, if won't be as bad. mind-knowledge(swords)/desire-confidence-ambitions(wands)/heart-emotions-(cups)/materialistic-nature-prosperity-security(pentacles) these are the main basics- for each set of elements/suits. If you can remember these your basically set to read.

My first ever official reading I have a fly away that made me cry because of how hopeful my situation was... I'm now in ED recovery which I think is really cool. I think it knew!
I do mine different. I use the Celtic cross method. First I cut the cards in half, flip them to opposite sides, and shuffle. I repeat that seven times. Then ask the question. Afterwards, I spread the tarot and think of one number out of ten and see which card fits that number. So if I think of the number two, I see which card feels two. I do this until I have ten cards. I love this method and it never fails.

When I first started I really shot myself in the foot by thinking I needed to get the literal written definition memorized. I was just repeating the few definitions I knew and having to literally look through the book during readings. As soon as I started not worrying about it and doing it intuitively it made it so much more natural and personal.

Thank you for this! I completely agree with you. The traditional way tends to lean a lot into the "Textbook" meanings of the cards. Trusting and letting our Intuition guide us, and finding the story, helps us to read with our hearts, and that always gives insights to the questions we're asking.

The way Tarot relies so much on intuition is the exact reason why I'm trying to learn. Coming from evangelical, patriarchal background, I (women in general) was taught to ignore intuition and I came to the point of not being able to trust myself. This is helping me find me.
You should never doubt your intuition... and when you doubt there is one easy way to restore that. Given your religious background in Genisis the High Priest Aaron wore a breastplate with 12 stones or gemstone set into it. He would at times pray to God and place two smooth stones of similar size and feel but different color into the plate close to his heart and as I understand it the one would suggest and affirmative and the other negative. Honestly I cannot tell you where I learned this from but I will search the verse referenceing the breastplate with the 12 gemstones representing the 12 tribes of Israel and place it here if I remember. You can do the same with two stones that feel the same into your pocket. To test your intuition. But I can put money on that you can trust your intuition always.

JAHNAVI Singh it depends on you and if the shops are open in ur neighborhood. Up to you. 💕just call ur local store who sells tarot decks to see when u can purchase. If u buy online just Sage ur tarot cards. Open the case, hold the deck of cards and take ur burning sage and go in a circular motion around the front/back/sides and edges of the tarot deck. I know this is specific but as u start bonding and getting better at tarot reading, how u sage depends on what ur intuitive abilities tell you to do. 🤗🦋 Sage clears/cleanses any old/negative energy from the tarot cards of a previous reading you did or a previous owner who owned them including store bought. After saging, my cards are weightless afterwards. Hoped this helped.

I am SO grateful the universe brought me here because my brain works differently with an ADHD & OCD diagnosis (therapy/meds do only so much) but the juxtaposition of the mailbox and the running guy made it finally “click into place” for me. In the year & a half I’ve been reading tarot, I keep getting great feedback from the readings I’ve done for tons of people/friends/some strangers & it’s an unbelievable feeling to hear that a life decision was made based on my interpretation of their reading & that it helped them in a tangible way. but it’s exhausting for me to actually harness and USE my intuition when my brain is desperate to get in the way. In a people context, however, this is my strength - reading the energy of a place, or a person, picking up on people hiding their feelings etc. is effortless for me. Nothing happens by accident. I stumbled on your video. I love the way you expressed how to tune in to the messages by looking at the pictures. I started doing this years ago. I saw a medium who told me I would be doing what she does. Imagine my surprise 20 plus years later and what she said came true. The cards never lie people do. Many facts were learned over this time. After shuffling decks that whole time I started having higher intuition. I felt and saw where bad things will happen. I got a little scared. I now have been blessed with seeing visions good and bad and using my abilities as a full blown medium to locate missing persons. Just like the medium had told me. It is only a matter of time now when I will not be much of a secret anymore. I plan to put my head down and work even harder.

Recently, I have a feeling of getting tarot cards, however, after watching different videos on youtube, I became scared of them. Was thinking if you can address certain 'Dos and Dont's' or myths (e.g it brings negative things) when using tarot cards (if there are any)!!:)

It has been over a year. When are you gonna do the following parts? GUURRRLLLL we need it!
I do mine different. I use the Celtic cross method. First I cut the cards in half, flip them to opposite sides, and shuffle. I repeat that seven times. Then ask the question. Afterwards, I spread the tarot and think of one number out of ten and see which card fits that number. So if I think of the number two, I see which card feels two. I do this until I have ten cards. I love this method and it never fails.

When I first started I really shot myself in the foot by thinking I needed to get the literal written definition memorized. I was just repeating the few definitions I knew and having to literally look through the book during readings. As soon as I started not worrying about it and doing it intuitively it made it so much more natural and personal.
So first know the meaning of each card then when you’re doing your readings, speak from what you know letting it flow and resonate with you?

Thank you for this! I completely agree with you. The traditional way tends to lean a lot into the "Textbook" meanings of the cards. Trusting and letting our Intuition guide us, and finding the story, helps us to read with our hearts, and that always gives insights to the questions we're asking.
