You can definitely buy your own. You don’t have to actually be gifted your first deck. The decks I’ve been gifted have actually been my least favorite/used decks and I don’t get clear readings from.
I've been reading tarot for well over a decade and you do NOT have to be gifted your first deck and I wish people would stop saying that. My suggestion is to just look at different decks and see what you are most drawn to in terms of the pictures on the cards. I can tell you that there are some decks that I don't mesh well with and don't like the pictures, so I only purchase what I vibe with.
I haven't finished the whole card 2 part but can I just say... thank you. I feel so validated. I'm going through it right now. My entire original plan was shattered by these circumstances I found myself in, out of my control. Because of that, I had to change my entire life plan and I've finally decided I'm going to become a content creator and open up a Fansly. And I've been so hesitant about even starting it because it's so out of my usual. Pile 3 and 4 crazy accurate it may not mean anything to others but i just got into a relationship on October 30th in real life and like in GTA RP we met and we are having our wedding in the game in December on the 6th. and he has helped me so much mentally and helped me heal through some traumas from past relationships. and i feel like he's helping with my worries and insecurities.
