Thanks for the video, brought back some memories of when we stayed there. My wife keeps a log and here is the entry: “28/08/2000. Stayed the night at CC site at Berwick. Miserable looking place in the middle of a council estate. Walked around the town, went in one pub, only bar open and was served warm (white) wine. Went back to van and looked at roof tops, with the sea beyond. Cost £8.80.” We didn’t stick around, but maybe we should have given it a fairer chance! 40 odd quid a night now, they’re taking the mickey! 😄
Another fantastic video. I used to make pea n ham stotties when I worked at a bakers in County Durham near Newcastle. Their stotties were like bread buns and really nice.
Thank you both for giving our town exposure, even though you may not think it, it helps a lot of the businesses you've mentioned throughout! Next time you're back in town, give us a DM and we can give you many more recommendations! You may have missed it but there's a microbrewery down in Spittal! Have a wonderful trip!
Great video as usual. I wish I had known you were coming to Berwick, would have suggested some things for you to check out. You just scratched the surface of our lovely town. Enjoy Scotland!
That was our 1st stop Berwick-upon-Tweed we wild camped under bridge other side of town, just further down from that cafe, very quiet only 5 mins walk across bridge to a Pub for a pint 🍺 We carried enough water to last us. We did 8 wild camps around the highlands, and NC500 ended up in Lake District on our 9th night near Grange over Sands, then home in Midlands 👌 Great vlog enjoy your banter, as I'm a joker at heart ❤️ Thanku Sam & Jean xx
We ended our trip around Scotland at the Berwick-upon-Tweed site. We arrived late afternoon as we got delayed by an accident. As a result we had the choice of 2 pitches, both of which were rather tight and very close to the main London to Edinburgh rail line. I'm of the opinion that if we're all paying the same over the top prices, every single pitch should be of an acceptable standard. I can honestly say that in 8 years of motorhoming that was the worst pitch we've ever had. I never thought I'd ever say that about a Caravan Club site as generally they're of a good standard if overpriced. I'm glad to have only stayed one night. Thanks for showing us around Spittal and Berwick-upon-Tweed as I'm certain that we'll not be back on that site. Just found your channel and have subscribed 👍👍

Certainly room for improvement at that C&M clubsite. Agree with your comments Andy as the charges are high. We are wanting to do a Northern coastal tour in September.
I love your films you two, what beautiful, lucky little dogs! Thanks so much for including Betty last week, she is so vain, its gone to her head.... now demands a new plant pot!
Loved the video, have to be honest we are members of both clubs, but up to now haven’t stayed at one, as found better & cheaper elsewhere, so not sure if we will renew next year. Claire I don’t know if you’ve seen the front puppy/dog holders, I liked ours because it gave me the freedom of my arms, Molly (our dog) had a better view & seemed more comfortable, wasn’t expensive. 🤔
Hi Liz, How are you? We had a great time but pricy for what it was really. The good news is Dora has now had all her jabs so is walking….. 👍👍🐾🐾 Have a great day
Great vlog but, how much!!!!? I finished with both camping clubs years ago got fed up of paying a yearly premium and high prices for sites no better than privately owned ones in the same area especially when many times I couldn't even book a pitch. Just checked Berwick and the first available pitch is 26th April.
Hi. Interesting that the next available pitch is 26 April, around 15 pitches were coned off and not available, they must be losing money?!?! Thanks for watching 👍😀
Small tip for midges, pamper baby wipes, they do work and they also smell nice. We used them when up north , I think they are better than smidge that you buy in some shops. We don’t use the CMC so much now due to their price rises and are inclined to us Pitch up as they have plenty of site and they give you good and bad reviews and the pricing is very reasonable in comparison with the two other CCC & CMC. Continue to have happy trips.
Hi, i live in berwick. I really enjoyed your video, just to let you know all that timber on the dock has been getting exported, and a lot of that is from the damage of storm arwin, and as a retired railway man all the freight trains are getting diverted from the west coast becauce of engineering work but thank you for sharing your thoughts of berwick
We loved Berwick and will return. We enjoyed the beaches and walking around the castle walls and ramparts. You are lucky to live there ❤️ Thanks for watching
Great vlog, we did Berwick a number of years back, lovely place but like you say the site has issues, not easy to manoeuvre round with a big caravan, I think in general the upkeep on lots of club sites has dropped, they all used to be immaculate.
The opening shot of the drone sweeping down the chimney......it made me go cross-eyed. Thanks for that. ( It totally ruined the effect of my pole dance routine for the over 80's club.).
Hi Andy and Claire 👋 just us 2saying hi 👋 thanks for sharing this video update 👋 we like Berwick. But not that site./ too many trains.for us . Den and sue 👍👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🚌🚌🚌

We stayed at Hillhead Torquay site for the Easter Weekend and had the same issues with the electrics.. The staff stated no one had been on the pitch since January so due to the heavy rain and no one using it the water gathered on the switches.
Your better than us,first a train like that, we would have been off, however, I do think the 2 large camping organisations are well behind. We have been on 1 over Easter then travelled to another for a week in Scotland and both sites are looking very tired. The staff where great but the organisations need to start spending some of the money they are accumulating on the sites over winter when there is no one there. Private sites are streets ahead and invest in their infrastructure, WiFi, coffee shops etc. it’s such a shame the bigger organisations don’t think that’s important? Gary and Kate

We stayed there a few times, love the town and the music scene.. But come on guys letting down us Barnsley folk, we do have a reputation to maintain. We’ve just got back from a 4 day Easter rally, for £11 per night, 4 days for the price of 1 with CAMC, and included with that price was a buffet and 2 nights live entertainment. A short bus ride into Beverley for the Saturday market, and that’s the sort of value for money we Barnsleyites expect. Great video as always.
Yes CCC club South Yorkshire DA, usually £8 to £12 and always near a town, next meet is Ferry Boat Farm, Mexborough! And a short bus ride to Barnsley for an afternoon out. LOL
Nice one you two another great episode I’ve never heard anyone so pleased to see driftwood Andy I bet Claire was thinking iam being told about driftwood by a 6ft plank only kidding Andy I wonder how many got the Heidi blowing a seal gag🤣🤣👍🏻
Hi you two , we stopped at Elm Bank ( static caravan site ) the sunrises were amazing , some places were a bit run down but quite liked Berwick . St Abbs 10 miles further north , beautiful and lovely cafe on the harbour. Lowry paintings , Andrew , blimey could be better , Claire’s response it’s crap 🤣🤣🤣 and I’m not northern but we always say see ya later when normally you’ll probably never see them again , ever !! 😆
Yes , that would be nice , but hardly manage to get out and about much like we used to these days with human ailments, dog situation and poxy work ( I hate work , rather retire and travel around Scotland😊) Hope you enjoy your latest trip . Keep making people laugh !! X
Berwick-upon-Tweed very run down town full of charity shops. We ended up stuck in the corner on the dead end along the bottom as there werent many pitches left. If you are lucky you can see dolphins in the sea off the coast. Apparently its a popular site.
We visited Buxton CMC site over Easter and had our motorhome 240v electrics trip out 2 nights running. Pretty sure it was something up with the electric supply as it didn’t happen during the day or the last night on site! 🤷🏼♂️
@@Stchristopherofatlantis it’s a nice site with some lovely walks close by. Bit of a trek into Buxton, but worth the walk (dog friendly taxi back to site £7). Weather could have been better, but that’s the Peak District for you this time of year 😣
Very strange seeing places we visited last year in Berwick. Agree lots to see and the coffee shop had excellent hot chocolate. We got a Northumberland parking timer that on a lot of carparks across the county lets you have a few hours for free.
Very nice lady in the visitors centre told us about it. Was £1 I think and no expiry date. You could also get them from dispensers on the street. You just have to check the restrictions on each car park as it varies. @@Stchristopherofatlantis
Next time you go to Berwick guys stay at East Ord Holiday Park, fantastic site and just 5 mins walk to Tesco’s and 15 walk into Berwick. Places to eat Browns and Limoncello’s (still watching the vid so not sure if you went there yet)
@@Stchristopherofatlantis No Bridlington(originally Sheffield and Leeds) but we often go to Berwick for Christmas and New Year and stay at East Ord. Get the train to Edinburgh for the day for a wander around. Love touring the North East, loads of great places to visit.
Dang it those trains are close - did you have to buy a ticket to stay on the site? 🙂We stayed at a CL over the weekend and the reviews said there was a lot of road noise - I only went and had the best two nights sleep for months and I'm a VERY light sleeper. Not had a stone in my shoe but I've been stoned in my shoe! Thetford sealant... Use it on the window rubbers as well and they won't perish.

One day visiting friends, I accidentally smeared vegemite on my face after eating a sandwich. At the time I was trying to tell them they had run out of toilet paper. Absolute silence. My wife however, whispered in my ear and steered me out the room at the same time, to go and wipe my face. Best thing is, you finally met a guy who takes the piss more than you do.
@@Stchristopherofatlantis we’re great, thank you, loving the humour and Berwick is fab, the site is tired but at least the wardens have got better, they used to be very rude. Coming from Leeds I didn’t take too kindly to his version of rude, he wasn’t rude again 🤣🤣 but that was 18 years ago or so.
Another chuckle vision special with us laughing all the way through! Love the leaky loo box bit although it did put me off my gravy for a while 🤢💩 and just one little bit that's not a criticism but an observation: Could you please not get so "swingy" with your camera/phone when your walking about (keep it smooth - like you northerners) as us southern softies get a bit sea-sick trying to keep up!! 🤣🤣 Finally loving Dora (and Pabbers) as she's so cute and she almost got your sausage... Yes CCC club South Yorkshire DA, usually £8 to £12 and always near a town, next meet is Ferry Boat Farm, Mexborough! And a short bus ride to Barnsley for an afternoon out. LOL
How are you guys?
Nice one you two another great episode I’ve never heard anyone so pleased to see driftwood Andy I bet Claire was thinking iam being told about driftwood by a 6ft plank only kidding Andy I wonder how many got the Heidi blowing a seal gag🤣🤣👍🏻
@sonofscotland67 Andy says 6 ft 4 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 How are you?
Hi you two , we stopped at Elm Bank ( static caravan site ) the sunrises were amazing , some places were a bit run down but quite liked Berwick . St Abbs 10 miles further north , beautiful and lovely cafe on the harbour. Lowry paintings , Andrew , blimey could be better , Claire’s response it’s crap 🤣🤣🤣 and I’m not northern but we always say see ya later when normally you’ll probably never see them again , ever !! 😆
Hi. How are you? Will look that site up. Glad you laughed at our video.
See ya later (hopefully, we actually do!!!)
Hi. Our pitch was on a dead end too but very peaceful!!
We didn’t see many charity shops and quite enjoyed it. Beach was fab
Thanks for watching 👍☀️🚐
@@Stchristopherofatlantis your video was very good and I realised how much we missed but only stayed a few days after our trip to Scotland.
Great vlog, shame about the site. You need to go back one day & let little Dora explore the beach with Pablo. Thanks for the laughs again.😂❤
Hi. Thanks for watching our video 👋👋👍👍😎😎
We visited Buxton CMC site over Easter and had our motorhome 240v electrics trip out 2 nights running. Pretty sure it was something up with the electric supply as it didn’t happen during the day or the last night on site! 🤷🏼♂️
Hi. We haven’t been to the Buxton site yet. Did you enjoy?
@@Stchristopherofatlantis it’s a nice site with some lovely walks close by. Bit of a trek into Buxton, but worth the walk (dog friendly taxi back to site £7). Weather could have been better, but that’s the Peak District for you this time of year 😣
We will take a look at this
I think Andy's fascination with driftwood has Claire questioning her life choices. He pulled it back with his big chimney observation though😅
Can you read minds? 😂😂😂
Very strange seeing places we visited last year in Berwick. Agree lots to see and the coffee shop had excellent hot chocolate. We got a Northumberland parking timer that on a lot of carparks across the county lets you have a few hours for free.
Hi. We haven’t heard of the car park timer! Sounds good to us!
Thanks for watching our video 👍
Very nice lady in the visitors centre told us about it. Was £1 I think and no expiry date. You could also get them from dispensers on the street. You just have to check the restrictions on each car park as it varies. @@Stchristopherofatlantis
Ama6,ing spaces,it was once a old toilet block for the public.someone bought it converted it to a small h9me..its really nice inside
Hi. We said we will watch the episode, it had a lovely location right on the walls
Berwick cockles are sweets. My sister used to go out with somebody from Berwick and she always brought back some cockles in an oval tartan tin
Yes!!! I had never heard of them
Thanks for watching our videos 👍👍
Why do you call pitches plots? Never heard that used before.
Not too sure where this came from… has become a terrible habit!
Thanks for watching 👍
Next time you go to Berwick guys stay at East Ord Holiday Park, fantastic site and just 5 mins walk to Tesco’s and 15 walk into Berwick. Places to eat Browns and Limoncello’s (still watching the vid so not sure if you went there yet)
Hi. Thanks for this. We ate in Limoncellos and it was delicious.
Are you guys from Berwick?
@@Stchristopherofatlantis No Bridlington(originally Sheffield and Leeds) but we often go to Berwick for Christmas and New Year and stay at East Ord. Get the train to Edinburgh for the day for a wander around. Love touring the North East, loads of great places to visit.
Glorious Sheffield my home town! Hope to bump into you on the road 🚐
@@Stchristopherofatlantis You’ll be lucky 🤣🤣 We don’t often stop at CAMC sites, way too expensive. We prefer CLs
Hi. Thanks for watching. Which CL was it? Glad you slept well. Love the stoned 🤣👍🤣🤣🤣
Here you go: Green Pastures, Pitmore Lane, Lymington SO41 8LL (New Forest)@@Stchristopherofatlantis
The driftwood is coming from overseas with the tide, it gets like that after storms out at sea
👍👍
Hey,we went over the bridge,to the castle
Hope you guys enjoyed it as much as we did
That’s another one to cross off my list .. glad my next trip is Weymouth 😂
Enjoy Weymouth. Let us know if it’s any good 👍
Love Andy's Lowry appraisals
He wasnt that impressed 😆🤪
@@Stchristopherofatlantis they'd look alright on the fridge 😂

Yea glorious Barnsley !!! 👋
Can you give more prices please
Hi, not sure what you are after
Lol, I had a similar situation with my cassette having a leak. Left a trail behind me 🤢🤣 He tasted it?! Sniff it, fair enough but taste it 🤦♀️🤮
It was a terrible moment for everyone 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
🤣@@Stchristopherofatlantis
Stayed there last summer it was ok. Bit expensive.
We agree 👍👍
Is the somert wrong wit dug ? Cannit not wark ?
Hi. Dora hasn’t had all her jabs yet so cannot go on the ground. Next week she can 👍👍👍
You need a cuteness alert for Dora 😊
She is very cheeky! 🐾
I love this site , visited it loads of time . train line never bothered us but the cat wasn't shore until she got use to it.😮
Hi. We enjoyed our visit. Thanks for watching and have a great day
Good afternoon 🎉❤
Hi April. How are you?
@Stchristopherofatlantis getting closer to leaving on our trip. It has been a crazy month of March .. have a wonderful night! 😊
@aprildixon-ff1bc enjoy your trip xx
Hello what breed of dog is Dora she is gorgeous
Hi. She is a Maltipoo, a very cheeky one 🐾
@@Stchristopherofatlantis i could put up with the cheek because of that little face. Sweet
you guys are mad... I love it.
We like to read this 👍👍👍👍
One day visiting friends, I accidentally smeared vegemite on my face after eating a sandwich. At the time I was trying to tell them they had run out of toilet paper. Absolute silence. My wife however, whispered in my ear and steered me out the room at the same time, to go and wipe my face. Best thing is, you finally met a guy who takes the piss more than you do.
These things happen……
A great vlog and entertaining like they used to be 😂
Hi. Delighted to read this. How are you guys?
We loved Berwick
@@Stchristopherofatlantis we’re great, thank you, loving the humour and Berwick is fab, the site is tired but at least the wardens have got better, they used to be very rude. Coming from Leeds I didn’t take too kindly to his version of rude, he wasn’t rude again 🤣🤣 but that was 18 years ago or so.
That breakfast looks spot on
It was a blinder !!
Your weekend looked fabulous
Windows screensaver 🤣 🤣 🤣... You're videos always make me giggle... 👏👏😄
Keep giggling 👍👍👍🤣🤣🤣
when are you going to cornwall or abroad
Good question. Cornwall not sure but possibly abroad late summer. Ooooosh
Love the motorhome guys.
Thanks we love it too. You got a van?
Windows screen saver :-) Brilliant.
Or Teletubbies! 🤣
I know what you mean when you say "see you later" i do the same, my family are from Sheffield x
Thanks for your comment
See you later 👋👋👋👋
Another chuckle vision special with us laughing all the way through! Love the leaky loo box bit although it did put me off my gravy for a while 🤢💩 and just one little bit that's not a criticism but an observation: Could you please not get so "swingy" with your camera/phone when your walking about (keep it smooth - like you northerners) as us southern softies get a bit sea-sick trying to keep up!! 🤣🤣 Finally loving Dora (and Pabbers) as she's so cute and she almost got your sausage... Andy! Can't wait for her to be walking about....take care guys, Andy & Lyn.
Hi Andy and Lyn,
Oooooo we love gravy!!!
Glad you mentioned this as we are aware we are too swingy so trying to stop that!! Watch this space 👍
Have a fantastic week and thanks for watching us x
Hi, no worries and have a great week yourselves! See ya in ur next vlog...👍@@Stchristopherofatlantis
Great video of Berwick , often go to Eyemouth and Dunbar then up to north Berwick , love Dora which was my nana name and she was a hand full, 😂😂
Your Nana had a fantastic name and sounds great!! We will be heading back to Northumberland 👍👍☀️
Max length of dog lead on CMC & C&C sites is 2 meters
Must have missed that memo whilst trying to measure the distance of the two white posts I had to park in between. I was totally shocked to see that they were 7cm wider than regulation and will be bringing this up at the next AGM 😂
Stone in your shoe best contraceptive going (makes you limp) Dora is in for a big surprise when she has to walk everywhere
She will be walking next week 😀😀
She almost had Andrews breakfast
Andy, you seem to have a wood fixation, is this a log vlog?
😎
This is funny 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I wish I was as funny as you two, please tell me you are like this all the time. How the hell do you keep it up?@@Stchristopherofatlantis
Yeah this is our life 🤣🤣👍👍😎😎
Ey op your 2,great vlog guys 👍👍🤣
Hi Andy. Glad you liked it, hope it made you laugh 😆
I always say see you later. Maybe later today, maybe later this week, maybe later in our lives.
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Hi this is the funniest video of you I've seen they are usually boring lol the Heidi clum joke is funny as 😅😅😅😅😅
Glad you liked it. We have more of the same on its way 👍😊
It’s a whole new meaning to “taking the piss” haha😂
🤣🤣🤣😁
WHERE DOES ALL THE DRIFTWOOD COME FROM, IT COMES DOWN THE RIVER TWEED WHEN IT IS IN FLOOD, ABOUT HALF A MILE OUT TO SEA THE WATER TURNS BROWN,
👍👍
tried the madri lager 4/6% bit tasteless and weak shame they dont sell the pilsner one in england bit stronger and no sugar so good for diabetics aha
We love a good Madri, just started on the Cruzcampo now 👍🍺
Thanks for watching
Dora looks so much our little Nancy.
Dora is a Maltipoo, what is Nancy?
