This is a Lenovo Thinkpad T430 that won't start and finger print feature keeps blinking and flashing.
The issue is a keyboard failure, and to fix it you will have to replace the keyboard.

Thanks, this was a great help. I had replaced the keyboard due to a damaged key, but never thought the new keyboard could be a problem. I have replaced back to the old keyboard, and it worked again.
man you're a money saver. I was about to bring my t430s to the repair shop. I just open the keyword like you showed and cleaned it a bit and then boom! fixed. Thanks for the help man!

You are a good man thanks , but the Question. is : Does this blinking always mean that the keyboard has a malfunction, or could it mean a malfunction somewhere else?
If the machine won't turn on and the fingerprint is flashing,yes that's the case✌️
I have the same issue, but I'm not sure that it was the keyboard or the other things, because in my t430 there is no finger print indicator, how can I know that it was a keyboard issue? Thanks

@@LightOverdoZI see a code. The battery indicator blinks orange two time and yellow one time
@@thameemansaris6179 remove the battery and plug the laptop directly,if it works normally that means your battery has an issue and needs to be replaced.

You might be able to replace the screen, if you can an IPS one on Amazon or Newegg.
but lenovo thinkpad t430 does not have fingerprint scanner how your laptop have that

I tried to replace my keyboard and NOW the computer won't turn on. It tries to and then abruptly stops. I thought I did something wrong, so I reinstalled it several times and it still won't turn on.

My Lenovo Thinkpad 430s has some issue. If I press the power button light near camera blinks, green light around the power button comes.. But laptop doesn't turn on. What should I do?
Remove all the power sources including the battery , disassemble the memory cards from ur laptop " RAM", clean them with alcohol and try it...if u are still dealing with the same problem then it may be that those RAMs needs to be replaced or the laptop's mother board ....I guess 🙏
How do you know that the keyboard is the problem?
The flashing finger print is an error code...
@@LightOverdoZ I’ve got the same problem with flashing fingerprint reader in t440s. But the keyboard is working. I can not log into my Win10 and don’t remember the password. Any idea why the fingerprint reader is blinking and doesnt work properly. Thank You so much!!
@@Krychol I will suggest using an external keyboard to enter your password, because for sure what's happening is your keyboard is faulty and that's why you are having an issue with the password, when the keyboard is faulty it starts to write different characters or the same key letter but multiple times. Peace

@@LightOverdoZ I have the t430 but I'm going to buy the 420 just for the name. And the keyboard, of course. Btw, I have the t430 i5 and t530 i7, just tried swapping cpu's and the t430 has black screen, no image. I put the i7 back into the 530, the cpu works but the 430 with old cpu-still black screen. Did I kill my pc? (tried removing all hardware and tested it in the other machine: cpu, ram, wifi, cmos battery-the hardware works fine)..oops?
