what makes this build better than 9/10 turbo M3 cars, he didnt run a fart cannon out the back. Keeping the twin pipes (or tips i think on this guys) makes it look that much cleaner
I guess people put a single bigger exhaust for better spool, because a shitty flow in the exhaust could be a restriction. I totally agree that twin pipes looks much better but you gotta understand why they don't put twin pipes.
That's so cool that he implemented traction control. When you first took off in the beginning of the video, it literally sounded like spark blow-out throughout the RPM's and thought this was going to be an over hyped build lol. Owner knows his stuff.
We're a day late :'( We tried our best to get this one out on time and we could've rushed it, but we wanted to make sure we were happy with the finished video. If you follow us on Facebook, Instagram, or watch Marcus' Vlog channel, you would know we were on a roadtrip all weekend filming a bunch of supercars! :D Lookout for those videos soon. Enjoy the video!!! - Marcus.
Man like his car, that's the good thing about US spec E36 M3's, single throttle body so easy to boost. Euro S50's much better from factory but individual throttle bodies make life harder for big HP numbers. Bet it skids well lol
+MONKY LONDON RB26 is also with ITB´s and boosted from the factory. I have seen one but a rb25 in his s13 with e36 m3 ITB´s and twin borg warner turbos. This was sick.
ITBs aren't really harder to boost. Yes, intake manifold is a little fancier but else than that.. Just think of turboed S54 - S38, even S14. Crazy, crazy engines
Excuse the late comment but no, ITB's require a completely different tuning structure known as Alpha-N in which you tune based solely off RPM and throttle position (not load) very difficult to tune with big boost.
Yes, The E46 is everything that you wish the E36 was. The stability, the throttle response, the Quality of interior... Everything is better but when you drive 36, it Much More Fun, it's a different feelings, Different Inspirations. you must love it to understand ))
That why i love the m5x and s5x engines due to the linear power curve that they both share. I use to own an e36 with the m50 and it was always a blast to drive on backroads, the highway, or even basic traffic.
this is one of the best car videos I've watched recently, awesome car, great video production, knowledgeable owner who mentions all the important stuff with no waffle, and well presented.
Love the car! He spoke about clunks from the rear which is sometimes a body crack where the rear subframe connects, but more often its the rear upper shock mounts that will create a similar sound. You can pull back the carpet in the trunk to access. Just putting it out there so people know what to look for.
This is a wonderful video. So nice that it's no nonsense and the car was actually reviewed. I have an e36 M3, and it's just a dream to drive. Incredible chassis that is perfectly balanced.
I've bee with your channel from the beginning and I gotta say the quality of cars and production has gone way up. Keep up the good work guys, this channel is really going places!
I get what you're saying re the body kit for wider rubber but I LOVE how close to stock your car looks aside from the wing. Without the wing you could drive it down the road just about anywhere and almost nobody would know that they had just been menaced by a friggin MONSTER! Nice work mate. Oh BTW, smart move doing the brakes. Why is it so many people just don't get how vital brakes and rubber are to a cars overall performance? Smart.
Love m3s and the m/s50 engines are so easy to turbo but you rarely see the s50 turboed as its so solid already. So respect to this guy for doing it. Definitely worth the money.
Yeah it costs like $30,000 to build and tune an engine like that to be reliable. Easy to spend another 10k on MCS adjustable coilovers and 5k+ on a big brake setup. The donor motor, gearbox and shell are cheap. Proper diff is $3500. Pissin through money fast.
Love your work and what a car! Too bad we will never see anything like it in Switzerland. Our road laws make this kind of build absolutely impossible unfortunately :-( Keep it up!
+Ben salter It definitely won't appeal to everyone, but it is a functional BMW factory wing(or replica). They look better painted imo, but overall this car looks great.
Beautiful car. Having both Turbo and Supercharged, not sure why people always prefer turbo. They always say, well it produces more HP. On the tracks that doesn't cut it.
That’s a solid bloke who definitely knows what he’s talking about. Not even considering his awesome car, which is a proper street build imo. It’s like a stock M3 on super steroids
Never had one of your vids where I stop it half way through and I can't say that a lot about other car reviewers, keep it up! And love the fact you're from Canada to, eh Canada 🇨🇦
this is an awesome video well done! that car is insane and what i like about it is the owner knows his car through and through not like that guy with the merc
Awsome car bro, congrats. I respect you keeping the exterior slightly tuned (factory M3), but I would replace the headlights with newer. Usually I hate when they put crystal headlights and taillights on some cars trying to make them look more modern, but here it will be nice. At least put the original headlights, but with the white turn blinker signals, instead of the orange US version. There are many stock beemers with light turn signal blinkers in the original headlights.
God damn you guys always have my taste in cars to show off :) In fact i also got a e36 blue coupe (328 :( ), a 300zx and a e46.. you've covered them all. Cheers! Also, thanks for doing engine bay shots, a lot of channels overlook that!
Bro, would love to drive your car. It is the most awesome turbo E36 i saw in my life. BTW the most awesome E36 i saw had the E38 V12 in it. The sound of this beast follows me in my dreams until today. :)
This is a great video! I enjoyed everything about it. I can't wait for you guys to get a 2001-2002 Audi S4 BiTurbo 6MT car on there that has all the kinks worked out.
+turbokid4 R32 wasn't a swap :p The GTR came with an RB26 as standard. As for a comparison between the two, i've gotta go with the Skyline at the end of the day.. I did have quite a bit more time behind the wheel of the R32 GTR though so that could have something to do with it. It's really close though, this boosted M3 is an absolute animal.. sounded like it wanted to kill me the whole time.
+Roads Untraveled ohh ok. I wanted to know because I have a 97 4 door m3 that am building for boost. but am not gonna like that r32 you drove sounds so sick under boost.
Holy shit thanks for the advice bro. Was just deciding whether or not to buy an e36 328i. Was leaning against it due to the amount of rust despite the good mods on the car. Mods can be done again the rust can't be fixed for 10K I don't think.
I believe mine makes just under 200. And that's the same engine just turbo on it. That amount of horsepower with a turbo is amazing. Almost 3 time the power of a stock engine.
Ive followed you since 5000 subs and i love this channel has grown its like what matt ferah does but more detailed for the persons car hope you come hawaii one time we got cars here
I'm convinced this is the most professional, yet underrated automotive channel on youtube
+christians131 Thank you! We really appreciate it
@@RoadsUntraveled Also in my home province!!
So refreshing seeing the brakes being used and mentioned, not just all about power!
+evo meekz Oh, it is if you want to have a one dimensional build.
+evo meekz
haha ikr
+evo meekz LMFAO
it's funny they mention brakes on an M. any M model goes overboard on brakes. go find a caliper from an X5 M. the size of my forearm.

what makes this build better than 9/10 turbo M3 cars, he didnt run a fart cannon out the back. Keeping the twin pipes (or tips i think on this guys) makes it look that much cleaner
straight pipe still sounds the best
I guess people put a single bigger exhaust for better spool, because a shitty flow in the exhaust could be a restriction. I totally agree that twin pipes looks much better but you gotta understand why they don't put twin pipes.

+Roads Untraveled you should get a carthrottle account carthrottle.com
+Max V We post all our videos on Car Throttle :p Look for us!
Hey RU! Marcus!! Do you have any info on that "aftermarket" traction system? I'd like to implement this on my late 80's 911.
Hats off to the owner. It takes deep pockets to turbo M cars, but totally worth it.
No its a cheap alternative these days
Yeah the 3.2 we were given in America isn't as cool or as powerful lol. We got a completely different engine
Man like his car, that's the good thing about US spec E36 M3's, single throttle body so easy to boost. Euro S50's much better from factory but individual throttle bodies make life harder for big HP numbers. Bet it skids well lol

So True
SINGH'S BUILT A GIANT KILLER!
E36 M3 is the best M3 ever made !! keep it up
+DonateE36 What about the E46? The 2002 version has some improvements.
Yes, The E46 is everything that you wish the E36 was. The stability, the throttle response, the Quality of interior... Everything is better but when you drive 36, it Much More Fun, it's a different feelings, Different Inspirations. you must love it to understand ))
DonateE36 I've never drove a E46 nor a 36 but i heard them saying that the E46 had subframe issues and some interior problems. Is that true?
+Seleron subframe yes, interior no
Yep... and also the engines are not reliable as the E36 one´s
I'm guessing most people didn't get the specs the owner said the 1st time. This is enthusiast 101. "Hail ///M"
This guy knows his stuff. Cool guy
That why i love the m5x and s5x engines due to the linear power curve that they both share. I use to own an e36 with the m50 and it was always a blast to drive on backroads, the highway, or even basic traffic.
This video is what convinced me to buy an e36 m3!
ha ha im subbed to u bcuz ur e36 jus now seeing this vid
this is one of the best car videos I've watched recently, awesome car, great video production, knowledgeable owner who mentions all the important stuff with no waffle, and well presented.
This is why i love E36 ///M😍😍
And that LTW spoiler GOD

Michael Kirk Sowders mines in the shop because the subframe mounts tore out like he was talking about and it was making those clunking noises
657 hp out of US M3, very nice. :)
This is a wonderful video. So nice that it's no nonsense and the car was actually reviewed.
I have an e36 M3, and it's just a dream to drive. Incredible chassis that is perfectly balanced.
Thumbs up to the owner for his aesthetics concerning the appearance of the car!!That's the correct way to modify a car!! ;)
I love this channel so much! Everything is done so professionally done imo. KEEP IT UP
What a beastly M3!
Great car, good to see the owner didn't cut corners on the build.
Watched this video so many times over the years and can’t get enough. I have an estoril coupe as well pushing 525whp at 17psi on 93.
A very clean looking car. Nice
Thumbs up for not exagerating with the exterior mods. I love sleeper cars
Honestly I think this guy built the best bmw I've seen in years!!
I've bee with your channel from the beginning and I gotta say the quality of cars and production has gone way up. Keep up the good work guys, this channel is really going places!

great car though. perfectly built
Man I'd love to drift that Zimmer

sorry mate this channel is better than yours because we see more of the owners faces than the host.
+MONKY LONDON
You gotta find one and hook up a video.

yes how much of his videos have you watched? 1?
and do you watch them whilst trying to juggle gold fish?

+Louis Bou S52 in the 97
Of course my mistake, I am from the uk and all the me e36s had either s50b30 or s50b32. Of course the US and Canadian models got the s52b32.
+Louis Bou Yea we got ripped off hard with the S52. S50 is the better engine all day.
Seems like a lot of m powered cars have rated down versions in the us.
Louis Bou
Mainly because of pressure to meet emissions requirements
That clutch looked heavy af hahah, very nice video keep it up
...damn...wish my dad owned a few national hotel chains...

Cleanest E36 M3 build I've seen on youtube. GJ to the owner and great review!

I like you’re channel man, definitely underrated

thanks for another great video.
One of the best Turbos on the market and a good engine build, nothing moar to ask for =)
Love your videos please keep it up!
Bro you have a genuinely authentic artistic flare to your videos.
Awesome color, my Fiat Tipo is in the same Estoril blue, drags quite some attention.
Cheers from Brazil.

surprisingly, I like the spoiler.
