Watch these semis from all over hook to the mechanical sled and pull it down the track. This video span multiple years and multiple states. I tried to only include each puller once.

That old duce in half was cool LD465 Continental multi-fuel engine.
There were a couple trucks that looked like they could've pulled the sled right out of the park. What made them do so much better? Mainly just more horsepower?

I think the driver of the wrecker at 4:26 got his instructions mixed up....I think he thought they told him to deliver the sled down the road to the next truck/ tractor pulling event. Damn...that was one pulling s.o.b.

How many horsepower do the better trucks have here? Also, do they use normal Eaton 18 speed transmissions? What gear do most of them start out in?
The one I pulled the Mack called One More Time, is just a turbo and injection pump. We pulled in third gear low I think.
That Mack called "Big Dog" that broke its drivetrain and was towed off is probably 3500+ hp, pretty sure thats a 4 turbo truck. a lot of the Trucks in the class it runs in run a Mack transmission case with custom gears in them, only a few gears to choose from. They use a Mack trans case to build trans due to 3 countershafts instead of 2 like a Eaton.

Didn't pull very well, probably the blue oval on the grill 13:21 LTL 9000's were a sick looking truck though, and 13:56 60's autocar just cuz you never see them

That sled is a piece of shit!!!!! half the time the steering wheels are down and holding the sled up! And the hitches on the trucks are not right, they lift the front of the sled off the ground! Makes some trucks look they got a full pull when they wasnt even pulling anything! Terrible tracks too, sloped to one side causing the trucks to go way off course!
