    Outstanding and comprehensive BTS on how you approached this awesome shoot! I love how you elaborate on process of solving different problems, however, what I would love to see in a bonus episode is a take on how you handled the crop when using 4k 60 on the A7 IV. Did you shoot the entire fashion campaign in 60 fps, did you rent lenses to compensate for the crop factor, did you used your existing ones? In general what's your thought on the almost full sensor readout in 24fps versus the crop on 60fps?
    Your craft is noteworthy and your work is gorgeous! Keep up the great content brother =)

      Thank you brother! Noted for the next BTS episode! It’s my first one so I didn’t know what to fully cover lol! But to be honest, I managed really well on the 4k60 crop by just stepping away to compensate for the crop. We are on a very big farm so spacing wasn’t an issue lol!
      Yes, The client wanted everything on 60fps to get a dream like slow mo for the farm.
      I had the Sony 35mm 1.4 and the sony 85mm 1.8. I had sold both because I’m saving up for cine lenses!
      I’d say the full 24p sensor read out is quite too much on the sharpness for me. It’s nice on product shoots but with beauty shots or film, I always soften the image even in post! I like a soft looking image so the 4k60 crop was actually an okay compromise for me.

    Love the video. I’m just wondering if did you use the apsc mode?? Because I’m thinking to buy the 24mm GM and use it as 36mm as well on apsc with my A7iv?? 🙏

      Thanks!! and yes, I always use apsc mode when I can for more reach! the compression isn't the same though but almost the same with the untrained eye!

    Interesting- thanks for the tips... And yes- a zoom lens is handy in dirty environments! Were you handheld all the time?

    how did u manage the 4k 60 crop on the 35 mm?

    • @VictorLaforteza
      @VictorLaforteza  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not bad! I find it tighter than expected but with a large farm, stepping back 5-10 steps wasn't an issue!

      5600K day time outdoors is what I use most of the time. If it's almost sunset, I adjust it a little but keep it almost the same to have the warm look :)
