Very helpful review. Small quality studio cam looks like it would meet a need for fixed small cam with lots of good connectivity and quality connectors. The blue tooth auto focus or manual focus enable is really convenient.
How well would the BGH1 and the CX10 cut together? I have a BGH1 and am looking for a good run and gun capable B camera, and am strongly considering the HC-X1500 with additional top handle.
I have both cameras so I might do a test myself in the future, but I think you could get those cameras to match under the right circumstances. For example, shooting day exterior will help the CX10's small sensor. So you can open up the lens using the built in ND filters. Then you'll have to "dumb down" the BGH1 by shooting the same codec, frame rate, and in CineD mode or a similar picture profile that the CX10 is capable of. No V Log-L on the CX10. Then manually white balance each camera. There will be a depth of field difference depending on what lens you use on the BGH1, so if you want match the DoF, you'll have to stop down on the lens to maybe around f/5.6 or f/8 and then open up the CX10's lens to an f/1.8 or f/2.8.

That's what I was most concerned about, matching skin-tones etc. For the types of projects I would be using both cameras on I don't mind shooting at a lower bit-rate, also not too concerned about matching DOF. However I am a bit concerned about how well the two would cut together under normal indoors lighting? If you do a comparison test at some point that would be great, would be keen to see/hear about the results. Cheers.
