    Thank you very much for the tip of the SWIT battery, what also good to know is … this battery can also be charged by the DC socket/pole connector ! with the SWIT S-3010 charger, that costs about $25 a real money saver, and also from the SWIT brand.

      That’s a simple DC cable. On Amazon you can find cables that go from DC to DC, and it’s just a case of finding the right size. Some hardware makes it easy to find, some don’t. Google “DC port sizes” and you’ll see what I mean; there’s an outer and inner measurement, for example: [Type B: 6.0 mm OD, 2.1 mm ID] that’s “outer” and “inner” diameter.

    After watching your videos on the BGH1 here and on the Lumix channel I purchased one, but when I open the tether software and click Live view the screen that opens covers the control panel to be able to adjust the iris, shutter, WB etc. I cannot move the tether software control panel as it stays stuck in the middle of the screen. On the videos you made for Lumix I see the control panel sitting nicely next to the Live view screen. Please explain how to set the screens up properly for ease of operation, thanks

    Hey! I know I'm commenting on a video you posted a year ago, but I'm only just now considering purchasing the BGH1. Anyways I'm in need of the battery and was considering the Swit. My only concern is that BHPhoto mentions that it's incompatible with the BGH1??? They do so in the Q&A section. Anyways I just wanted your confirmation that the swit would perform well and not damage the BGH1 if I were to purchase this instead of the Panasonic ones.

    wondering if you have experienced any audio ringing in headphones when you also power your monitor from the same battery? I have a Portkeys LH5P powered through the same battery as the BGH1 and I get a high pitched ringing in my headphones when I connect to the camera headphones port. Audio is also going through the HDMI output and shutting that off doesn't fix the issue. Now there is no ringing tone that is transferred to the actual footage audio, but it's annoying nonetheless in my headphones. Have you experienced this and if so, are there any fixes?

    • @photojoseph
      @photojoseph  ปีที่แล้ว

      Interesting. You’d have to look up the power delivery of the Ethernet port; I don’t know. What does PoE+ output normally? I think a d-tap to camera DC port might be better, but it needs to be regulated, like this one: www.adorama.com/ipdteva24.html

  • @TheTechnoPilot
    @TheTechnoPilot 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hey there @PhotoJoseph, would you happen to know if the 12v input can take the 16v peak of a non-regulated V-mount, or do we need to add in regulation to 12v to not fry anything?

    • @photojoseph
      @photojoseph  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      ooh, that is not a question I know the answer to. I'm afraid you'll need to reach out to tech support for that one (assuming of course it's not in the manual). The camera itself just says 12V on the input. Perhaps it regulates it though, if it's common for V-Mount batteries to have unregulated outputs?

    • @TheTechnoPilot
      @TheTechnoPilot 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@photojoseph technically according to the manual it says use nothing but their supplied power supply into that port. So I feel like getting an honest answer is a bit more difficult. Most v-mounts send the native voltage and just have current regulation to prevent overdraw.
      I noticed you used the cable from the Wooden Camera plate into yours here, do you know if that is a 12v regulated output?

    • @photojoseph
      @photojoseph  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sounds like something a manual would say. I will see if I can find out what that cable was; it was on loan very briefly, just for that video.

    • @TheTechnoPilot
      @TheTechnoPilot 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@photojoseph the manual sadly just warns to only use their power adapter and doesn’t provide any specs. If you can find out if that was a regulated cable or the plate output (wouldn’t be to standard Lemo 2-pin spec however if the port was), that would be amazing to know!

    • @photojoseph
      @photojoseph  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are specs in the manual - they say the DC in is rated from 11.4V to 12.6V. The cable should be regulated, and must be, but of course you should check with Wooden to be 100% sure.

      There is one solution I know of for controlling the camera, although it's a bit temperamental. I haven't done a video on it because it's not ready for prime time, although I'm hoping it gets better with firmware updates, and that's the Portkeys BM5WR.
