      @@Official_David_Milzow_Music Absolutely great subtone. I don´t care how you do it but it is great! Another subject-do you have a Buescher Aristocrat Tenor?

    • @Official_David_Milzow_Music
      @Official_David_Milzow_Music  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you :-) !!! I don´t own an Aristocrat, but played several ones, they are similar to Buescher 400, maybe a little more "streamlined" in a way. Some Conn episodes coming soon!!!

    Tenor King Super. 20. Bajo mantenimiento por lo tanto bajos costos de mantenimiento .los cierres son perfectos y el sistema de palancas fuertes responde a la menor presion al cierre. Serie 349.000

    Thanks for the review could you please give some idea for the altissimo and key work? Thanks

      Oh, altissimo is really an extra-topic, I think about it! For altissimo in action check out my live- video “Where did you sleep last night, Part 2”, here on my channel.

    Thank you for reviewing vintage saxophones. I own and play several, 3 C-Melodies and 2 Tenors. Have a Martin C in silver from 1925 with an older set-up and it plays great with modern tenor mouthpiece. Bad intonation with C-Melodies, not this one! Favorite tenor is 1961 King Super Silver-Sonic. Never hand just any tech a Super 20. The octave mechanism is very touchy and time-consuming to properly set up. Once that is taken care of and key heights set you have no "dead" notes like middle E, D or C. Using a Morgan large chamber mouthpiece. I do have some trouble with fingering this horn, unlike my 1920 Martin Handcraft. LOL! Working on that.

      Thank you for your comment, I would love play a King Silver- Sonic! Is your model still with a double-socket neck? Please check out my Martin Handcraft- Stencil Video, if you like.

      @@Official_David_Milzow_Music Yes sir. Neck is double socket, solid silver with underslung register key. It's in great shape as original owner only used it 3 years. I acquired it last March. Very nice horn. Yes, I will check out your Martin stencil, thank you.

    I have a King Super 20 Tenor Circa 1943, according to the number, since 1970, a used instrument when I got it, and it is still in great shape, and blows well. Now and again, the low F, E and below do not sound correctly when playing pp , or mf. If I blow loudly all is good.

      Maybe there’s a leak or you have to check the key-height by an professional repairman to solve the problem.

    I was interested in your comments about the King Cleveland 615 I've recently been playing one that's been maintained as a players back-up horn for a long time. It's got notable resonance, intonation seems easy and is a pleasure to play. Obviously, I'd love to get on a Super 20, but why does the 615 seem like a fine horn when it was marketed as a student model?

    • @Official_David_Milzow_Music
      @Official_David_Milzow_Music  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hello Paul, thank you for your input and feedback! I guess the 615 is for sure the "simplier" built sax in comparison to a Super 20, but still a great horn for a lower budget!

    • @FCntertainr
      @FCntertainr ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm willing to bet the Cleveland horns were made by a company that King actually bought out. I think the name was actually White???? So therefore thr Cleveland has the older lower stack spatula keys instead if the levers that put the lower stack on the right of the bell instead of the direct spatula that has them on the left. The older style builds your pinkys up though lol. I had a Buescher Aristicrat.

      I played 615, then went to super 20. 615 had a great sound and intonation, but when i took s20, then i realized how limited the mechanical bits make that model (615 being the limited one). The main thing was palm key ergonomics and the width from the keys to toneholes, that was super crazy difference. BUT, 615 is still a great horn. It always comes down to the player itself anyway. Love American horns.
