I felt like you guys kind of missed the actually getting over the person part. I have had several people that i've developed strong feelings for but that weren't christians and therefore unsuitable to date. I'm still trying to get over someone that i met a few months back and dating just wasn't an option. But there are still intense feelings present, even though I was extremely clear right from the start.

I've had to pray and ask God to break the tie between the person and I continually. The feelings did go away for me.

9:50 their advice is to acknowledge the crush and tell that person how you feel to kill the fantasy but if it's someone that you know you can't date then I agree to just give it to the Lord and then let it heal like a wound and stop touching it so it can scab over❤️‍🩹

I could imagine the person that asked this question might have not been in this specific scenario you guys tackled…. just because they didn’t date doesn’t mean it’s because they never told the person they were interested lol they could’ve given someone a try in the talking phase & realized it didn’t work. that’s the “getting over” part they could be seeking counsel on.
