I've never seen a product comparison/review that was done any better than this one for ANY product. This was so thorough. Amazing. Thank you.
Thanks! Happy to hear it was helpful.
+ 1 Very impressive comparison
I bought an EGO do dry my car. I found out it also works to blow leaves and debris off the driveway.
@Todd.T @StubbyNozzleCo Does the EGO blower have any additional foam "air filter" way back/behind the hexagonal/honey-comb screen at the air inlet?
@@user-tt6hu5pq9f No. I would guess that would impact the max speed. It will suck your shirt against the hexagonal screen when it's on high if you aren't careful.
@@Todd.TI prefer to go shirtless when I’m washing my car. Suns out! Guns out! hahaha
It's a leaf blower. What a stupid comment!!
No waaaayyyyy ! f… sake !
Great video!! Was looking for a gift for my dad and you literally did the homework for me. Many thanks 🙏
This video was so incredibly well done, not only did I buy a blower to use at our shop (and now feel confident in my decision) through your amazon link, but I just placed an order for your Stubby Nozzle on there as well. Great work.
Thanks so much for the kind words and for your business!
I love your organizational skills. This video is a gem. Period
Thanks for the kind words! Yes, I'm a bit OCD when it comes to garage organization. :)
Best and most informative video I have seen on this subject. Too many other presenters appear to be influencers and do not present the information that is important. Thank you! Strangely, I like washing my cars and am always on the lookout for another toy for that toolbox.
By far man one of the best videos on this subject! Would love to like do a video like showing them blowing off an SUV like my Denali. But, you've helped me figure or narrow down my choices. Once again, thank you for the info!
Glad I could help!
Excellent product! I use the Stubby Nozzle with my EGO blower. It works great to dry off my Porche Macan. I love the soft tip to protect the paint when I accidently touch the car with the blower.
Thanks for the nice review Dave! I really appreciate it.
Like all the other comments, what a fantastic job you did. I truly appreciate the time, effort, and dedication it took to do such an in depth test, and then graph the results.
I just bought the Ryobi One +. It's amazing and so compact
Great recap and perfect amount of information.
I appreciate how clearly you explained your testing process and then gave us the results. Made the video more concise, believable, and easier to follow to the end.
Thanks for watching!
Props for making this video!
Thanks for taking the time to get these numbers!
Happy to help!
Clear and informative video. Thanks so much for your hard work!
BRAVO my man! This was the BEST test I have ever seen! Luckily I already have the Greenworks 80v blower in your test, so just need the stubby adapter... Will be ordering soon
Thanks for the kind words! I appreciate it.
I would like to see how the Flexvolt batteries as well as the Powerstack batteries change the performance on the 20v DeWalt models.
Great video. Can't wait to see an update to include the aforementioned batteries.
Excellent research - facts and figures.
Awesome and very well done review, thank you!
Thanks for doing all the work involved.
Sure thing! Let me know if you have any follow-up questions.
Great job and great data analytics skills! I’ll be using your review to buy one of these blowers knowing I’m making an informed decision thanks to you! Thank you very much 🙏
Wow , i haven’t seen any equipment test thorough like this.
Oh baby! Nicely done with the intro
Thanks!
Awesome video brother! I currently have the makita small turbo looking blower. I wanted to get the ego but after you mentioned the battery part I may go for the makita big boi with your nozzle since I have 3 batteries!
This is one of the best comparison videos I have seen. Ryobi 730 has been my choice, but I am comparing to an Ego 765 as they are the most popular for drying cars. I will be sending my viewers here for these very detailed tests. Ryobi does not last as long, but the combo deal usually comes with two 4AH batteries so the package is basically double the run time just an annoying battery change to deal with. Thanks again for the great testing and I have several of your stubby nozzles.
Thanks Keav! We appreciate it!
I just wash my own car in front of my garage so I picked up a Worx corded blower and even found a stubby nozzle for it on Amazon. Those blowers are like $60 and really push some air for cheap. No batteries to deal with either, in my experience they're never charged when you need them and they cost lot's of money. Great video by the way, lot a great info!
Agree! Only an idiot would spend $300 for something to dry their car with! And idiot and lazy people!
Just ordered the tube and the bucket stand to Hong Kong, it’s a set of gift for my detailer. He’s always working so hard and got issues with his joints so hopefully the blower won’t have him kneeing too much!
I would love to get a Stubby Nozzle for the new Dewalt DCBL777 when it comes out! I'll have to make sure to check the website often to see when you'll have those in stock.
Thanks for the awesome video and all the comparisons. Great work!
I pre-ordered the DCBL777 a few weeks ago when I first heard about it!
Great video. I use a small Ryobi blower because it's easier, and I have a ton of 18V batteries.
What a great work. Thank you 😊
Best video ever upload. Tks for sharing, now I got it clear....
Glad you found it helpful!
Thumbs up for such a comprehensive test for easily available product and of course your final practical conclusion.
Thanks for the kind words!
I have a Makita blower and after watching your well presented video I will be buying the stubby. Cheers
Excellent! Thanks for your business.
My 10yr old EGO 580 looks like it lands in the middle of the pack. Thanks so much for the test results! Maybe the Ryobi 730 is in my near future!
Cool tests. Just ordered a stubby for my Ryobi730. Looking forward to using the Ryobi730 on my car because it's pretty great on my yard 😊
You're going to love it!
How do you like the 730 and the stubby so far?
@@kirkwilson5900 the Stubby works great. Nice short nozzle is perfect for when I've washed the car and the 730 has heaps of grunt too.
@joemartnz thanks. I'm leaning towards that one since I already have other ryobi 40v tool. I like that it's quieter according to specs and reviews.
Excellent video. Ordered a stubby for a Ryovi 730, excited to do some washless drying!
Thanks for your business!
Washless?
Great video by the way 👍🏼 😊
Gee this is a top rate video. Thank you so much for such thorough testing. I love the graphics which I’ve screenshot to compare. Do you sell the short nozzles to the UK?
Thanks! All of the comparison graphs are available on my website (link in the video description). I do offer international shipping. If you’re interested in the STUBBY nozzle for EGO blowers then check out our retail partner, @YumCars, who are based in the UK.
I have the Dewalt 60V blower, and I bought your stubby nozzle. I love the way yours ome off without tools as opposed to th oem nozzle that needs a screwdriver and is very awkward to do. If you were to make a full siize nozzle with your toolless release, I would be your first ustomer.
This video is perfect and I'm surprised it didn't show up in my TH-cam search when I looked for best blower for car drying, but did show up after I looked for a snub nose on the Ryobi 730. You might want to check your statistics and tags on TH-cam, because for how high quality this video is I'm shocked to see it only has 200 views
Thanks! I just uploaded this video last night but I’ll look into your tags suggestion!
37 thousand views now after 5 months! Definitely great informative videos here 👍
The video i wanted but didn't know I needed. I know you more or less said I didn't need to buy a dedicated leaf blower . . well too late . . . I also picked up one of your Stubby Nozzles.
Kudos to a very impressive set of tests and comparison...the best out there! I just picked up the Ego 670 which comes w/ a 4ah pack...not sure if they tweaked the older 650 or if its the same unit with different marketing hype. The appealing part is Lowes has it for a limited time on sale for $229...its $217.55 if you have their card. That makes for an impressive $1.74 - $ per mph and $.35 - $ per cfm. A huge bang for the buck. Ordered your stubby nozzle yesterday and can't wait to try it...keep up the great work Brother! 👍
The EGO 670 is a great blower and will be perfect for car drying. Thanks for your STUBBY nozzle order!
EXCEPTIONAL Comparison - very scientific, and Very Appreciated - Thank you!
Based on your findings, I ended up choosing the Greenworks 730 as it was in the top 1-3 in most categories, but especially the most salient (for me): Performance: Airflow, and Air Speed, plotted against Time.
In addition, the Greenworks design appears more robust: has greater protection of the Battery and its connection to blower via a Full Enclosure/Plastic Housing.
For me, the quicker I can blow water droplets off the car in the first 5 Minutes or so, the better, especially in this summer Heat!
Ended up with a Stubby Nozzle for it, too ;) Thank you again 🙏
Thanks for the kind words and glad to hear your picked up a STUBBY nozzle for your new Greenworks blower!
Yes, I just watched the video and it seems like the green works it’s the best option! But the stubby nozzle takes down the CFM so I don’t know if it’s a good idea
@@josemadrazo3131 the Greenworks 730 is definitely a top tier blower for car drying. The increase in MPH gained by using a STUBBY nozzle is more important than the drop in CFM.
@@StubbyNozzleCo ohh ok, I thought it was more important the cfm, makes sense! I’m gonna get it at Costco! Thank you for the answer!
@@StubbyNozzleCo do you have an attachment available for the Dual battery M18 Milwaukee 600 CFM blower
This was EXTREMELY helpful... I'm a VERY detailed person who tries to do my very best to research and only purchase the best from the start. So perhaps I get some of that from being a former Apple Sales Mgr, then Operations Director, but I don't say that to sound boastful in anyway... but rather as a compliment to your level of details... LOVE it!!! This saved me from getting into a whole new EGO battery system for their minimal gain compared to just getting another Makita product (where I started off w/only buying their LTX 6.0Ah batteries). So I'm sure my run times will be pretty good, as well! 🤓 THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! 👍😇 And I will be ordering your Stubby Nozzle, and I'll need to write y'all about your BucketCaddy (that looks very interesting, but I just bought new DetailFactory blushes that only go on smaller hooks). Anyway, thank you so much again. So happy I found your company!!!
Thanks for the kind words!
@@StubbyNozzleCo You are most welcome... I joke, "that it's always easy to state the facts" (me and my "sayings" that I have being in my mid-50's now). 😇 But it was my mom that used to say, "Tony, if you think of an honest compliment, you should say it, as it just might make somebodies day." But I guess now days a person has to be careful at times. ha ha 🤣 As I'm sure my wife gets tired of my compliments to her, but there are so many nice things that come to my mind all the time. So perhaps it comes from having old parents... as my mom was 43 when she had me (and I was their one and only! 😳 And mom's "honest compliment saying" came from my grandpa (who I'd never met but was also a well loved pastor).
Well, I don't mean to give you any eye strain, but again I really respect and appreciate your detailed work.
P.S. Previously, I didn't really say where I was the Operations Director before... but it was Throttle Design Mechanics where we were blessed to work with clients like Meguiar's (before John sold to 3M), BASF, Industrial Finishes and Summit Racing to name a few... so anyway, I'm going to be sending a few notes around. See if maybe I could point a few folks your way... like being the Pacific Northwest Regional Rep that you didn't even know you had. ha ha 😂 Thanks again!!!
Thank you for making this video!
You're welcome! I hope it helped you decide which leaf blower to get.
@@StubbyNozzleCo Ryobi has a free tool when you buy their electric mower and picked the Blower too :)
Super useful video, objective comparisons and data-driven results. Awesome work!
I was disappointed to see how poorly the Milwaukee blowers performed as I already have a few of their brand tools
Thanks for compliment! Milwaukee tools are great but their blowers definitely aren't the best.
Gorgeous RS5 wow!
Thanks!
Best review ever
ik heb de ego 765 met 7.5 ah werkelijk super heb heel wat bladblazers van stilh op benzine en accu gehad maar dezeego model verslaat ze allemaal ego best from all
The Ryobi PSBLB01 18V Blower is hands down the best for car detailing and small tasks around the house.
It only has an advertised 220 CFM. That’s definitely not enough to effectively dry a vehicle.
@@StubbyNozzleCo I reviewed it and its does quite well and packs a punch for such a small form factor being only slightly bigger than a drill.. If you could use that or a Ryobi 730 then there is no comparison at all and the 730 will blow it away. It is also has a very loud and high pitched sound which is its only real downfall. It is the best compact out there though.
Perfect review merci
Great video... Already have the Ryobi 550, would love to get a stubby nozzle for it. Any progress on having that one available?
I bought the Milwaukee single battery and your Stubby for it, but still use my corded Worx Turbine 800 CFM leaf blower to dry my cars. It’s just way more powerful and faster. Wish you made a stubby for it.
That Worx blower is on my todo list! If you fill out the STUBBY nozzle request form on our website, you will be notified when it becomes available.
stubbynozzles.com/pages/stubby-nozzle-request
Great video
Congratulations
Love the stubz
Ryobi seems like a great tools on paper but when tested the last thing you want is decreased performance as the battery life dwindles..starts off strong then the performance just gets worse and worse then the battery dies, no thanks. The consistency of the Milwaukee is worth the price.
Would be great to see makita 40v xgt. Great video vary informative .
It’s on my todo list!
Ryobi has a new model of blower for car drying which is more portable for the job.
Need a stubby for my rigid 3-1 shop vac. I use the blower motor to dry off my car. More concentrated air would be excellent for detailing my cars
Please fill out the STUBBY nozzle request form on our website and I’ll add it to the product roadmap
Ridgid makes a blower and I think it is 550 CFM. Would be great to see how it compares with these blowers.
Best video I've seen in a long time!
I would like to see tests on the Makita with 2 x 18V 6.0Ah batteries and the one with 1 x 18V 6.0Ah.
I am thinking of buying one of the two as I have Makita 18V 6.0Ah batteries and fast chargers for them.
Do you ship Stubbynozzles worldwide?
Greetings from Finland.
Thank you! I just recently purchased the Makita XBU02PT 36V blower with dual 5 Ah batteries and will be testing it soon!
I have a Toro corded blower (advertised 200+mph) which, while powerful, is an ergonomic nightmare for cars. Thanks for the comparison!
Once you go cordless, you never go back!
Great video! ? Will you ever make a stubby nozzle for Craftsman leaf blowers? Currently using the v20 blower model# CMCBL7001.
Thanks! Please fill out the STUBBY nozzle request form on our website and we will notify you when a STUBBY nozzle becomes available for your blower!

Great information… I am curious why you didn’t include the Ridgid line of blowers. Do you offer stubby tips for them?
Not yet but it’s on my list
well done, great video looks like dewalt products are junk for their rated capacity
Great video and very helpful. What is that pressure washer you have on the shelf?
Glad to help! The pressure washer is a Sun Joe SPX9004-PRO which I believe has been discontinued.
Im still waiting for the vacuum nozzle adapter
Any idea when the Kobalt version is coming? I need one.
This doesn't even belong on youtube, you should have it published in a peer-reviewed journal.
Haha, thanks for the kind words!
Let's goooooo!! #TeamGreenworks
Quick question if I order the skil attachment dose it come with the round silicone at the end of the tip?? I don’t see it
Please make your nozzles for the Harbor Freight Bauer & Atlas blowers
Thanks for putting together this comprehensive test and nice video! How was the noise level on the Greenworks 730 or EGO 765? I am running a EGO 650 right now but it's so noisy that if I don't wear ear protection I feel like I would damage my eardrums! Plus, I don't think my neighbors appreciate that. So I am looking for an alternative.
I share a summary of the noise measurements at 15:44
So what one would you recommend? Money isn’t an issue
Have you tested the Bosch battery blower? I'm asking because I have a lot of cordless power tools and Bosch batteries and I don't know how the blower fares in tests compared to the brands you present in your videos.
Sorry I haven’t but will add it to my list for next year!
Are there micro water droplets left behind that wont get blown off? have a feeling if you use a leaf blower to dry your whole car your almost gonna need to towel dry the whole thing because of that..debating whether i want to go down that route..taking a small gauntlet and drying some spots isnt a big deal but doing the whole car over with a drying towel would defeat the purpose for me.
wondering why there isn't one for Ridgid.
Science! Great job. 🤣
Thoughts or any tests on the Toro 60V? I don't have an electric blower, but I could go with either a Toro or Dewalt because of batteries I already have.
It looks like it has pretty decent specs. A STUBBY nozzle has been highly requested for that blower and I have added it to my roadmap. If you want to be alerted when it becokmes available, please fill out this form.
stubbynozzles.com/pages/stubby-nozzle-request
Great vid! I currently have the single Milwaukee blower and I find it pushes water around more than flings it off the car (ceramic coated). Would I notice a huge difference if I got the Greenworks blower? I'm a Costco member and $200 seems like a deal. I was previously using an old Craftsman shop vac detachable blower and that worked great but want to lose the cord. Thanks!
The Greenworks 730 is significantly and noticably more powerful than the Milwaukee M18 single battery blower. If you're looking to upgrade, I would definitely take advantage of the Costco sale. Worst case scenario, you can always return it.
Thanks for the reply! I placed the order…will try it out before I order the stubby 😊
Hi, I'm going to buy a Makita 36VLXT - DUB362PM2. Are the nozzles compatible with this model?
Thank you
Have you done any tests on the effectiveness of a round vs slot shaped orifice?
Kind of. Early on, I experimented with many different nozzle shapes and sizes before landing on the current design. From my experience, the round nozzle performed better than a flattened or "fan" nozzle.
QUESTION: I have 3 Milwaukee M18 batteries but only the 5ah ones. Worried your testing of the Milwaukee single showed only 2.5 CFM compared to others about double or more than double that and therefore I believe the drying performance or speed of drying a vehicle will take double the time comparing to others in the 700CFM range. Would you buy a Milwaukee single or the Ego 765 with an extra battery since I have 3 vehicles to do at home. My vehicle is also NOT coated. Thanks.
Fantastic testing! Did every conceivable test to help us choose what is right for us. Thanks
Thanks for the nice feedback! If I were you, I would buy the new Gen III Milwaukee 3017-20 that was recently released. It's more powerful and quieter than the Gen II Milwaukee 2724-20 single battery blower featured in this video. Here's the link to the product page for the STUBBY nozzle.

@@StubbyNozzleCo Thank you. I did see that model online during my research and already asked Carzilla when they will have the Stubby in for that blower. With your recommendation, I will be buying that blower. Carzilla said the Stubby nozzle for that blower is on order and will have it in 2-3 weeks!
Any info on the Echo? $169 at home depot.
Hello. Is there a way to purchase stubby nozzles from Europe? On the website my country (Bulgaria) was not in the list.
I'm between the Greenworks and the Skil since thats whats most available in my area. My question being, is the Greenworks noticeably louder than the Skil? The decibel rating is almost 10 dB higher, does it sound twice as loud?
Thanks in advance.
Yes, the Greenworks 730 is noticably louder than the SKIL 40V. With that said, I would personally buy the Greenworks blower and use hearing protection. The Greenworks 730 with a 2.5 Ah battery is currently on sale at Costco for $200 which is a great deal. I would snag that if you're a Costco member.
How do you make sure you won’t suck up any little stones? (and other stuff from the enviroment)
Great question! This is a common concern but shouldn’t be. Unless you were to hold the blower a couple inches above the ground, you’re not going to suck up anything that will cause damage to your paint. Hundreds of professional detailers use leaf blowers with our STUBBY nozzles to efficiently dry off their clients vehicles without concern for damage. Hope that helps!
doing the Lord's work 🙏
Do you guys not have the Kobalt tip anymore? Was looking into getting one of these but I don’t see one for Kobalt on your website.
We make one for the Kobalt 24V blower. It just hasn't been added to our website yet because I need to take new product photos. Here's the link to our Etsy show where you can buy one.
Ok thanks
No stubby nuzzle attachment for Ryobi 550??
Nice video. Have you tested the M12 Milwaukee blower?
Not yet. I’ve been focusing on the most powerful blowers first and working my way down. I don’t think the M12 blower is going to be powerful enough to effectively dry a vehicle though 🫤
There are 2 different M12 blowers… this version im gonna try out M18 version is just too big.
Milwaukee M12 Compact Spot Blower
Model 0852-20
Axial fan rated at 175 cfm and 110 mph… only 3.5 pounds.
@@icloudchris unfortunately, 175 CFM just isn't enough airflow to do the job well. The M18 single battery blower (2724-20) is rated for 450 CFM (nearly 3x the airflow the M12 blower puts out) and that's honestly the minimum advertised CFM rating I would recommend for car drying.
I'm thinking about using a DeWalt with a Stubby as a shower dryer, because for some reason I just detest squeegee duty. Have you ever tried it for this purpose? If so, I'm wondering if a smaller model like their DCE100 job site blower would be better. Thanks!
Haha, interesting idea! I'll try it out tomorrow and report back!
@@StubbyNozzleCo Cool! I'm not sure what to expect: it will either be super effective, or it will just spray mist and shampoo bottles everywhere.
I would just wake up the neighborhood doing that!
Preety crazy how in a year the ego goes from a list price of $299 to $329.
I can not find the Milwaukee duel battery blower stubby attachment on Amazon and the like is for the blower it self

Hey I have a Ryobi blower I see the short nozzle there where can I get that short nozzle thnx
Does the nozzle on your website work on the second ryobi blower shown? (At 1:38 in the video)
Looking for a blower to air dry my car after a wash but ive heard not to because of the unfiltered air, any recommendations?
Filtering the air is not necessary unless you live in an extremely sandy enviroment. Simply driving down the highway poses a much greater risk to damaging your paint.
Which blower would you recommend for a mobile Detailer ?
I would recommend buying a blower with an advertised output of at least 450 CFM and a brand you already have batteries for
Does the ryobi 730cfm stubby nozzle fit the ryobi 18v 450cfm blower, I use there 18v battery tools
No, the stock blower tubes are different
