What happens if I do first the daysi chain and then the panels? I mean for wire management that would be the easy way

Great question! You must connect the TS4 to the module first or else you run the risk of damaging the unit.

Question: What happens if you connect the long cables first. The reason I ask is that I had a panel connection come undone as I was wire managing.
Can I just disconnect the Togo and reconnect the module. To fix this? We are using the Tigos that accept to modules.

Do these optimiser work out the box without any additional equipment? I noticed the data sheets states CCA + Tap is required. But I presume that is only if you desire monitoring and rapid shutdown?
Am I right in saying if all you desire is optimising, then CCA + Tap isn't required?

What you describe is called blind deployment- using the TS4 optimizer without monitoring equipment. The TS4 will optimize but it will not perform rapid shutdown (if applicable) and will only have a 5 year warranty instead of 25 years.
This Help Center article discusses this application in more detail:

thats nice and everything but what about the switch, what about that for an offgrid set up? What equipment do I need, especially if I do not have an inverter that is compatible and I have to use the power supply?

Great question! We have an article in our Help Center at tigoenergy.com that discusses using the TS4s in an off grid application. The article is called "Can I use TS4 in an off-grid system?". There is too much to discuss in the comments section, but it is possible. A contingency would be to have a UPS just for the RSD power supply in case the ESS goes into standby mode and does not provide power to the RSS transmitter.

Hello. Question: You say to connect short leads then long leads. Do you mean connect all the short leads on the string then come back and connect the long leads or do you mean panel by panel? Thank you

Good question, Tim. We are referring to the shorter leads on the TS4 that will first connect to the module. Ensure all of the modules are connected to the TS4 before connecting the TS4s together.

What happens if you don’t do short leads first and do them out of order…
I have an issue I’m reading 39 v and it should be reading 0.5 as the system is not on
