Thanks for the video! Super helpful. Honestly seems like a miss to spend so many minutes talking about which side of the core faces the panels but not at all mention which of the actual power cables (positive or negative) the core surrounds, but I suppose that's in the manual. For a brief instant at 4:17 you show an overview, but both panel power cables are rendered black. Regardless, good info here.

That is an excellent comment, Jesse. Greg is working on more videos to address specific installation requirements. Stay tuned! As per the quick start guide and the manual, only the negative homeruns should run through the Core. www.tigoenergy.com/downloads

I have had no problem with the RSS side of RX.... But I continue to have 'intermittent' late start of production on cold mornings in a simple single string of eight Qcell modules wired up with four Tigo TS4-a-2f units. I have spent HOURS checking connections, etc, etc... and am at the point where I am likely to remove the 2F units, re-string without Tigo, and never use them again.

Hi Daniel, I see that you have a service ticket with us and that your issue was resolved. For the benefit of everyone, the solution was to use our external 12V 1A power supply since Sol-Ark's internal 12V power supply only puts out 100mA. Sol-Ark has updated their manuals to reflect this inconsistency.

That overwhelming laughter you hear is from enphase! why you ask? the supposed savings you get from a string inverter vs micro is negated with all this extra hardware and pilot checklists you have to follow and head scratching that actually led to the need for this video.NO thanx! Even if there is some kind of confusion while firefighting personnel is at a site with solar, the minute they kill power will rapidly shut down any array voltage with micro inverters. The slight price difference but more importantly definite rapid shut down with out all the hassle, priceless!

A lot of people complain that microinverters are more expensive than the string inverters. We made this video because of the demand. We offer more flexibility when your microinverter supplier has supply chain issues since we work with virtually any inverter on the market. Traditional string inverter design and installation can be intimidating to people with just microinverter experience.
