This is a great project for those that prefer cold working your wire the ancient way - (no heat or solder) - just lots of hammering and working the metal with your hands and tools!
Supplies:
12 gauge soft wire - 8.5" (makes approximately a 7.5" bangle)
1 Tahitian Pearl
Tools:
Chain and Flat Nose Pliers
Keiba Cutters (cuts up to 10 gauge)
3 step wrap and tap small
6 step wrap and tap
Bench Block
Nylon Hammer
Large Chasing Hammer, Small Chasing Hammer
Texturing Hammers
Round Bracelet Mandrel
Polish Cloth or Tumbler (optional)
Thank you so much Michelle. You are so thorough with your explanations and I appreciate that.
Thanks for sharing 😊
My pleasure 😊
Hello from Barbados.... I loved your lesson and I am interested in purchasing the Tumbler
Is that the normal size gauge to use. And it needs to soft wire? And this does not need to tumbled and it looks and feels like those bangle brackets out there?
I like the pear with big hole, where I get those?
I tried running a few Tahitian pearl bangles for the first time with your guys shot for about 45 and it seemed to dull the luster on pearls a bit. Did I do something wrong?
Aloha! That is not something I'm familiar with happening or able to troubleshoot without more details, as so many things can contribute to a pearl getting dull. Please call the store so we can get the details and figure it out with you, so it doesn't happen again!
Would like to purchase the tumbler, please send the website link. Maria
Thanks Maria!! We have this offline because the shipping costs vary - please email us at info@thebeadgallery.com and we will help you!! Much Aloha!! jamie
What size did you end up with?
What about angle grinder ??
