    Thank you very very much for your tutorials. You’re very easy to follow along. Thank you for that I am just wondering what kind of a hole punch you are using to punch in your wire is it just a regular hole punch? Everybody uses to punch holes in paper? I tried finding a link to buy your whole punch, but I couldn’t find it thank you thank you very much.

      We are sold out of this particular hole punch but for the purposes of searching it out online, use the term "Eurotool 1.5mm Hole Punch."

      @@JewelSchoolcan anyone tell me what kind of wire she used here? I know the gage but she never said if it was Brass, Parawire, or German Style wire? How did she get them so shiny? That’s another question… should we treat the wire with a high shine spray top coat or the stuff I buy from JTV so the wire won’t turn my wrists green (especially copper) it doesn’t like me. Lol.😂 but I was thinking like the Brass… will it keep it from tarnishing a lot? And the German style wire… will it keep that from tarnishing or chipping or whatever? Sorry about all the questions but I’ve been watching, learning, and buying from Jewel School for years now and have Loved, Learned and bought a lot of things,but these have been questions I have never known. Even after watching older videos, some have been answered but these last few I could never get the answer to . If you or anyone out there can help me, I would sooo appreciate it!!!

    I have wondered how to predetermine wire length for years. Thanks for telling how you do that. Is it possible to do a video on just that~determining lengths for necklaces~bracelets~anklets?
    Also~ do these simple bracelets need to be annealed/pickled? I'm so a newbie but want to learn THE RIGHT WAYS from the start. I feel you might be the one to teach me/us. Thanks so much in advance.

    I love adding bling or gemstones ! I’m new to wire bending so I get a little to much wire wrapped around the object , then I don’t like it ! But you always give measurements and it works out perfect or I’m a perfectionist and don’t trust myself ! Lol

    Hi . I love your tutorials & all the beautiful jewelry you make . I just have one question about the wire rounder . I’ve been looking for one but I got confused with all the supplies they have online . Please advise me on a good one . Thanks so much 🙏

    • @JewelSchool
      @JewelSchool  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Miriam! Beadalon makes a great bead reamer with an interchangeable tip. Then you can buy a wire rounding tip and change it out. Basically, you'll have two tools in one. A quick online search for "Beadalon Bead Reamer" should get you what you need. Just be sure to look for the one where the tips can be changed out!

    Hi Suan. This is great. Can you use a one step looper or is the wire too thick? T hanks

    • @JewelSchool
      @JewelSchool  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Terri! Unfortunately the 1-step looper will only loop wire from 18ga to 24ga. Susan uses 16ga in this particular project.Plus, you'll need to make a loop that is slightly bigger than what the 1-step looper or the big step looper can make, which is 1.5mm and 3mm, respectively. Susan is using the larger side of the acculoop plier, which at the smallest is about 5mm. • @JewelSchool
      @JewelSchool  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Your best bet is to use a solid wire like brass or copper or sterling silver or goldfill so you don't deal with plating flaking off and a different color wire showing. Try this: www.jtv.com/product/artistic-wire-in-brass-and-crimp-connectors-in-antq-brass-tone-kit-includes-12-14-16-gauge-wire/JSKIT0624?mcid=XSOjsyt

    Knocking is more effective if done on a non vibrating surface. Even when you knock to make your bangle round n nice on the mandrel, a rubber surface on the hammer or mandrel would be gentle on the metal n might be more effective . Try it🙂

    Hi Would you recommend using gold filled wire to make hammer wire bangles? thanks

    • @JewelSchool
      @JewelSchool  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! Gold filled wire is a great option for someone who wants precious gold jewelry without the cost of solid gold. You run the risk of marring the plating when you hammer it, so just use your best judgement. You may want to hammer a small part of the wire as a test before making an entire project.

    What kind of wire did you use? Looks like gold. What is it really?

      Hi! Susan is using a non-tarnish, plated 12ga wire. It will have a base metal, and then it is plated to achieve the gold tone.

    Hey Susan, can you please tell me where you purchased your oval mandrel. And also, what size are the gemstone nuggets? Thanks so much!

      Good question! Any size nuggets that fit on your wire will be fine! For the mandrel, if you don't have one, you can improvise with items around the home with items like rolling pins and soup cans. Not quite as precise but it will work in a pinch!

      @@JewelSchool That's awesome. Thanks. Would you still be able to tell me where you purchased your oval mandrel.

    Are the rounded parts of the bangles supposed to be flat after your hammer them on the mandrel?

    • @JewelSchool
      @JewelSchool  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No. Just hammer lightly to help texturize the wire and get it back into shape. Hammering will also harden the wire, making it a bit more sturdy!

      Local Stores like Michaels and Hobby Lobby have pre-holed nuggets to get started with.

      Hi Angela. The paddle may not have been thin/wide enough? There are other types of metal hole punches for thicker metal.
