Great project and the road bridge looked great; always good to build bridges. That enclosure with the air extraction makes so much sense. Thanks for another splendid video.
Thanks Nigel, I'm really pleased with how it's turned out. The enclosure has been a massive help too. It definitely allows me to cut more complex projects of which I have a few I'm currently working on. Thanks for watching 🤩
The kit came out really well! I think the paint job looks a bit rushed which kinda saddens the bridge but buried in the scenery it looks a lot better, looks much more at home!
One of the curses of making regular videos is that you don’t always have the time to get things absolutely perfect. Like you said though, as part of the overall scene it blends in a lot better and shows you don’t always have to be really good at painting to get decent results. Thanks for watching 🤩
It's certainly interesting to see how they've caught on, even in the last 6 months or so. I've seen a couple of of Model Railway Channels have been trying them out too and in my opinion they could soon become like 3D Printers. Thanks for watching 😃
Good looking bridge that fitted together perfectly. A short video on the designing, programming etc that went into it before the cutting would be a very useful adjunct to this one, especially for those considering getting a laser cutter.
Thanks Tony! Yes I definitely plan on doing a video on the design stage at some point in the future. For this it just would have been too complex to fit into the video. Thanks for watching 😃
Do tell Creality that I bought a Falcon 2 largely on the strength of your videos. So - can you share materials and settings you used, especially for engraving the brickwork?
Amazing, that’s great to know and stuff like this is really good for the channel when talking to companies so thank you! Generally I use 1.5mm mdf… I don’t have the settings I use on me currently but will try and update when I remember. Thanks for watching 😃
Very well done, That Model Railway Guy. You're really getting this laser cutting down pat. Bridge looks fine in-scene with unkempt brush and foliage, especially with trains passing under.
That bridge turned really nice. You just have great eye for detail when you design things. Enjoy seeing it all come together. Thanks for sharing. GOD BLESS from America 🚂💖🚂💖🚂💖🚂💖🚂💖🚂💖
Thanks, I'm actually surprised at how well it turned out in the end as I was a bit worried the design wouldn't look all that good when put together. Thanks for watching 😃
Love how this was made, and only recently found your channel as getting back into N-Gauge. Now a proud owner of Hornby TT120 as well, after going to the National Model Railway show at NEC Saturday. Could you at all do a video on how you design your laser cut buildings at all. This is something I would love to try and never know how to do. Keep up the good work.
Awesome, great to hear you're taking a dive into TT:120! I'd definitely like to do a video on how I design buildings in the future. It's on the (very long) list of videos to get round to at some point. Thanks for watching 😃
Excellent bridge build mate. That laser cutter really is a great bit of kit and having that cover is ideal and is worth investing in. The bridge came out great and looks great with the surrounding scenery. Looking forward to seeing how you made the rest of that module. - Nicholas.
Thanks Nicholas, it's definitely made cutting more complex builds like this a lot easier. Stay tuned for the full module build, hopefully it's not too far away now! Thanks for watching 😃
It's great that someone is finally show casing this technology, thanks for the inspiration and idea's. oh before I forget is there a resource web-site for pre-drawn buildings and structures?
Glad you enjoyed it! There's a few sites out there that have free design files for laser cutters but none really suitable for model railways unfortunately. In my experience you're really looking at needing to design stuff yourself, which in all honesty isn't that hard to do with a little practice. Thanks for watching 😃
For this particular project I used 1.5mm MDF, but only really because I have access to quite a lot of it. It really depends on what you're building though, on other projects I used 3mm plywood. Thanks for watching 😃
A really interesting video. What's the maximum size of the pieces you can make with your laser cutter? For instance could you make an engine shed with sides long enough to cover a large express loco? Or a goods shed?
Hiya, glad you enjoyed it! The laser cutter has a working area of 400mm x 415mm - however Lightburn (the software most use to control their laser) has a pretty nifty feature where you can cut part of your project, then move the material along, line up the laser and cut the rest. In theory you're only limited by the length of the material you're working with. I actually cut my endplates for the layout using this method as they're 500mm wide. Hope that helps and thanks for watching 👍
Hiya, yep it's the 22W version. There's also a 40W version available if you want to cut thicker materials too. Hope that helps and thanks for watching 👍
@@ThatModelRailwayGuy thanks tried to order the combo deal that includes the cutting board and rotary base but your discount code was not valid for that
I might be in need of a widespan one. Contact you separately if I get on with my cabin shelf layout... taking longer to do as shelves much harder to get level :)

Great inspiration. Turned out very well. Also like the t-shirt saying.
Glad you enjoyed it! Haha, the t-shirts are available at shop.thatmodelrailwayguy.com if you fancy one yourself 😉 Thanks for watching 👍

@@ThatModelRailwayGuy for sure! I have my eyes on one…
The brigde came out really well, there's so much you can do with this printer 😀
Thanks Adam, it definitely has endless potential and it's certainly changed the way I scratch build models! Thanks for watching 😃

You really are one bright guy!
Haha, I'm not so sure about that but I try my best! Thanks for watching 😃
Enjoyed your video and liked thanks for sharing DD.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching 😃
No worries and thank you.@@ThatModelRailwayGuy
love seeing it all coming together now, just waiting for an urban scene now LOL, thanks for sharing this with us
Haha, maybe if I ever get more space I can have a go at an urban scene. Thanks for watching 😃

In the short term, probably not - I'd be more likely to make them as kits to build up. Thanks for watching 👍
