As retired hgv delivering in and around London for many years , i actually felt whilst watching you the frustration and stress with you. Great video, brilliant driver. Well done.👍
Bloody hell mate that was carnage! Pure chaos! I'd be stressed out my head in and around London haha.. Give me countryside any day of the week over London! Great job mate, Take care bud
You did well to Deal with that Darren the roads in London are horrible just horrible i bet you're glad to get out of that area give me calmness any day stay safe man
Such a tense video Darren haha I was at one point getting mad for you! That bloody bus lan in Shepherd’s Bush has got me before 😂 well done for pulling through the madness of the city!
Very good video. I share your frustration with the parked vehicles. As a coach driver I also check my route on Google Streetview to see the layout of the destination. Reversing is always a challenge, especially as my vehicle doesn't bend in the middle 😁😁. Keep it up, it's a very good education for non-HGV/PSV drivers.
@@gruntfuttock9998 thanks bud glad your enjoying the content, one of the big benefits of driving the hgv is the ability to bend on some of the tighter corners, I do feel for you mate driving around in a coach as it can be tricky in some areas
Haha, why do we always enjoy seeing someone having a hard time 😊, seriously, that was great entertainment from this side of the camera👍 stressful enough in a van never mind an artic, nice one!
What a video 😅 really felt anxious for you .. 👍 How difficult was the transport Manager CPC , as for truck wash was not far off , unit only £15 and trl another £15
That’s not too bad prices tbf, we have someone visiting the yard every other week luckily The transport cpc was a pain if being honest, a lot to learn in a 2 week period followed by 2 exams. It’s worth doing if you get the chance
@@TheDeepExplorer1 thanks bud, I’m currently using a TomTom, pretty good satnav, as it’s a hgv one you can set it to avoid low bridges and weight limited etc, I’ve placed a link in the video description for you Have a great day
11:17 Coronation Road in Park Royal - did that road many times in the past. It was chaos back then and I dread to think what it's like now. Nice to see the Café Royal still going though - cracking brekkie if you have time.
London never work in London lol , I used to work in Hanwell and have to get there from Slough years back , it took me over 2 hours each morning to go the 15 miles to work through Greenford total nightmare never again lol
I almost had the popcorn at the ready, like I was being taken on a whilwind ride. Would have been sweating bullets driving but you handled it VERY well and good you can laugh some of it off. If I ever get asked to drive in/around London i'll be switching my first aid kit for a defibrilator just in case 😂
I live in East London and have to go through to North west London and back a few times a week..normal rules don’t apply. The driving witnessed is pretty much standard these days.
Hi Darren. How do you find jobs when you’re self employed with your own truck like this ? Is it like freight exchanges you use ? I have always been interested in doing it myself in the future.
Lived in London for 40 years the way you went from Park Royal’ was a big no no 😢😢😢😢😢😢 As said before your sat nav is not connected to your fone to give you live updates That Mary poppings street you wouldn’t get change from 2 million When you got to Shepherd’s Bush you was only 15 minutes from your last drop lol
Oh no 🙈🙈 I think definitely I’ll be going around the m25 next time, if you go to the end of the A40 it takes you through King’s Cross etc doesn’t it? As the slip road I needed was closed off without warning I panicked 🙈🤦🏻 and come off for the Paddington slip
Those roads aren’t designed for the volume of traffic in London . Loads of potholes in North west London and poor driving etiquette. Absolute crap show and dog eat dog mentality !
parts Birmingham also making traffic congestion on purpose, they closing roads of for no reason (called low traffic areas) it funnels all traffic on few main roads i turns place in to grid lock. councils doing all they can to get people out cars / trucks /vans they do not want people driving and reason they making driving as hell as possible so people do not want to. some places you get in to an area but getting back out if you new to area dead end after dead end because fools (government) put plant pots blocking roads but some locals fighting back and took removal of them and removed bollards and signs so they can again access. city's have been designed in resent times to restrict and make travel as hard as possible and cause as much madness as possible. vote red, blue, green or yellow expect a lot more of our roads turning into grid lock and more roads closed / stolen from the public. these days i refuse to go in to a city i have day out in small town somewhere what more traffic friendly and they get my money. most issues you see on road that was the leaders plan cause madness so people do not want to use the roads

Thanks buddy
Best road in London is the one on the way out its a nightmare makes my palms sweat 😂 I feel your pain mate great vlog as always 👍
Thanks bud, agree 100% that best road is the one leaving ha
Some class reversing in this video pal
I used to parcel drop all around Park Royal back in the day,it was just as bad then a absolute nightmare, absolutely love your videos.

You did well to Deal with that Darren the roads in London are horrible just horrible i bet you're glad to get out of that area give me calmness any day stay safe man
Thanks bud. It was a relief when I got back to the A roads again. Just too many mopeds flying around
Such a tense video Darren haha I was at one point getting mad for you! That bloody bus lan in Shepherd’s Bush has got me before 😂 well done for pulling through the madness of the city!
It’s just chaos around there! 🙈 bikes flying around everywhere you look and weight limit signs everywhere too

Just as well you can laugh Darren.. what a hazardous place. Stay safe lad.
Didn’t help that the A40 was closed due to an accident and the main capital is just chaos
I drove into London chelsea/knights bridge area the other day after only driving a class 1 for 8 weeks I'm just glad it wasn't as bad as this.
Extra surprise there near the end, you came Rochester, I live in Chatham next to it, nice to see you was about 10 minutes from me.
It’s literally just down the road from you 😀
@@Life_of_Darren you was just behind Rochester airport for that collection! Was not expecting that
Haha, why do we always enjoy seeing someone having a hard time 😊, seriously, that was great entertainment from this side of the camera👍 stressful enough in a van never mind an artic, nice one!
Glad you enjoyed it bud, it’s probably harder in a van to be fair as most people try to avoid the trucks at least
Hi Darren nice blog London been loads of make me swear thinking about it take care 🤔👍👋
Have a good one bud
Awesome blog Sir. I felt your pain😮
It can be a pain at times around London for sure.
Blimey mate I admire your patience driving around London and skill, drive safe buddy
Thanks 👍

Holy shit i felt stressed just watching this. You are very skilled, nicely done.
Thanks bud
Brilliant driving mate
Cheers bud
Broken Britain on full display there Darren . Crumbling road infrastructure and self centred people with no manners . Bad combination
Hi Darren, love the videos, quick question, what sat nav do you use ? And does it avoid low bridges and small roads for you ?

Nice one, Garth road near me!!
Done well mate, I use to do multi drop in London. Never again, any sign of a red bus and I'm out. Ufff nightmares 😂😂😂
Wow 🤩 buddy London absolutely chaos! Well handled though bet took all night for bloody pressure calm down lol 😂
11:17 Coronation Road in Park Royal - did that road many times in the past. It was chaos back then and I dread to think what it's like now. Nice to see the Café Royal still going though - cracking brekkie if you have time.
If you arrive at the right time the Coronation Road can be okay, but if the A40 is closed it’s a night mare 🙈
The first drop you went to in Park Royal I do quite often in a rigid and that’s bad enough never mind an artic
Do you normally reverse in when you deliver to there?
Well done pal
It seems to me that they have a different set of rules in London for driving but you didn't loose your cool well done
They certainly do, if you don’t laugh you will cry 🙈
junction 10 is walsall
London never work in London lol , I used to work in Hanwell and have to get there from Slough years back , it took me over 2 hours each morning to go the 15 miles to work through Greenford total nightmare never again lol
That’s way too long to travel for work 🙈 and with it being only 15 miles too!!

Thanks bud! It’s a tricky place but once you’ve driven on road there all the same after a while 😀 just more nutters in the capital
Hi Darren I have my class 2 test tomorrow, 25/4/24
Best of luck kev! Hope it all goes well for you
Bollocks to that traffic, I think I will stick to rural New Zealand 😂
I don’t blame you mate!
Hopefully you didn’t go the slip at Paddington on the A40. Weight limit of 7,5t and No PCV allowed, camera enforced
I think I may have 🙈
Just checked - came off on the A40 by Royal Oak station … hope that areas okay 🙈
nightmare well played 💪
Thanks nick
Feel your pain as hgv driver myself after going London 2 times a week for last 7 years my satnav gives up know lol
Yeah there completely useless around there, too many changes to weigh limits etc and they just don’t seem to update on the satnav
The road where your delivery was is usually bad but not as bad as on your video
I’ve been once before and it wasn’t too bad, it didn’t help with the A40 closure
I live in East London and have to go through to North west London and back a few times a week..normal rules don’t apply. The driving witnessed is pretty much standard these days.
Which route would you recommend going from south to north London etc
Fair play to you mate that is my idea of hell! Id have had a meltdown! Ill stick to my narrow lanes and farmyards!
Give me the country side any day of the week
Darren I think your company likes to send you to London, so you'll get more content for all of us😂😂😂
🤣 I think you’re right about that 🤣
Bet you wish you went on that m25 earlier than you did ! 😅
100%
Hi Darren. How do you find jobs when you’re self employed with your own truck like this ? Is it like freight exchanges you use ? I have always been interested in doing it myself in the future.
I’m not self employed bud. The company I work for let me do the vlogs etc. I am hoping to go on my own one day in the next year or two
What a journey. Just noticed you had trainers on, don't you wear steel toe cap boots? I would.
When doing longer drives I tend to wear trainers then put boots on when delivering, If I’m more local etc then I tend to keep the boots on all day
No joke Darren, you earnt your money that day
It felt it today 🤣

Great news Kev!! Well done mate
What sat nav do you use ?
TomTom for trucks, can’t remember the model off top of my head

I think the same too mate, the government make it as hard and expensive as possible to put people off driving anywhere
Couldn't be arsed with that for 12quid an hr
