If you sign up for the plan then, yes, you would have to send via Squarespace campaigns - however, if you would prefer to use another email marketing tool, then you can always embed their form into your website and send your email using that tool instead!

I actually cover this more in depth in my course, Website That Wows 🙂You can check it out here: www.websitethatwows.com As for your questions, you can create a landing page by simply creating a new page in Squarespace and then adding a form to it! You can remove the header and footer by using code. I also cover this in my course! For the click triggers, that is not currently possible in Squarespace alone but may be able to be done through another app. Personally, I use Kartra (and their KartraMail) for tagging people, automations and sending out broadcasts/newletters!

You can definitely continue to customize! You can't change the template per say, but you can add pages and they have done-for-you designs that you can choose from that way! 🙌
I am curious how much a basic monthly website would cost me using squarespace. I started to create it using the free trial but I want to only have to do it once and if I go through all that work only to find out I cannot afford it. I am trying to price match as this will be my first time creating a site. I don't need to sell anything from the site, It will just be used as a place to show artists work, our location and set appointments for consultations for our tattoo studio. Do you think this would work for me and approx how much do you think it will cost?
Hey Liz! I definitely think this can be done using Squarespace!! Pricing will depend on a few different factors, including what package you want to choose (ranging from $12-54/month) and whether you choose an annual or monthly payment. My tip is to go for an annual payment if you can, as it equates to less each month 🙂 Also, you likely won't need a fancy plan so I would stick with the business plan. You would have to start your site fresh using 7.1! That being said, if you connect with Squarespace Support, they should be able to help you transfer your Squarespace account over so that if your plan isn't yet up then you can get a proactive refund and apply that to a 7.1 site! Hey! At first, you'll still have access but it won't be live anymore. Squarespace hosts all of your assets so after a certain period of time of not paying the assets will be lost or deleted. Always good to know ahead of time just in case!!
Every time I try to add my own photos I get it to look ok on the desktop site but when checking how it looks on mobile it's all kinds of messed up. Why is that?
This is because of the photo dimensions 😅 It looks okay on desktop because it is resized to fit a larger view but looks awkward on mobile because it's not responsive enough, and the mobile is not too large. I have a friend who had this issue sometime ago, he later got help. Mind me connecting you with who helped?
Hey Bodhi! Outside of what Peter mentioned about photo dimensions (which is true), you could always try changing the type of image that is in your Squarespace site 🙂 When you edit the photo, you'll see that the photo is set to be a certain format on your site - try changing this and it may adjust how you image looks as well!
I believe you have missed one very important step during this video, how to make buttons on the website that way it goes to the next page when clicking on a button? Is there a video on how to do that with square space you have made?

Hi. We're noticing that the Mobile view versus Desktop view for images when browsing Inventory are vastly different and Square has no workaround yet. If we upload an image for Desktop view...it looks great. But, when we click on the "mobile" view on the upper right during editing, all the images change and now they are too large. When viewed on mobile phone, they are in fact too large. Square suggested using the 1/2 page view, but there's no tool to edit images. This is a serious limitation. Do you know of a workaround for this? Thanks very much,

Hey Rebekah! With Squarespace 7.1, all templates share similar qualities! Therefore, if you add a new section (click the blue "add section") it will ask if you want to start with a blank canvas or with a templated section and so you can choose from any type of template here! Why is it when something say it free, it’s a pain to get just the free item. I have tried 4 times and it’s just giving me the blues. Every time I try to add my own photos I get it to look ok on the desktop site but when checking how it looks on mobile it's all kinds of messed up. Why is that?
This is because of the photo dimensions 😅
It looks okay on desktop because it is resized to fit a larger view but looks awkward on mobile because it's not responsive enough, and the mobile is not too large.
I have a friend who had this issue sometime ago, he later got help. Mind me connecting you with who helped?
Hey Bodhi! Outside of what Peter mentioned about photo dimensions (which is true), you could always try changing the type of image that is in your Squarespace site 🙂 When you edit the photo, you'll see that the photo is set to be a certain format on your site - try changing this and it may adjust how you image looks as well!
I believe you have missed one very important step during this video, how to make buttons on the website that way it goes to the next page when clicking on a button? Is there a video on how to do that with square space you have made?

Hi. We're noticing that the Mobile view versus Desktop view for images when browsing Inventory are vastly different and Square has no workaround yet. If we upload an image for Desktop view...it looks great. But, when we click on the "mobile" view on the upper right during editing, all the images change and now they are too large. When viewed on mobile phone, they are in fact too large. Square suggested using the 1/2 page view, but there's no tool to edit images. This is a serious limitation. Do you know of a workaround for this?

Hey! I believe that there will be a set amount of time before your website expires if you do not pay, but as long as you pay for your domain and Squarespace subscription then you should be okay and you won't loose access to your website 🙂 I hope that helps!

Hey Rebekah! With Squarespace 7.1, all templates share similar qualities! Therefore, if you add a new section (click the blue "add section") it will ask if you want to start with a blank canvas or with a templated section and so you can choose from any type of template here! You'll just be building it out and choosing what sections you like best 🙂 I hope that helps clarify!

Hey Ariel! You'd have to use a workaround for this 🙂 You could create a blog with each blog post being an image of the product and then text with a link, and then use a summary element piece to bring it together! Just a thought!

Hey Caleb! You would have to create a page in Squarespace and then link to that page with your button 🙂 You can do this by selecting the page, or by copying the URL of the page you're directing people to and pasting that in the button link! I hope that helps!

Why is it when something say it free, it’s a pain to get just the free item. I have tried 4 times and it’s just giving me the blues. I don’t want anything other then the free item, so why is it so complicated to just get the free template why do I have to go through a series of questions and videos it doesn’t make any sense I don’t want it.
