- Hello everyone! Welcome to this video!
For the second time in Toronto Pearson Int'l's history; the Antonov An-225 Mriya has filed in. The aircraft was enroute from Tianjin, China with stopovers in Nagoya and Anchorage bringing PPE (personal protective equipment) to help battle the Coronavirus (COVID-19).
The flight was delayed a few days due to timings and crew rest but it all amounted to a Saturday morning arrival, as ADB3405 touched down on RWY 24R at 0951hrs. After the aircraft vacated the RWY, they taxied back up to the Infield Terminal where they parked abeam gates 522 and 524. After that, we were greeted to welcomes from Toronto Pearson Int'l, the Greater Toronto Airports Authority, several delegates and Bollore Logistics (the company who chartered the flight). And so the work began on the aircraft as the boxes were all taken out to begin the offload. Enjoy the video everyone! And stay safe!
Cheers,
Ernest G.

Thanks Rob! Likewise!
Oh man I wish I was there. I live in Scarberia ( East end for novices ) and would have hiked it out there to see Mriya arrive. Darn.
Beauty footage again Ernest with great air side footage, especially of the crew of Ukraine's Queen ! Fabulous !!
Yep , Mike Myers town. BTW the plane took off this morning at 8:30 for Anchorage.
I live in Etobicoke and I couldn't be there. Glad for this video!

Nice catch! Wish I could make it to the airport to see it land in person although I was definitely able to catch a glimpse of the plane from my balcony as it was preparing to land on 24R
I were in three different airport in the past when this plane the AN 225 come in . I miss out to see but in London Heathrow some of the staff shouted out loud to the people in a waiting room THE WORLDS BIGGEST PLANE IS JUST LANDING .....! ALL PEOPLE (including me ) RUSSED UP and we all were like STACK TO THE WINDOW FOR TO SEE IT....
SO YOU ARE NOT THE ONLY ONE IN TORONTO .... IT IS IN EVERY CITY IN THE WORLD WHERE IT LANDS ..... WE ALL WISH TO SEE THIS MAMUSING HUGE and LOVELY ENGENIRENG IN THE WORLD and it is also only ONE of it so it is HYSTORIC TO SEE IT....!

Another Great Job Ernest
Thanks David!

Cheers Howard!
Great footage, thank you!
Duuuude! I'm so glad you got this video! I only got a couple of pictures hours after she landed - so glad I got to work the day of the AN-225 arrival in YYZ. I also thought the landing was super smooth after watching the Antonov's landing video, but didn't know just how smooth until watching your vid.
I think you got captured in Antonov's landing video as a part of the group at the end of the road by the cargo area next to the In-Field Terminal.
Once again, thanks for the awesome video!
Thanks a lot! Oh yes- very smooth landing indeed. We were near Alpha Mike taxiway for the landing and then we bussed it to the Infield Terminal for the taxi in. Once in a lifetime experience. Such an awesome day.
So soft landing!✌🏻🎉
Really awesome! Enjoyed seeing it in Montreal last week!
Century Man! Great video. Love all those thrust reversers opening. Cheers, Jay!

Awesome. Just awesome. 👌🏼
Thanks a lot!
That's one of your best video's to date buddy! Amazing that you got airside for this, you had the best views in the house! The bit where it slowly turns onto stand is incredible! Brilliant stuff! I hope I get to see the 225 in action one day. I'm pretty sure that won't be airside anywhere. You got a unique experience!
Thanks a lot Rudi! I was extremely privileged and never thought this would happen so never say never cause you never know ;)
Maybe you will see the new AN because it should be finish or cruse soon The AN 225 is till 2030 and I know they had been work on a new one for some time now so you maybe will be lucky along with me too for to be able to see the newer version
nice
Fantastic video. I'd love to see that beast someday.
Man! Wish I could have gone! I saw the AN-225 the first time it came to Pearson back when I was in grade 6 with my dad, too bad my car broke down or else I could have gone :( So lucky for you to be airside, I wish I could one day do that :) Great video!
Nice capture !

The amount of fuel it burned just with the reversers would last me a lifetime. What an amazing machine.
What a beautiful beast this thing is. It ain't one of my favorite aircraft for nothing! Shame I managed to miss seeing it twice. Hopefully, I can catch it next time.
Thanks Daniel! Lets hope brother!
USSR great engineering achievement from 1985 still looks great!
Yeah just a little jealous. Epic capture :)
You’re not the only one ;) thanks Elliot!
@@ErnestGutschikAviationHow does one get to know when this is coming in? I've never seen the 225.

Any idea on departure details? thanks for the video !!!!!!!!!!
I remember that plane when it was finished..was in all the international papers even the one I get from Holland as I am now in Canada not far from toronto airport..I'm truly jealous that I wasn't there to see it.
Amazing Super good catch Ernest! SO GOOOOD!!!!! Btw how the heck to you get in the airport past the fence?.

Any idea when going back? Please and thanks.
lucky! Hope to meet again some time.
Twas an amazing experience.
Always funny seeing my building when planes are landing on 24R
Great shots of it Ernest! Unfortunately I missed the 24R touchdown because I thought it was coming on 23 as it’s the longest at Pearson......My dad was putting the pedal to the medal on airport road trying to get to the threshold aviation area to see it landing but we didn’t get there in time 🙁. But I did see the last bit of the taxi and I went over to the midfield terminal to see it at the stand. 👍✈️ Also, any ideas on the date and time of departure? I don’t want to miss the takeoff. 👏👍 And lastly, how do you get permission to go airside?
Aww man that socks Liam, at least you still got to see it! I'm really sorry man I feel bad. Btw was this the first time for you to see it? Because I caught it landing on RWY24R and yes it was my first time.
Zakariya Ismail yes it’s my first time unfortunately I missed it... Although, and btw don’t take me on this, but it might come back next week. The reason I feel like this is a few weeks ago when it first went to Montreal, it did a regular trip, then it went back to Montreal about a week later. So I feel it may do a similar thing here... It might come back to Toronto in about a week. I hope it does because then I could see it land but I don’t know for sure. At least I saw it parked at the stand.
Hey Liam, where exactly is it parked - will I be able to see it from outside the airport?
Andrew Bondarchuk It is parked at the mid-field terminal on the cargo stand which is near those cargo buildings and the main control tower. You go on Britannia Road East to get to it.
@@liamhosking2947 WHAT REALLY????!!! Well you may be right that did happen but we don't know if it will come maybe though I hope
👍
Awesome video! But how did you get airside?
Thanks! Tour arranged by Toronto Pearson and GTAA.
Is there a way to find out when it will take off? It should be tomorrow although not sure when.
It's departure is around 8:00AM tomorrow
@@zakariyaismail9498 oh I think read on another video that the take off is schedule for tonight.
Looks like more people here in their comments are amazed by Ernest's great job (as if he has built this plane himself) and not by the plane, are you people serious?
It would be cool to see this plane with 4 GE 9X engines from the 777X. I'm sure it would be more efficient and just as powerful.
Subscribing.
That's not an airplane. It's a fricking flying warehouse with wings.
Question Ernest : Why is this flight not on today's GTAA ( Pearson 's ) arrival list ?
I'm not sure if you're talking about the normal list because those are usually not showing cargo. Is there another list available to the public?
@@pfsantos007 OK, that makes sense no cargo planes on that GTAA arrivals list. I too would be interested in the cargo plane schedule as well.
Yes. Paul is correct. Due to the fact that it’s Cargo.
@@ErnestGutschikAviation OK.... so where would the list of cargo planes that are coming and going to Toronto be ?
Да,это пилоты,а не контролеры автоматики.
Rest in Peace...
When is this leaving toronto
U probably ready know. Sunday May 31st early morning / dest PANC.
One day my eyes will behold this "Beautiful Magnificent Lady". Isn't She Gorgeous. Yes all big planes to me are ladies.😊😊☺
I still can`t believe that tons of gigantic metals can landing...
Glory to Ukrainian Great Dream!)
Amazing video!! When does the Antonov depart YYZ?
Thanks! Planned departure is 8am tomorrow.
@@ErnestGutschikAviation sweet I will try to get down to YYZ
Is it still in toronto???
Nope. Departed Sunday at 0810.
@@ErnestGutschikAviation thank you,,,,but very sad, as the air corridor is above my house and I can always see planes over me
