Class act! Sweet collection of fine Japanese woodworking hand tools. I’ve never seen the bench top jointer/planer you used. I have an old Hitachi jointer/planer that is noisy and the plastic housing is self destructing but it works beautifully. I also have the same all steel marking knife as you that I have had for many years but I certainly don’t have such an elegant way to keep it. I’m inspired to make little Japanese style tool boxes such as yours to keep such items. Thank you for sharing your skill and knowledge.
After many many weeks of work it is finally done! I was dealing for the first time myself sizing lumber in my 3x2m workshop and as you saw, I've made such a mess :) Plans also available on my store www.adrianpreda.com/shop
drewdy no, cause this is not in apartment anymore. next houses are a bit away, and if I close the doors is mostly no prob, specially for short periods how I use
Very nice, I like the overall Japanese design of your furnitures and the idea of mixing modern screwing techniques and classical ones! A great source of inspiration for me: Thanks!
Making these kind of improvements to ones workplace makes you want to spend more time in it , and also encourages making new builds , at least that's what happens to me , liked it .
Every time I see your work it inspires me to learn the techniques and learning more about the Japanese Wood Work, thank you for sharing your work. Beautiful!!!!!
Fantastic organisation, and a clean and professional job. My favourite part is simply the clean look of it. You can tell a lot of thought has gone into it. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you Chris! I appreciate your feedback! Glad you like it. Also the kind of project helped in making this video, all those steps made it more dynamic :)
Hi Adrian, really nice upgrade..... the workspace is nicely laid out, and looks like a million bucks! As noted before, you have far more patience than I can muster, it shows in your work!
I was so excited to see you posted another video and you didn’t fail to deliver! So cool seeing you make what you do in your shop! Keep up the great videos and I look forward to seeing the next one :)
Watching you vacuum reminds me of my shop 😁! My wife tells me that all she ever sees me do is clean in the shop. It's kind of true! Anytime I make anything from wood it just makes such a huge mess. I spend so much time just cleaning and putting things away. I need better organization and dust collection.
Well done Adrian. I bought one of your keepsake boxes and one of your mini japanese tool boxes from your Etsy store. Your workmanship is superb and I can tell how much care you took in making them. Your new shop layout looks great. I wish you all the best my friend.
Adrian you did a fantastic job on that build. Very impressive, everything from the initial design to the execution. I loved the small square plugs with the chamfered tops with the offsetting colored darker wood, nice touch. The double wedged tenons looked amazing.
Dude I almost cried when I saw the video upload it feels so long from your last video. but it seems the work and time paid off beautifull space! Picking my lumber from the trash so I can buy more tools is less painfull now
Wow, that is very aesthetically pleasing. Truly an honoured and well thought out place for every tool. You're going to have a hard time integrating any new tools into that!
Wow, great video. I like your initial comment here that it took "many many weeks" to get done. I wish that were in videos like this because it seems so quick. I like to know how long a project actually takes (takt time, at least). Love watching your videos. They have inspired me to work more on my hand tool skills. Keep up the good work.
Thank you Jeromy! Yes, mostly spread from mid August till now. If I knew I would have split it in parts. Hope from now to post more frequent. Thanks for your comment!

Shaun Fahey It was raining, couldn't film outside :) But yes, never again :))
@@AdrianPreda , do your neighbors complain about the noise? I want to do this too xD
drewdy no, cause this is not in apartment anymore. next houses are a bit away, and if I close the doors is mostly no prob, specially for short periods how I use
Adrian, love your work!
Btw, what’s a Wokbench? 😎
Jeremy Pate A bench to hold woks, what's that ambiguous? :))
This is an example of the antithesis to "familiarity breeds contempt." Excellent watch. 👍
Love the darker wood details, now it must be relaxing to work in such a well appointed space.
Thank you! Will see the space "response" when i get start on the new projects :)
It’s amazing what you can do with very few tools, grate hair and determination.
Thank you!
Very nice, I like the overall Japanese design of your furnitures and the idea of mixing modern screwing techniques and classical ones! A great source of inspiration for me: Thanks!
This is probably the most beautiful and satisfying thing video I’ve ever seen in my life.
