  • Kathy Blair was a successful choir master in Austin, Texas. However when something horrible happened, and investigation only revealed infra red footage of a man walking nearby. Days later, another couple would be victim to the same man, tracking him down would lead to twist after twist.

    Got my mom hooked on That Chapter by accidentally connecting to her Bluetooth speaker and she listened to almost a whole chapter while I tried to figure out why my phone wasn’t making noise! She is 70 and loves Mike. Calls him “that adorable Mike”. It’s true love. She asks for Mike nights instead of movie nights. She has her own TH-cam account now too. Hi mom!!! ❤️

I use my scopes like binoculars sometimes to just look out from my upper windows, see what the family of magpies is doing in my tree, check out what squirrels are up to, etc (not while they are mounted on a rifle, just held in my hands).
      If I had the money for a thermal scope, I would totally get one, and totally use it to look around at stuff at night time.

      Yes, sometimes there's just a freaky set of circumstances that collide to reveal critical information. This reminds me of another case where some sociopath murdered, I think two grandparents and a grandchild and beheaded the bodies, then disposed of them in a pit outside in a rural location with a lot of space between properties. He obvious felt he wasn't much at risk of being discovered, except coincidentally a drone was doing aerial surveying in the area and captured images of the three beheaded bodies laying on the ground out in the open before they were disposed of. The images were critical evidence in the case.

There was a reason, just not one the ex-employed person wants people, especially cops, to know. This guy is OBVIOUSLY trying to trade on "teachers would never do crime!" social credit to let him get away with murder, hoping to scrape all the blame off onto the guy WITH a record. I honestly disagree, he is an army man with some character and i expect him to be familiar with the death reality ( yeah death is death but still he has been around it before), it is not expected that he would be breaking into tears, his breathing and shaking voice and tone when he said".. killed my mom" is more than enough to know that he is a strong man in distress. Extra feelings can never be a proof of honestly, saying that as a psychiatrist who has been working with psychopaths and ex murders.

      @imenbenkbaier246 3 ปีที่แล้ว +32

      First you have yourself said that people react in different ways that's why it was wrong to judge fast.
      people react based on their life experiences, Emotional Personality ability of processing an acute situation and many other complex factors and that whether it is his mom or someone else. I see enough schock and distress in his 911 call that u obviously can't see and here we also as different people judge reactions differently, we cannot set a standard to how someone is supposed to react so you can judge it Normal / appropriate or not.
      Ans yeah i know people in army and i understand what you say and you are right on that but what i also know that there is a certain education , discipline that affect one's personnality and that's in many professional Fields and army is one of them so one requires some character. So to resume i don't find it odd or suspicious at all, the opposite. You can surely disagree based on your standards again of what's normal or appropriate reaction to finding your mom murdered. I wd like you to hear that 911 call one more time with high volume and full concentration on his breath and voice maybe you'll see what o saw. Nice day

On the stand when he was saying what Tim "told him" happened, he actually looked at his own foot when he said Tim hit his foot on the bed. I'd disagree. He lacked politeness in the call whereas there was a lot of urgency in the call. Both signs that he wasn't the killer. The calmness you perceived is probably from his military training that gave him the ability to size up the scene and explain it clearly to 911. I found it more interesting that the actual killer was able to say "I didn't kill her", as that is supposed to be a sign of someone who's more likely to be innocent. But I think in this case it was a sign of a psychopath.

    Losing his high school teaching position for no clear reason and living with his mother... I would guess old Shawn had a very disturbed psyche and was in the "caper"with Tim because murder was the interesting potential for him while Tim was in it for the money. Shawn didn't seem that bothered that he didn't get any cash out of the whole thing. Tim screwed up big time taking on a partner for those robberies. Shawn's vibe and behavior was very "off" in the video clip of the police interview and the clips of him talking in the courtroom, completely affectless (not to mention all the changing claims without batting an eyelid).

    The demeanor of Sean Gant throughout his police interviews and the subsequent recanting of his original confession in court, the cold dead eyes and complete lack of expression or emotion, his ability to talk with calm confidence, seamlessly switching from one lie to another despite the incredible pressure of knowing the rest of his life could be spent behind bars, all of this behavior is indicative of a sociopath.
    A man like him with his seemingly squeaky clean history is most likely in it for the thrill rather than the money. He probably never hung out with any real bad guys his entire life until he met Tim through mutual acquaintance so wasn't presented with a real opportunity to do something evil until that day.
    The only time a person with his psychopathology actually FEELs anything other than rage or depression is when they experience the physical rush of adrenaline. Whether he planned to kill or it simply escalated during the burglary may not be entirely clear but he obviously enjoyed the first killing so much that he jumped at the chance of doing it again, and in all likelihood would have continued to do so had they not been caught.
    Now, if Sean was just a regular guy who went for a ride-along with a bad guy just to see what it's all about, the events that occurred during the crime would have led him to refuse tagging along for the second burglary. If he didn't hand himself in he would have at least tried to lay low and would have been suffering from incredible regret and self loathing, and he would almost certainly have broke down in the police interview instead of acting cool, bored and generally nonchalant. And I call bullshit on the sleeping pills thing. If anything he could have took some to invalidate a polygraph.
    Tim on the other hand is a typical lifelong crook who's lack of emotion and general apathy toward the killings is more indicative of a hardened criminal who's seen it all before and isn't particularly moved by anything his partner does as long as he gets what he came for, the money. He kept the money for himself because he knew the other guy got what he came for. The thrill of the kill.
    Glad this pair of scumbags have been permanently removed from society.

    Love how Mike pronounces the "th"s. Just like the Irish nuns in my elementary school, and my maternal grandmother who emigrated from County Galway in 1920. "Thirty" is turty. Three is tree. Put the tongue against top front teeth and slightly roll the R. Best I can explain it. And "lads", love when he calls them that instead of guys. Also "have a bit of a chat" or a "chin wag". Such lovely Irish speaking traits. Mike makes ugly stories interesting but still is (mostly) respectful.

    One thing I really like about this channel and have to give mike credit for is not stuffing a patreon or buying merch from his channel down our throats. Never says make sure we subscribe and smash that like button in any video. Cause honestly we all know to do that already if we want to. Mike just strictly makes videos for our entertainment straight to the point and no harassing about that stupid like button. So I have to say thank you mike for all your work on these videos. One of the best story telling channels on TH-cam. I usually fall asleep to them at night. Helps me out a lot.
