Excellent summary of the bikes from 'my day' with the technical bit at the end of great interest. I recently attended a technical talk at the British Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham, England where all the old carburetor styles were discussed. You would enjoy that place, 850 British Motorcycles from no fewer than 170 manufacturers on display, including plenty of 1960's classics.
Thanks, glad you enjoyed the comments. The museum would be a wonderful place to visit. A carburetor discussion must have been interesting. There is quite a legacy with Amal and others.
