6:40 I agree. People act like he was cool in these movies. No, in reality they just think Andrew is hot. He’s actually very socially awkward, unsure of himself, and nerdy. You don’t need glasses to be nerdy
When Gwen died his performance broke me. I felt like I failed in saving her too and I think that's what hurt this version of Spidey. He was too real for most people.
this was my favourite spiderman movie for sure, I love Andrew Garfields version of Spiderman, querky, charasmatic and funny! Less cheesy, more relatable. Great Video btw!
I never disliked Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man, in fact what drew me to him was his suits, his love admiration and understanding the character and having fun swinging around NYC. Don’t get me wrong, I love Tobey Maguire, he will always be Spider-Man. But as far as my favorites, I would have to say Andrew takes the cake.
Andrew has been my favorite Spider-Man since his debut as the webhead. I warned everyone that they’ll regret not giving him a third movie and hating on him. Here we are a decade later and everyone wants TASM3. I’m glad he’s getting the love and respect he deserves finally… But fuck, man. I wish this support was there when he was still actively doing his TASM movies.
As person who was born in 2006 and grew up on and loved all the Raimi films. I got to say The Amazing Spider-Man was probably my favorite spiderman movie. Idk just something about the vibes and borderline realism with certain aspects like making the suit and web shooters just had me obsessed. Now that I’m older I do like how they spent more time showing that Peter wasn’t trying to necessarily be a hero after getting his power. He was angry and vengeful he really didn’t even become Spider-Man until after he saved those people on the bridge
I couldn't have put it better myself. He didn't just wake up and become Spider-Man, he had to evolve and develop. He is just a kid and this movie really showed that.
I recently rewatched TASM and I still love the first movie. The second one, not so much. The first movie to me has always been a very grungy and grounded take on Spider-Man, the cinematography was amazing, a stark contrast from the clean and saturised MCU films. It had so much bold decisions creatively which I always loved, The suit for example, people HATED that suit, even since late 2011 when the first leaks of it were shown online, But I personally love it, it fits well with Peter's state of mind in the movie, it wasn't perfect and it wasn't trying to be.
Andrew’s Spider-Man has always felt the most relatable to me. When I was watching those movies I could see myself as him. Not a lot of movies can get you feeling that way, but TASM does a damn good job at capturing all the feelings that come with living in a situation like that.
Always liked amazing spider-man but something was stopping it from being truly amazing. Andrew had so much to offer with spider-man and sucks they only realised his full potential in no way home since he was the best spider-man in that movie.
I never hated it. I grew up on Tobey's spider man. I loved Andrew's watching it as a teenager. And I never understood why people hated it. I think it was like when the Star Wars prequels came out and the OG didn't like change or new things. The Tobey fans wanted more Tobey.
Anderws speech at the end, with the music, is a very very good ending to the video. i wish it was longer, but then again, it probably wouldnt be as great if it was
Bro i just watched tas 2 and i can'tstop being emotional after gwen's death like why did she have to die,. Loved the chemistry between Garfield and emma.
I love andrews spiderman, as i think he did the best at both being spiderman and peter, it seems more serious, while still leaving room for jokes, The suit is also a bit more loose, and the swinging is far better too Plus i just really love TAS1
The reason why the original trilogy and TASM1 were memorable, was because of the producer LAURA ZISKIN It was because of her and her husband (the screenwriter Alvin Sargent) that the movies had depth AVI ARAD on the other hand, just wanted to use the movies to sell toys Unfortunately, she died in 2011, during the production of this movie Without her, there was no one to stop Arad from destroying the franchise again Spider-Man was nothing without her
I will conduct some investigative journalism! I believe it though, at a certain point it became more about profits then the people. RIP to good Spider-Man movies.
Since the release of TASM 1/2, it has been my favourites. Tobey Maguire got me into Spider-Man, but Andrew got me to enjoy it every time I watch it and like Spider-Man even more. I probably rewatched it 10 times and I can't get enough of Andrew's Peter acting and the way this Spider-Man moves is 'Amazing', plus the comedy is always great. Also, it has Gwen in it and not MJ (which is good).
I've seen a lot of people stating that Andrew is too hot to play a nerd to which I say: nerds are hot. No, really, look at some of the most popular smart characters like Sherlock Holmes or Dr.Who, they're smart and they're hot because of it. Not to mention since quite many smart people are successful and rich most girls gush over them than some jocks full of themselves.
The Tobey Maguire movies hold a special place in my heart! The Amazing Spider-Man just takes too much hate when it is a solid film so I had to defend it. Thank you so much!
Jeesh lol the history is all backwards. The new era of superhero films did not start with chris nolans batman.. his films were the result of the success from blade, xmen and spiderman
I hate that i rewatched the first amazing spiderman and watched tasm 2 in 2019 for the first time, i found myself enjoying them both(tasm 1 is my favorite live action spiderman movie) and then no way home happens and all of a sudden people like his spiderman😭
I think i'd like it more if its concluded the whole sub plot of the uncle Ben murderer because that mf is on the loose, and Spider-Man with all his abilities still ignore this one specific guy is just weird, people said this is THE smartest Spider-Man yet somehow hes not smart enough to track him down, to make matter worse, in the sequel, this Spider-Man straight up essentially doing the same thing when he was trying to catch Rhino, ignore him and let him rampage.
Yeah, I think leaving it unsolved showed how this version of Peter Parker was willing to move on regardless of his emotional pain. Plus, The Lizard was taking up a lot of his time! Good point though!
@@MovieMaketh Maybe, but personally, i think it would've been great if we had a scene near the end of the film where Aunt May reads the newspaper and tells Peter that they found the killer and arrested him. And Peter looks up and says "Oh, that's nice." It'd be a way to showcase Peter's changed mindset in this film: from someone who wanted justice for his uncle to someone who no longer cares and just wants to help others. He'd probably forget about the killer by this point.
@@worthybutter2004 he didnt want justice he wanted revenge. Peter didnt become Spiderman until the bridge where he saved the little boy. Its why he let them go as for the Rhino pretty sure he was caught in the beginning and just escape by the end of the film. It was. I don’t understand why people hated that movie. It’s the Spider-Man Movie that’s most inline with the 1990s show and the Comicbooks. I’d argue it’s better than Overrated Spider-Man though I don’t like TASM’s take on Gwen Stacy. They dropped the ball horribly in TASM2. Sorry not sorry…
Tobey and Andrew will always be the best live action Spider-Man. I could care less about Tom. The MCU is meh to me. I only liked RDJ. He was the best part of that franchise.
I hated andrew garfield spiderman as he was actually to good looking and was showcased as a player. He just met gwen stacy, a hot chick from his high school and 15 minutes later he is dating her and going into her room at night. That just didn't feel liek the peter parker i knew from my childhood. What i hate about this movie is that they completely destroyed spiderman's reasons and motivations to become a great hero.
