Other times you know what you want, and you deliberately want to order online for the sake of convenience. It's not always about it being appetising. When that is the situation then whether the apps were out or even the internet people would find ways to order, yellow pages etc.

@bornintoit I used to use Just Eat but as of a month or so ago they stopped taking cash on delivery meaning I had to put in card details, and pay a 50p charge. they also bumped the minimum order up to a tenner. now I use Hungry House I can still pay £7.50 minimum order (which I means I can afford to get myself a takeaway if no one else wants one) and pay the driver cash without worrying about fucking around with card details. the best bit is the food is coming from the same restaurant.
As of 16 October 2020, just eat is worth £14 billion. Big players - Ubereats, Deliveroo, are on top the game competing with just eats. The asking investments was £100,000 but they sold it on to just eat for two hundred million a few years later. Just wondering if Peter jones team could thought of that

Also two of the Dragons on the U.S. version(Shark Tank) are from the Canadian version. Ive seen every episode for the UK/Ireland/Canada an the Shark Tank. The only difference between the North American versions and the European versions are the differences in culture. While the Euro versions have a more wheeling an dealing vibe the North Americans are geared towards higher ratings.
