Been using the Moto Edge 20 since December'21 and I received a stable android 12 update on 21 April'22. Absolutely love the experience Moto is providing now. Also I'm so glad to have purchased this phone as if I'd waited a few months more, I'd have waited for the Edge 30 and I do not like the no telephoto downgrade of it. I mean the telephoto lens is super super useful to me while clicking sexy zoomed shots(sometimes produces effective blur too) and sunset timelapses with it look crazy good! Apart from that, it's great to see Moto providing OIS in the primary camera, though tbvh, OIS present in the Edge 20's telephoto lens felt more required. And the 6.5 inch display must've made the edge 30 slightly more compact which is a big deal, the Edge 20 is hard to use with one hand :(

It's all I want.🤷🏻♂️ And 50+50 MP setup on top of that is like the icing on the cake! I'll use G-cam for when things get too difficult, but looking at it's night time results, I don't feel like it'd be necessary. What spoiled this cake is the rotten cherry on top of the icing - lack of a zoom lens! Even if it cost us 30k for it's inclusion, I'd have been happy with it, especially since Pixel 6A would be priced around the 40K mark! Oh well, beggars can't be choosers.😞 I'm gonna be content with it. I hope I'll be able to buy it next month.

after listening to some so-called 'influencers' ' negativity i cancelled my edge 30, TWICE. but a few days ago i relied on my gut-feeling and finally bought keeping in mind the sensor size and micron size of the camera. it's truly a wow-phone. and by 'camera' i mean, rear camera. selfieholic is a mental illness. the main camera lens holds excellent sharpness. unlike edge 20 which had a tremendous falling of sharpness beyond a small circle at the very centre. this lens also has proper depth of field. so all objects in the same focal-plane remain in almost-equal focus and sharpness. the focusing-speed is instant, as advertized. you just twist your hand, open camera and point. bam! instantly-focused. iso is so much lower as compared to an 108mp, as expected. the huge micron-size helps here a lot.
The features that's been provided at that price is reasonable and justifiable. So kudos to the price. Its a compact phone and i am ready to adjust with battery size of 4000 mah. 33wt charger its also adjustable. In short it has everything that i am looking for. A compact phone,near stock android, snapdragon processor, pOLED display,onscreen figerprint,think shield security. For me this phone have every edge to become the best phone under 30k.
i checked this today at croma and was so impressed by 1 thing.. the apps opening speed - wow its like blazing quick i have not seen any other phone like that. i feels like the click effect happens even before u click it haha. the only 1 problem with this is the battery. 4000 and 33w charging will not do for me. im curious to know about the edge 30 pro i think that will be the perfect one for me
The only disappointment is we are unable to disable motion sensing when ambient display is enabled. This causes the screen to light up at the slightest of movements
Motorola is definitely making a real comeback with its edge lineup phones. Last year was also good and this year even better. One side there is a company like OnePlus who had a big market in hand but lost to its greed and then there are companies like Motorola which (despite being Chinese now) learn from their mistakes, keep on improving and keep amazing us. Almost perfect !! I really wish they could've kept the aluminium frame. I'm using Moto Z2 force for 4 years now. The build quality and ergonomics comes with aluminium frame can never be matched with acrylics. I'm looking for a phone change, And this might end up as my new phone 💜
@@aswin5792 yes, the lower part around finger print scanner was a little distorted though. But I was able to manage it with a sharp blade, I just cut the part which started to pop out 😁. It's all good.

The only downside for this phone is battery, considering with its 144 hz. For 2022, 4500 mah is the min size for android phones. Making the phone a bit thicker & heavier is fine, as long it doesn't exceed 180g & 8 mm thick. Overall, this phone is quite solid.

Having a lightest phone of 2021 i.e. Xiaomi 11 lite NE 5g.. I felt happy that other brands are also coming with such lite phones.. These lite phones are definitely a treat to use and You'll feel it in your day to day use💯
Just got this phone day before yesterday ,After setting it all up I went and tested thermal throttling on my phone and got to know the difference between 778 and 778 plus is not just 2.5 for fastest a78 core the other 3 cores also go from 2.2 to 2.4 and the 4 power efficient cores go from 1.9 to 1.8 this might help in giving better performance on demand and will save some battery as well on light tasks . The phone works flawlessly and moderate use over the whole day leaves me with 25 percent battery left and I get 9 to 10 hours screen on time.
@@dawn1741 camera is great ,both rear cameras are really good in day and night ,white balance game is straight out of google pixel, sharpness and details are adequate and their dynamic range is phenomenal. Front camera originally takes pretty sharp photos but then when you view them in gallery they appear over smoothened. Video from rear and front camera is the best you'll find under 30k with stabilisation and 4k ,similar to the photos it captures massive amount of details in 4k video too and OIS does work but could have been better (cant complain much cause of 30k budget restrictions as better OIS modules cost more).

Moto is on its way back to full revival and I can't wait to see what they come up with next. But truth be told, they need a better looking camera module. The bubbly module takes away from the aesthetics. Btw, any alternative for Ready-For which could work on all Android devices?
i like vanilla android a lot.. atLEST they should have increased the battary size to lets say ..4500 mah..or may be kept it same but increases the charging capacity to a highter wattage
I use a smartphone cover anyway, so I'm not particular about the glass back or metal frame. In fact lighter smartphones are welcome since the the cover adds some weight. I'm not a power user either, so the low capacity battery is not an issue for me. I'm also a sucker for the compact form factor. Only gripe is that the in-display fingerprint reader seems awefully down.

Whatever you say but MicroSD card is s huge deal for me. I have bought this phone but can't make it as my primary phone due to MicroSD card slot. My primary phone is still Samsung Note 10+ with 256GB MicroSD card. My primary use is video recording and 6 to 7 hours screen on time.

It is fairly a good phone. But according to me moto again missed the perfection mark due to lower battery capacity, no headphone jack and downgrading to plastic frame.
Major disadvantages battery, no app lock, no facility of floating windows... Stereo speakers vibrate back side of the phone while tuned to full volume.. performance is fantastic.. as being a user of redmi series earlier I can say .. Xiaomi is way ahead of other midrange flagships as it comes with a lot of features at low prices.... At midrange redmi note series phones are the winners.....

Hey Motorola India listen to me, considering the features and pricing it seems to be good smart phone. Although it is a good phone, but there are still some short comings. First of all, what would we do with extra slimness sacrificing some good specs ? Who carries charger where ever he goes ? We want longer battery life rather than frequent charging. Aspect ratio should have been 19:9 or 19.5:9. 20:9 aspect ration makes the phone narrower and taller which makes difficult typing for people with thick thumbs and degrades audio pick up via micro phone respectably. Not necessarily everybody watches movie on their screen. 6.5 inch screen size is ok it should habe been 19:9 or 19.5:9. It should have been equipped with atleast 5000mah battery, dedicated micro SD card slot, 3.5 mm jack, atleast UFS 2.1 and metal frame and glass back. All these could have been managed under 190 gm weight and 8 to 8.5 mm thickness increasing price by 2-3k. If all these had been done, it would habe been a perfectly perfect phone. I am still using Motorola G5s plus for 4 years. Prior to this, I had used Moto G3 turbo and Moto X play. Take my suggestions to your consideration. There is a huge fan follower in India. Thank you.
You have other options in the market with your requirements. Why don't you look into that? Is it for the brand name "Moto"? I think Moto did a great job with this device. It's not for all out there. But definitely this is a killer phone
green and violet lines came after six months of use,(Edge 30) visited calicut service centre, after microscopic analysis they found a scratch on left top edge of display and rejected the warranty claim.

Moto is on its way back to full revival and I can't wait to see what they come up with next. But truth be told, they need a better looking camera module. The bubbly module takes away from the aesthetics. Btw, any alternative for Ready-For which could work on all Android devices?

I use a smartphone cover anyway, so I'm not particular about the glass back or metal frame. In fact lighter smartphones are welcome since the the cover adds some weight. I'm not a power user either, so the low capacity battery is not an issue for me. I'm also a sucker for the compact form factor. Only gripe is that the in-display fingerprint reader seems awefully down.
Glass back would look same even after 3-4 years but plastic will look quite old due to scratches

I have bought this phone but can't make it as my primary phone due to MicroSD card slot.
My primary phone is still Samsung Note 10+ with 256GB MicroSD card. My primary use is video recording and 6 to 7 hours screen on time.
Lpddr5 is paired with ufs3.1 and umcp means both are integrated into one chip for small space, it also saves battery.
Does this phone have ufs 3.1 or umcp storage

I will wait for the full reviews of this phone. Photos look good but from the samples, they kinda look like overprocessed/sharpened. Btw people will try gcam and nothing brats gcam/Google's image processing imo.
i checked this today at croma and was so impressed by 1 thing..
the apps opening speed - wow its like blazing quick i have not seen any other phone like that.
i feels like the click effect happens and the app is open and ready even before u click it haha.

the only 1 problem with this is the battery. 4000 and 33w charging will not do for me.

It is fairly a good phone. But according to me moto again missed the perfection mark due to lower battery capacity, no headphone jack and downgrading to plastic frame.

Camera and performance are important to me.
Major disadvantages battery, no app lock, no facility of floating windows... Stereo speakers vibrate back side of the phone while tuned to full volume.. performance is fantastic.. as being a user of redmi series earlier I can say .. Xiaomi is way ahead of other midrange flagships as it comes with a lot of features at low prices.... At midrange redmi note series phones are the winners.....

Hey Motorola India listen to me, considering the features and pricing it seems to be good smart phone. Although it is a good phone, but there are still some short comings. First of all, what would we do with extra slimness sacrificing some good specs ? Who carries charger where ever he goes ? We want longer battery life rather than frequent charging. Aspect ratio should have been 19:9 or 19.5:9. 20:9 aspect ration makes the phone narrower and taller which makes difficult typing for people with thick thumbs and degrades audio pick up via micro phone respectably. Not necessarily everybody watches movie on their screen. 6.5 inch screen size is ok it should habe been 19:9 or 19.5:9. It should have been equipped with atleast 5000mah battery, dedicated micro SD card slot, 3.5 mm jack, atleast UFS 2.1 and metal frame and glass back. All these could have been managed under 190 gm weight and 8 to 8.5 mm thickness increasing price by 2-3k. If all these had been done, it would habe been a perfectly perfect phone. I am still using Motorola G5s plus for 4 years. Prior to this, I had used Moto G3 turbo and Moto X play. Take my suggestions to your consideration. There is a huge fan follower in India. Thank you.
You have other options in the market with your requirements. Why don't you look into that? Is it for the brand name "Moto"? I think Moto did a great job with this device. It's not for all out there. But definitely this is a killer phone

green and violet lines came after six months of use,(Edge 30) visited calicut service centre, after microscopic analysis they found a scratch on left top edge of display and rejected the warranty claim.
