the facets of the green gem, morpheus's speech to mathew, was the author's self-speaking. gaiman talks thru dream of his own story-telling. every character, every story are all facets of his heart, that gem placed over his chest, and dream is his own facet, no more and no less than all the rest, tho he often seems the center of it all. one of the ravens he sent back to the world from the dreaming was edgar allen poe. that raven thot he wanted to go to earth, but found out he was mistaken and really didn't like it. there's hat tips to other authors thru out his stories that gaiman admired. i find it interesting that one of the authors that moved him the most was only half hinted to, to be picked up by only those who pick up these things. what do you think of that?, rules ancient and true before the ideas of ancients outside of us grew, neither hated nor loved, but as meet as death lay prone at idea's steps, as with all the rest.
So besides looking like the lead singer of the cure the sandman is timeless from beginning to end. I first read the series in 2014...it was so easy to forget yourself in the world of The endless.

I think Rose was in this story to remind us of Desire's first attempt to get Morpheus to take the life of a member of his family in order to open him up to the retribution of the Kindly Ones, prior to his taking the life of Orpheus.

Just wondering if you were planning on covering Endless nights after you finish the main series as it acts as a nice follow up to the series and gives us a look into the character of each of the endless.
I was going to stop with Sandman after 10. Really looking forward to doing some other stuff for a bit. But I figured when the TV show is finally coming out, I might revisit then and maybe go through Endless Nights and Overture and maybe even the Death mini-series.

The art style is good. But this volume should had a better art style that goes well the story.. This part is important and should had a better darker art style * my opinion *
I’m one of those who hated the art. It was so cartoony and blocky, it just seemed out of place for the seriousness. Sometimes it came off almost chibi style which I just didnt like. It was so off putting for me personally I stopped reading the series for a few years. Thats just my opinion; I understand people like it and thats ok :)

Then the show comes out, and several other channels put out tons of videos similar to mine raking in tons of views, and the lawyers do nothing to those videos. Dude. It is often stated that the reason the witches were able to defeat Morpheus was to kill their own son, that is, to break the rules. And in fact, they still can't kill Morpheus. They can only force suicide.

I think it just means that the Netflix will be it's own thing that is loosely based on the comics, but isn't going to be strictly following them.
