Taking place during Batman's early days of crime fighting, the classic mystery tells the story of a mysterious killer who murders his prey only on holidays. Working with District Attorney Harvey Dent and Captain James Gordon, Batman races against the calendar as he tries to discover who Holiday is before he claims his next victim each month. A mystery that has the reader continually guessing the identity of the killer, this story also ties into the events that transform Harvey Dent into Batman's deadly enemy, Two-Face.

In my research for this video I learned about Batgirl’s complicated retconning over the years. Pre-Frank Miller Batman Year One, Batgirl was James Gordon’s daughter, but because of Year One they changed things. So Barbara Gordon (James’ wife) was not the mother of Barbara Gordon (Batgirl). Batgirl was made to be the daughter of James Gordon’s brother, so she was James Gordon’s niece.
Later we find out though that James Gordon banged his brothers wife, and he’s actually Batgirl’s father anyway. Eventually Batgirl’s parents die, so James Gordon adopts her. So in a roundabout way, they made her his daughter once again.
In the New 52, they retconned all that complicated nonsense, and just made Batgirl the daughter of James and Barbara Gordon, and the brother of James Gordon Jr. without it being ultra convoluted.
I was going to explain this all in the video, but didn’t want to waste 5 minutes on it.

@@dannymalt yeah. Especially DC The New Frontier. When I think of superheroes in a real world. I honestly think of New Frontier. Since it doesn't do the same as Watchmen or The Boys or anything else. It's truly unique in how it approaches it's concept of superheroes in the real world.

it is Bruce second year as batman. he isn't going to be as prepared as most batman's.

I liked some of the movies, but I never got around to the comics unfortunately. They seem pretty cool tho, I almost took the plunge a couple times and was going to try and read em all, but never pulled the trigger on it.
One character I’ve started going through is Conan The Barbarian. At Dark Horse they have a whole 20+ volume run, that covers his entire life story, I’m halfway thru it.

Easily the most enjoyable read I’ve had with a Batman book…even if it’s actually pretty terrible and the plot holes/contradictions make it worse upon reflection.

Dark Victory next. Another great tale. Seems that Danny predicts what I have just read or have just spent a load of cash on buying then tells the story. Happened with Invincible then The Boys and same again with The Sandman. Going by this logic I predict that Danny will do Fables (one of the best stories ever) and Powers in the near future. There are just so many good stories out there and most of them are not DC or Marvel.

It’s true there is 3 holiday killers. but in no way they did not work together.
let’s break it down
gilda dent: her motivation was to spend time with her husband. and by that killing off johnny, the irish mob and falcones right hand man. sickening that she would be the first to start this shit show.
alberto: after the killings gilda did, the falcone mob was enraged thinking it was the maroni’s. this theory is that alberto may be working with his father carmine. he faked his death to take himself out of the picture. and behind the scenes fooling everyone including his aunt and sister. carmine then gives the hit on his enemies the maroni mob. it’s also why alberto did not kill the riddler, because alberto knew he is working alongside his father carmine, and to give him a warning.
harvey: after the maroni’s thinking these killings where from harvey, sal wanted his revenge and gave harvey the acid. he took it further and stole the evidence of previous holiday murders and get back at carmine and vernon.
In conclusion, at first gilda, alberto and harvey did not work with each other. but afterwards guilda then realizes that harvey was apart of it due to the evidence stole and later throws to the fire at the end. gilda must and should feel like shit. she started this shit show.
