Appreciate the video! I actually remember watching some of your earlier videos when I was installing the whole Banks starter kit like you have, (CAI, boos pipes, and the Monster Ram Air,) and they helped me get the big picture I needed to get through the project. I did all that with about 500 miles on my new MY23 2500 Rebel, and have about 11.5k miles now. I've done just the one change at 5.5k miles and am trying to stretch the next one out to around 7k miles or so. With the Banks boost tubes and the Banks CAI, I as well, couldn't get that oil filter out below in the front pax wheel well, (boots for those beautiful boost tubes just took up too much room,) so I had to remove the Banks CAI. I noticed in your video how you just removed the air tube out of the way and didn't even disconnect the two sensors; great idea! That will save me a lot of time here the next time I change my oil. On the oil filters, I would recommend just got to Walmart and get a Mobil 1 Extended Performance 20k mile M1-403A filter for just a little over $11. Can't beat it for the price and availability. Even WM gets nearly $16 for the MO-285 filters that aren't as good as the Mann-Hummel filters from Mobil 1 that can go up to 20k miles. Also, heads up on the 15w-40 oil! Cummins says NOT to run the 15w-40 in the Ram 2019+ 6.7's as they switched to hydraulic lifters. Previous 6.7's love the 15w-40, but with these new lifters - beware; Ram won't warranty your motor if they see your oil records using 15w-40. They say to now use 10w-30 down to 0°F and then a 5w-40 if you live where it may get colder than that. In Central Texas, I like a 5w-40 in the Summer heat for better all around protection, IMO. Plus, a 40w oil will just protect better than a 30w oil. Any CK-4 oil in those two viscosities and you will be fine, but I prefer Valvoline since Cummins has endorsed them and they put their logo on their bottles. I have been finding it cheapest at Walmart online or Amazon delivered to your door, (WM's threshold for free shipping is just $35.) Thanks for taking the time to post all that you have, I for one have found them helpful!
@@AirRyanTX hey man! Awesome, thanks for returning back and watching another video. Glad they were able to help you out! Yes I just removed the CAI pipe and it made for pretty easy access. Glad that tip will help you in the future! My next oil filter I will be getting something different, along with the oil. I am coming up due for another change soon. I did not know that about the oil, thanks for the tip! I will have to look into your recommendations for sure. I usually use the Mopar brand filters and will more than likely go back to that if the price is right. Docs has not been bad though. I feel like routine maintenance makes them a decent option. I appreciate you taking the time to reply brother! I enjoy making the videos and haven’t done anything to the truck in a bit. I really enjoy meeting people and the videos actually helping other people. So far all the Banks stuff is doing great. Not a single regret in doing the upgrades. They are great. Sounds like you are enjoying yours also. I am looking into other videos to make for the truck but actually going to start some on the old Pontiac! Again, thanks for taking the time to comment! Look forward to hearing from you again
@@Johnobee1 aha! I guess they found out that was an issue. Thanks for the info! I will doing a CCV delete in the near future with a catch can. Thanks for the info!
Hello 👋🏻 just watched your video, I recommend that you check out Geno’s Garage and get yourself a tee Handle filter cap so you can just lower your filter down and once it’s off you then install this tool on the filter and pull it out It’s a lot easier. And using the same tool to install the filter I also recommend that you lube the filter Pryor to installing. As far as the oil drain plug goes install a fomoto oil drain valve No mess oil change, I have it on my Ram as a matter of fact I have a fomoto valve on my explorer as well. Never had any problems.
@@SosaWorkSr no I didn’t fill up the filter before re-installing. Everything with the engine seems perfectly fine. It is performing very well and I am actually coming up on another oil change.
I’m just curious how the oil has any impact on the diesel particulate filter…? There shouldn’t be oil in the exhaust stream so why wouldn’t that oil work for an intact pickup?
@@erickoennecke3308 I was informed that the extra additives could be a problem for the DPF, not necessarily the oil itself self. They recently changed the formula of this to be used on newer models since shooting this video. However, I always recommend doing your own research to make sure it will work for your application!

Banks started including a copper washer/gasket for the heating element, you might consider getting one if it continues leaking.

Love your videos used it to install my banks parts. Just curious where did you get your tunes from? I’m looking to do the same. Thanks in advance.

You did not full filter up with oil? Eny difference in engine noise or preforming?

I’m curious on how your truck like or dislike that oil especially the weight which calls for 10 W 30? Can you reply and let me know?
